  • Purpose: The study was done to identify the relationship of treatment side effects, family support, and quality of life in patients with cancer, and factors influencing quality of life. Method: A convenience sample of 106 patients who were receiving cancer treatment at W hospital were interviewed using the Side Effects scale by Hur, Family Support scale by Kang, and QOL scale by Ro. Result: Results indicate that women experienced more severe side effects than men. There was a negative relationship between side effects and quality of life, and a positive relationship between family support and quality of life. The most bothersome side effects were changes in taste and appetite, followed by general weakness and fatigue. Side effects such as loss of hair, nausea, dizziness, numbness, pins and needles in fingers and toes, and dry mouth were also experienced. General weakness and family support were analysed as to whether they were factors influencing quality of life. Conclusion: The results revealed that relieving general weakness should be given high priority in nursing interventions for patients undergoing cancer treatment. In addition, nursing programs should be developed that can reinforce family support.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influencing factors of Korean adolescents' consumption of convenience foods based on a bio-psycho-social model. Data were obtained from the 15th (2019) Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which involved a nationwide representative sample of 57,303 middle- and high-school students. As a result of the study, gender, grade, and atopic dermatitis were biological factors of convenience food intake in adolescents. The psychological factors were perceived stress level, experience of depression, suicidal ideation, subjective sleep sufficiency, perceived health status, physical activity, and current smoking and drinking. And nutrition and meal education, breakfast frequency, subjective academic achievement, subjective economic status, and family living together were sociological factors that affected adolescents' convenience food intake experience. Therefore, it is necessary to provide effective nutrition education programs and provide emotional support to manage healthy eating habits of adolescents. In addition, family members of adolescents should be included in education.

  • Generally, in construction sites, the pipe support installation workers often use support pins of 9~10 mm which are much smaller than the safety standard sizes for work convenience. Although the safety certification standard thickness of the support pins is 11 mm, and the supervisors are often indifferent to this. Hence, products with far lower performance than the pipe support safety certification value of 40,000 N, which is applied in the supporting post-structural review, are used. Accordingly, this acts as a factor causing collapse accidents in the process of pouring concrete at the construction site. Therefore, this study performed compression experiments on new and reused pipe supports to determine how the thickness of the support pins affects the structural compression performance of the pipe support by considering the thickness of the support pins as a critical variable among various factors affecting the pipe support performance. In the course of the study, the compression test of the pipe support (V2, V4) for the new products showed that only 14 (58.3%) of the total 24 samples satisfied the safety certification standard value of 40,000 N, which indicates that more thorough quality control is required in the manufacturing process. Additionally, comparing the thickness of the support pins and their fracture shape shows that the pipes with support length of 4.0 m or longer are much more affected by the buckling of the entire length than the thickness of the support pins. Of the several factors affecting the performance of reused pipe supports, it was found that, similar to the new products, the use of support pins, with thickness of 12 mm rather than 11 mm, can satisfy the safety certification value more appropriately. Therefore, regardless of the state of usage, it could be concluded that it is necessary to use 12 mm products, whose thickness is larger than that of the safety certification standard value of 11 mm, to improve the performance of the pipe supports.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine correlates of depression and perceived health status in patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods: The study utilized a descriptive correlational survey design. A convenience sample of 115 subjects were recruited from 3 tertiary medical centers. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, hierarchical multiple regression. Results: 1) Study subjects perceived the low frequency of symptoms, relatively high social support, low depression, moderately low physical health, and mental health. 2) The 38% of variance in depression was significantly explained by symptom(${\beta}$ = .49), social support(${\beta}$ = -.21), and education(${\beta}$ = -.17). 3) The 40% of variance in physical health was significantly explained by symptom(${\beta}$ = -.55), social support(${\beta}$ = .16), and education(${\beta}$ = .20). 4) the 12% of variance in mental health was significantly explained by symptom(${\beta}$ = -.26), and social support(${\beta}$ = .24). Conclusion: Most health care providers assume atrial fibrillation patients have very few symptoms. However, symptom related to atrial fibrillation was found to be the most important factors in explaining depression and perceived health status. Additionally, higher social support had great influences on the lower depression and higher perceived health status. Based on the findings of this study, directions for nursing practice and further nursing research for patients with atrial fibrillation are suggested.

In order words, electronic commerce satisfaction became greater when better convenience and economy were provided, the ethics were observed better, more diverse information was supplied and better system support was given, and those who had a higher educational background or better perception of electronic commerce felt more satisfaction. Finally, more usefulness of electronic commerce led to bigger satisfaction after purchase.

  • Waste to Energy Plant were recognized as hateful facilities, and there were many conflicts in the location due to social problems such as the NIMBY phenomenon due to problems such as damage to property in the surrounding area, odor, and image loss. Problems such as air pollution and odor are solved by the development of advanced prevention facilities such as electric dust collectors, wet cleaning systems, semi-dry reaction towers, bag filters, and catalyst towers (SCR: Selective Catalytic Reduction), and air recycling facilities in waste storage tanks. However, it is being avoided because of the perception that it is an incinerator. To resolve these conflicts, the government installs and operates resident convenience facilities to compensate residents near resource recovery facilities, provides green space and improves the environment, and supports heating expenses in accordance with the 「Waste Treatment Facility Support Act」. The purpose of this study is to derive implications through the analysis of domestic and overseas case studies for resident convenience facilities and environment improvement for the promotion of local communities in resource recovery facilities and use them as basic data for community promotion and environmental improvement when installing resource recovery facilities in the future.
