吸氣冷却-蒸氣噴射 가스터빈 사이클에 관한 열역학적 연구 (A Thermodynamic Study on Suction Cooling-Steam Injected Gas Turbine Cycle)

  • 본 연구에서는 사이클은 터빈 출구로 부터 배출되는 폐열을 최대한 회수하여 얻은 증기를 연소기내에 분사시킴으로써 부가적인 압축기 및 비출력의 상향을 기할수 있다.아울러 폐열이용 암모니아 흡수기 냉동기를 구동하여 압축기 입구 온도를 낮 춤에 의해 열효율 및 비출력의 증대는 물론 대기온도 변화에 따른 기관 성능의 변동을 감소시킬 수 있다.

  • The objective of this paper is to know the characteristics of pressure through a simplified typical carburetor used in small engines at the different throttle opening conditions. The carburetor is the device responsible for creating the right air-fuel mixture according to the different engine operating conditions. It is activated by the static or the dynamic pressure. The carburetor dummy is geometrically similar of LPG brush-cutter engine's diaphragm carburetor and is made of acrylic. Suction system gives body to crankcase vacuum using the vacuum pump and throttle opening conditions are controled by transfer device. Carburetor venturi throat and fuel charging tube diameter is each 20mm, 4.1mm. The result of the work presents an unprecedented phenomenon of suction pressure variation inside the carburetor venturi. It is predicted that these unprecedented pressure variation be caused by minor losses; sudden contraction or expansion, open or partially closed and so on.

The effect of suction pipe leaning angle on the internal flow of pump sump

  • A better flow condition for the intake of pump is provided by the sump pump that connects the forebay to the intake of the pump station. If the suction sump is improperly shaped or sized, air-entraining vortices or submerged vortices may develop. These phenomena may greatly affect pump operation if vortices become sufficiently large. Moreover, any remaining vortices in the pump flow passage may result in an increase in the noise and vibration of the pump. Therefore, the vortices in the pump flow passage must be reduced to achieve good pump sump station performance. In this study, the effect of suction pipe leaning angle on the pump sump's internal flow is investigated. Additionally, a pipe type with an elbow shape is investigated. The results show that the air entraining vortices occur under the condition of a water level ratio H/D = 1.31 for each suction pipe type.

경계층 유동의 흡입에 의한 수직충격파 진동저감 (Reduction of Normal Shock-Wave Oscillations by Turbulent Boundary Layer Flow Suction)

  • Experiments of shock-wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction were conducted by using a supersonic wind tunnel. Nominal Mach number was varied in the range of 1.6 to 3.0 by means of different nozzles. The objective of the present study is to investigate the effects of boundary layer suction on normal shock-wave oscillations caused by shock wave/boundary layer interaction in a straight duct. Two-dimensional slits were installed on the top and bottom walls of the duct to bleed turbulent boundary layer flows. The bleed flows were measured by an orifice. The ratio of the bleed mass flow to main mass flow was controlled below the range of 11 per cent. Time-mean and fluctuating wall pressures were measured, and Schlieren optical observations were made to investigate time-mean flow field. Time variations in the shock wave displacement were obtained by a high-speed camera system. The results show that boundary layer suction by slits considerably reduce shock-wave oscillations. For the design Mach number of 2.3, the maximum amplitude of the oscillating shock-wave reduces by about 75% compared with the case of no slit for boundary layer suction.

회전브러쉬와 혼탁방지막을 활용한 수륙양용형 Scrub/흡입 준설장치의 개발과 현장적용 (Development and Field Application of an Amphibious Scrubbing/Suction Dredging Machine with Cylindrical Rotating Brush and Turbidity Barrier)

  • 도시물순환시스템 내 10 cm 내외로 퇴적된 오염물질과 자갈이나 다양한 구조물에 부착된 부착조류와 협잡물을 쓸어내어(scrubbing) 제거가 가능하며, 오염물질이 주변으로 방출 확산되어 수체의 2차 오염을 방지할 수 있는 덮개(housing)와 혼탁 방지막(turbidity barrier)이 설치된 회전 브러쉬(rotating brush)를 활용한 저혼탁 scrub/흡입(suction)방식의 수륙양용형 퇴적토 준설장치를 개발하였다. 현장적용 검증을 통해, 저수위와 고수위에서 저혼탁 scrub/흡입 준설장치를 이용해 준설 중 수체 내 부유물질(SS)과 탁도(turbidity)의 증가는 매우 미미하며(p>0.05), 일부 부유물질로 인해 발생한 탁도도 준설 후 20분 이내에 빠르게 안정화되는 것으로 조사되었다. 총질소(TN)와 총인(TP)의 농도도 준설 전, 준설 중과 준설 후에 농도 변화가 시간대별 및 수심별로 통계학적으로 유의한 의미는 없는 것으로 조사되어(p>0.05), scrub/흡입 준설을 통해 호수 저면에 축적된 영양염류가 확산되어 수체오염을 유발하지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 저혼탁 scrub/흡입 준설장치의 직접 준설을 통한 오염물질 제거량이 수처리시설의 운영을 통한 오염물질 제거량 대비 높은 것으로 산정되어, 수처리시설과 저혼탁 scrub/흡입 준설의 연계 적용이 도시물순환시스템의 수질관리에 효율적인 것으로 평가되었다. 최근에는 GPS 기반 실시간 scrub/흡입 준설장치의 추적 및 유지관리 프로그램을 개발해 등록하고 다양한 도시물순환시스템에 현장 적용하였으며, 추가적으로 준설장치 운전자를 보조 또는 제한된 환경에서 스스로 운전하는 협력형 주행시스템(driver cooperative autonomous driving system)의 개발을 현재 진행 중이다.

  • Turbulent flows in a intake part of vacuum cleaner are studied by RANS simulations. The governing equations are solved by the SIMPLE algorithm based on the finite volume method of the unstructured grid system. The predicted results show that the suction performance is closely related to the variation of flow structure in the intake part. In order to investigate for the cleaning of bedclothes and carpet without sticking, several design changes are applied. The introduction of a solid cylinder in the intake part changes vortical structures significantly. Based on this result, a new design with spiral brushes is proposed. The design shows a good behavior for the suction performance and the flow control.

  • This paper dealt with numerical estimation of pressure pulsation of the refrigerant in a suction pipe of the compressor. To evaluate the effect of reduction of pressure pulsation, a pipe system with tube was simulated using F.S.I.(Fluid-structure interaction) analysis. A commercial program was used for calculating behavior of pressure. The numerical simulation for pressure ratio of before and after going though internal structure were carried out. As a result, it was verified that the pressure after passing structure is less than the pressure before passing internal structure depending on the longitudinal frequency of structure.

  • This study presents the development of predictive models for uplift capacity of suction caisson in clay using an artificial intelligence technique, extreme learning machine (ELM). Other artificial intelligence models like artificial neural network (ANN), support vector machine (SVM), relevance vector machine (RVM) models are also developed to compare the ELM model with above models and available numerical models in terms of different statistical criteria. A ranking system is presented to evaluate present models in identifying the 'best' model. Sensitivity analyses are made to identify important inputs contributing to the developed models.

  • The heat (mass) transfer characteristics on the blade surface of a first-stage turbine rotor cascade has been investigated by employing the naphthalene sublimation technique. A four-axis profile measurement system is employed for the measurements of the local heat (mass) transfer coefficient on the curved blade surface. The experiments are carried out for two free-stream turbulence intensities of 1.2% and 14.7%. The high free-stream turbulence results in more uniform distributions of heat load on the both pressure and suction surfaces and in an early boundary-layer separation on the suction surface. The heat (mass) transfer enhancement on the suction surface due to the endwall vortices is found to be relatively small under the high free-stream turbulence.

  • In this paper, the gas dynamic effects of the suction pipe systems which have resinators are investigated on the volumetric efficiency are theoretically investigated by the engine performance simulation program which has been already developed. As the results, the optimum design method of the suction pipe system which has the overall high the flat characteristic curve of volumetric efficiency is developed in case of one cylinder engine.
