  • This paper proposes the design methodology of genetic algorithm (GA)-based fuzzy Kalman filter for tracking the maneuvering target. The performance of the standard Kalman Filter (SKF) has been degraded because mismatches between the modeled target dynamics and the actual target dynamics. To solve this problem, we use the method to estimate the increment of acceleration by a fuzzy system using the relation between maneuver filter residual and non-maneuvering one. To optimize the fuzzy system, a genetic algorithm (GA) is utilized and this is then tuned by the fuzzy logic correction. Finally, the tracking performance of the proposed method has been compared with those of the input estimation (IE) technique and the intelligent input estimation (IIE) through computer simulations.

  • A realization for moving object detecting and tracking system in two dimensional plane using stereo line CCDs and lighting source is presented in this paper. Instead of processing camera images directly, two line CCD sensor and input line image is used to measure two dimensional distance by comparing the brightness on line CCDs. The algorithms are used the moving object tracking and coordinate converting method. To ensure the effective detection of moving path, a detection algorithm to evaluate the reliability of each measured distance is developed. The realized system results are that the performance of moving object recognizing shows 5mm resolution and mean error is 1.89%, and enables to track a moving path of object per 100ms period.

  • KIER has been running a demonstration project for 10kWe solar thermal power generation. the project is to build and operate the first solar thermal power generation system in Korea. For concentrating solar thermal energy $40m^2$ dish type concentrator was adapted and a stirling engine is going to be integrated to the system for power production. At the moment building the dish concentrator including mirror and sun tracking system was completed and it's performance are being closely evaluated. This paper will introduce some detailed designs and construction procedures which we have experienced so far.

  • In order to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus in big cities, this paper proposes a semantic diagnosis and tracking system based on Linked Data through the cluster analysis of the infection situation in Seoul, South Korea. This paper is mainly composed of three sections, information of infected people in Seoul is collected for the cluster analysis, important infected patient attributes are extracted to establish a diagnostic model based on random forest, and a tracking system based on Linked Data is designed and implemented. Experimental results show that the accuracy of our diagnostic model is more than 80%. Moreover, our tracking system is more flexible and open than existing systems and supports semantic queries.

  • The PV power generation system is a comprehensive system that transmits the power generated through a PV panel to a grid connection and is composed of a solar panel, a structure, and an inverter grid connection system. One technology to increase the amount of power generated involves changing the incident angle of sunlight. This study examined the structure and control of a single-axis tracking PV system that increases the amount of power generated by changing the incident angle. The core content is a single-axis control system and technology configured to rotate the solar structure in the east-west direction around the north-south axis. A solar structure that follows the sun from sunrise to sunset in the east-west direction needs to secure structural stability and solar tracking control performance. A single-axis tracking system can generate up to 25% more power.

  • Finding sufficient supplies of clean energy for future is one of the society's most important challenges according to technologies. Alternative renewable energy source such as sun energy can be substituted for exceeding human energy need. The main factor affect to solar performance is a collective intensity. To enhance intensity, suitable equipment is a solar tracker. This paper presents design and evaluation of 1 layer polar motion control system for solar tracker suitable for building integrated system. To evaluation of tracking accuracy and adaptability, solar tracker with 64 links is implemented. In experimental results, the accuracy of tracking has under ${\pm}0.0287^{\circ}$ and the thickness has under 140mm.

  • This paper proposes two-mode tracking system control algorithm to improve efficiency of PV system. Two-mode control algorithm tracks sun position using sensor method and program method with insolation condition. Also, in this case that insolation is very low, tracking system is controlled by environment mode to reduce the power loss. Proposed algorithm is applied the PV system and analyzes the generation value. And this algorithm proves the validity of this paper through the experimental result.

  • The real-time tracking system is an essential factor for the development of low cost sensor networks for use in pervasive computing and ubiquitous networking. In this paper, we address the interference problems of the sensor network platform with ultrasonic for location tracking system. Ubiquitous indoor environments often contain substantial amounts of metal and other such reflective materials that affect the propagation of radio frequency signals in non-trivial ways, causing severe multi-path effects, dead-spots, noise, and interference. Especially we present a novel reducing interference location system that is particularly well suited to support context-aware computing. The system called Pharos, aims to combine the advantages of real-time tracking systems that implement distributed environment with regardless of infrastructure or infrastructure-less wireless sensor networks.

  • Stand-alone global position system receiver based on C/A code tracking generates position error of 100m mainly due to the selective availability and ionospheric and tropospheric delay errors. The differential GPS is the most commonly used method for removing those bias range error components. The relative GPS, although somewhat restrictive in its use, is ideally suited to the car monitoring system for improved Automatic Vehicle location, especially where the DGPS infrastructure is not available. The RGPS does not require any additional hardware, facility or external infrastructure and can be operated within the system with existing host computer and communication link. This paper presents detailed description of the RGPS concept and its implementation for real-time data processing. Performance of RGPS is evaluated with real data and is compared with DGPS.

  • The present study investigated the tracking system of a reflector to trace the movement of sun. The system was designed to minimize the error between the vertical vector of reflector and the position of sun. The proposed system was able to collect the sun lights at a point as a useful source of light energy and transmit the collected light to a remote area through optical fibers. Also the study successfully solved the controller design problem due to the complexity of modeling of the sun tracking system using a fuzzy logic controller which mimics human reasoning.
