미국과 유럽의 항공기 기술표준품 인증절차에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Certification Procedures for Technical Standard Order Authorization of USA and Europe)

  • The Technical Standard Order articles are the parts and appliances for which the civil aviation authority designates as it is necessary to standardize for the expedited certification process and aviation safety. TSO articles were used on the type certified aircraft as replacement parts in the early days of TSO authorization system, but those articles are widely used on the newly developed aircraft as well in these days. In this paper, we compared the differences of the TSO authorization systems between FAA and EASA, and proposed the rulemaking items to improve Korean TSO authorization system and to contribute to growth of aviation industry.

Behavior of tunnel form buildings under quasi-static cyclic lateral loading

  • In this paper, experimental investigations on the inelastic seismic behavior of tunnel form buildings (i.e., box-type or panel systems) are presented. Two four-story scaled building specimens were tested under quasi-static cyclic lateral loading in longitudinal and transverse directions. The experimental results and supplemental finite element simulations collectively indicate that lightly reinforced structural walls of tunnel form buildings may exhibit brittle flexural failure under seismic action. The global tension/compression couple triggers this failure mechanism by creating pure axial tension in outermost shear-walls. This type of failure takes place due to rupturing of longitudinal reinforcement without crushing of concrete, therefore is of particular interest in emphasizing the mode of failure that is not routinely considered during seismic design of shear-wall dominant structural systems.

연소기 후치 가스터빈에 관한 열역학적 연구 (A Thermodynamic Study on Exhaust Heated Gas Turbine Cycle)

  • An exhaust-heated gas turbine cycle equipped with a waste heat recovery boiler and ammonia absorption-type refrigerator using waste heat is newly devised and analyzed. The general performance of this cycle is compared with that of the conventional gas turbine cycle. This cycle shows a potential high efficiency. When 1500K of gas turbine inlet temperature the efficiency is 53 percent as compared to 45 percent for a conventional combined cycle. Suction cooling of this cycle leads to improve the thermal efficiency and the specific output.

민간의료보험 가입자와 미가입자 간 외래 고가영상검사 이용의 격차: 건강보험 보장성 강화 정책에 따른 변화 (Disparities in High-cost Outpatient Imaging Test Utilization between Private Health Insurance Subscribers and Non-subscribers: Changes Following the National Health Insurance Benefit Expansion Policy)

  • Background: While there are many studies estimating the effects of private health insurance on various types of health care utilization, few have examined how such effects change in conjunction with important policy reforms in national health insurance (NHI). This study examined how the effect of private health insurance (supplemental and fixed cash benefit) on high-cost outpatient imaging test utilization changed following the expansion of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) coverage in 2018, which is a key example of the NHI benefit expansion policy in recent years. Methods: Data from the 2017 and 2019 Korea Health Panel Survey, which contained information about healthcare utilization before and after the expansion of MRI coverage in 2018, were used. The incremental effect of private health insurance on high-cost outpatient imaging test utilization for each period were quantified and compared, with special attention given to the type of private health insurance. Results: While people with supplemental private health insurance were more likely to use high-cost outpatient imaging tests than those without, both before and after the expansion of MRI coverage, the incremental effect increased from 1.6% points in 2017 to 2.5% points in 2019. Conclusion: Benefit expansion in NHI does not necessarily reduce disparities in the use of health care between private health insurance subscribers and non-subscribers. The results of our study also suggest that the path through which private health insurance affects healthcare utilization may not be limited to the price mechanism alone but can be more complex.

종합병원 의료인의 교육훈련 인식이 의료인 상호간 커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Supplementary Education Awareness on Interpersonal Communication for Health Care Providers)

  • 본 연구는 종합병원 의료인의 교육훈련 인식이 의료인 상호간 커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 수행된 연구이다. 자료조사는 광주광역시, 전라남도 소재 29개 종합병원에서 근무하는 의료인 433명을 대상으로 2018년 6월 8일부터 2018년 6월 25일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 t-검정과 분산분석, 사후검정, 상관관계 및 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 인구사회학적 특성 및 건강관련 특성과 의료인 상호간 커뮤니케이션 차이를 검정한 결과 연령, 학력, 병상규모, 직업만족도, 소재지, 건강상태, 건강관리 교육경험, 우울경험에서, 교육훈련 인식은 연령, 병상규모, 직종, 급여수준, 의료기관 종류, 직업만족도, 소재지, 건강상태, 건강관리 교육경험, 만성질환 여부에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 의료인 상호간의 커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향 요인으로 학력, 건강관련 교육경험에서 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 연령과 병상규모(801병상 이상), 직업만족도에서는 연령이 높을수록, 병상규모가 801병상 이상인 경우, 직업에 만족하지 못할수록 부정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 교육훈련 하부요인인 지원환경, 학습전이, 성과에서 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 교육훈련 계획수립 시 성과와 지원환경, 학습전이를 높일 수 있는 교육훈련 프로그램 구축이 필요하며, 의학 및 간호학생들의 교육 과정에 커뮤니케이션의 정규 교육과정을 도입. 의료인 상호간 커뮤니케이션을 높여 환자에게 안전한 의료서비스를 제공해야 할 것이다.

Welfare assessment traits, milk quantity and quality, and profitability of Anatolian buffalo cows confined in closed-tied or semi-open free-stall barns can be affected by supplementary feeding at milking

  • Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of offering (OSF) or not (NSF) supplemental feed at milking on temperament (TS), udder hygiene (UHS) and body condition (BCS) scores, and milk yield per milking (MYM), milk quality traits, and profitability of primiparous Anatolian buffalo cows at 90 days of lactation confined in closed-tied (CB) or semi-open free-stall (OB) barns. Methods: In Experiment I, 108 cows were selected to encompass four treatments (OBOSF, OB-NSF, CB-OSF, and CB-NSF) of 27 cows, considering barn type (OB and CB) and supplementary feed (OSF and NSF) at milking. In Experiment II, 60 OB cows were selected to encompass one of five groups of 12 cows each: i) no supplemental feed (CON), ii) commercial concentrate (CC), iii) CC + corn silage (CCS), iv) CCS + alfalfa hay (CSA), or v) CC + ryegrass silage (CRS) at milking. Results: The TS and UHS of the OB and OSF cows were lower (better) than those of the CB and NSF cows, respectively. The OSF increased milk protein, lactose, and solids-not-fat but decreased milk freezing point and electrical conductivity compared with the NSF. The MYM and milk fat of the OB-OSF cows were higher than those of the OB-NSF and CBNSF cows. The TS and UHS of the cows negatively correlated with MYM and some milk chemicals (fat, protein, and solids-not-fat), but BCS correlated positively. The TS and milk electrical conductivity of the CCS, CSA, and CRS cows were lower than those of the CON and CC cows, but BCS, MYM, and milk fat were higher. Partial budget analysis identified a higher net profit for supplemental feed-offered groups (OB-OSF, CCS, CSA, and CRS). Conclusion: Offering roughage with concentrates at milking for indoor primiparous buffalo cows is more conducive to well-being, milk yield, milk quality, and economy.

Performance based optimal seismic retrofitting of yielding plane frames using added viscous damping

  • This paper is concerned with the optimal seismic design of added viscous dampers in yielding plane frames. The total added damping is minimized for allowable values of local performance indices under the excitation of an ensemble of ground motions in both regular and irregular structures. The local performance indices are taken as the maximal inter-story drift of each story and/or the normalized hysteretic energy dissipated at each of the plastic hinges. Gradients of the constraints with respect to the design variables (damping coefficients) are derived, via optimal control theory, to enable an efficient first order optimization scheme to be used for the solution of the problem. An example of a ten story three bay frame is presented. This example reveals the following 'fully stressed characteristics' of the optimal solution: damping is assigned only to stories for which the local performance index has reached the allowable value. This may enable the application of efficient and practical analysis/redesign type methods for the optimal design of viscous dampers in yielding plane frames.

  • This paper presents a study on the design and structural substantiation of the interior structure of the new VVIP aircraft. In this study, the structural design and analysis of the compartment with aluminum alloy and sandwich composite panel were performed. The structural design requirements from the Federal Aviation Administration were identified. The structural analysis of the compartment was performed by the utilization of the finite element analysis method, for the structural design process. Therefore, the designed cabin compartment secured the structural integrity, and satisfied its certification standards and design requirements via structural analysis.

유리판용 초음파 물기 제거기 개발 (development of Ultrasonic waterdrop Repellers for Glass Plates)

  • 본연구에서는 압전세라믹을 이용하여 외부에 노출된 유리판에 부착된 물방울을 효율적으로 제거할 수 있는 초음파 물기 제거장치를 개발하였다. 초음파 진동장치의 제작을 위하여 유한요소법을 사용하여 유리면의 진동특성을 분석하였고 이 결과를 바탕으로 체적의 효과를 얻을 수 있는 초음파 진동액츄에이터의 구조와 규격을 결정하였다. 진동장치의 제작에 있어서는 시뮬레이션 결과를 바탕으로 진동의 균일한 분포를 위해서 보조진동판을 사용하였고 주어진 크기의 유리판의 최적조건을 찾기 위해 보조진동판과 유리판의 다양한 두께와 압전소자의 크기와 두께에 따라서 그 특성을 알아보고 성능을 평가하였다. 구동 발진기는 유리판의 공진점을 추적하기 위해 일정 주파수대역을 스위핑하는 가변주파수 발진기로 제작하였다.

Effect of Unsaturated Fatty Acids on Cellulose Degradation and Fermentation Characteristics by Mixed Ruminal Microbes

  • This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of supplemental unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) on fermentation characteristics, especially on gas production, cellulose degradation and volatile fatty acid (VFA) concentration by mixed ruminal microorganisms. In order to attain this objective, unsaturated fatty acids including oleic acid (C 18:1), linoleic acid (C18:2) and arachidonic acid (C22:4) were added at varying level. Mixed ruminal microbes used in this experiment were obtained from the rumen of a cannulated Holstein cow. Medium pH values after 7 d incubation were significantly affected by type and level of unsaturated fatty acids (p<0.01). All of UFA inhibited total gas production, and especially treatment of arachidonic acid at the levels of 0.01% gave the lowest gas. production after 7 d incubation (p<0.01). Comparison of the population of protozoa revealed that UFA did not have any significant effect on the total protozoa number. The addition of UFA did not effect dry matter degradation. Volatile fatty acid (VFA) composition of the culture was influenced little by UFA, although the considerable amount of iso-type VFA were detected in UFA supplemented incubations. The ratio of acetic acids to propionic acids, however, was lower than control in all the treatments after 7 d incubation (p<0.01).
