  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the bioethical subjectivity of nursing students with experience volunteering in elderly care facilities, and the characteristics that comprise the types thereof. Methods: Q methodology, which analyzes the subjectivity of each type, was used. The 37 selected Q statements from 32 participants were classified into the shape of a normal distribution using a 9-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using the PC-QUANL program. Results: The survey revealed that the bioethical subjectivity of nursing students with experience volunteering in elderly care facilities can be divided into three types: a rational dignity emphasis, an autonomous right to life belief, and conflict avoidance. All three attitudes regard human beings as possessing dignity, and life and death as elements to be experienced as aspects of human life. Bioethical values are critical to treatment and care; however, it is sometimes also held that humans have the right to commit suicide. Conclusion: This study enhanced our awareness of nursing students' bioethics. The findings can be used as a basis for the design of differentiated bioethics education according to each type of bioethical subjectivity. This calls for diverse research on bioethics and the implementation of effective bioethics education.

자살시도자에 대한 간호대학생의 주관성 연구 (A Study of Subjectivity among Nursing Students Regarding Suicide Attempters)

  • Purpose: To identify the types and characteristics of subjective structures among nursing students toward individuals who attempt suicide. Methods: A group of 32 third- and fourth-year nursing students with experience in clinical practice rated 35 Q-statements on a nine-point scale according to their opinion. Data analysis was conducted using the PC-Quanl program. Results: Subjectivity among nursing students toward individuals who attempt suicide was analyzed for three types. Type 1 (social responsibility emphasis) subjectivity recognizes the social responsibility for suicide attempts and emphasizes the importance of social support systems as a preventive effort. Type 2 (rational reprimand) subjectivity emphasizes the willpower and effort to overcome challenges in life, because happiness and unhappiness are dependent on one's thoughts and will. Type 3 (situation acceptance) subjectivity regards the suicide attempt as an optional means to avoid a deeply strenuous, painful, and difficult situation. Conclusion: This study investigated the subjectivity of nursing students toward individuals who attempt suicide and to provide a better understanding of them. In addition, the development of training programs that take advantage of the subjective characteristics of individuals based on subjectivity types demonstrated in this study is expected to provide nursing students with useful educational materials for their future careers as nurses.

대학생의 성적 자율성, 성적 자기주장, 성 주체성이 성 행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sexual Autonomy, Sexual Assertiveness, Sexual Subjectivity on Sexual Behaviors among University Students)

  • The purpose of this study examined the effects of sexual autonomy, sexual assertiveness, sexual subjectivity on sexual behavior among university students. The data was collected from 226 university students and analyzed with t-test and multiple regression using SPSS 21.0 program. The significant factors influencing sexual behavior were sexual attitude, sexual assertiveness, sexual autonomy and sexual subjectivity. And these factors explained 35.7% of the variance in sexual behavior. In conclusion, the results from this study indicated a need to develop the sex education program to improve sexual health among university students.

초등학교 소프트웨어 교육에서 에듀테인먼트 특성에 대한 주관성 유형 탐색 (An Inquiry on the Types of Subjectivity on Edutainment Features of Software Education in Elementary School)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 소프트웨어교육에 나타나는 에듀테인먼트 특성을 Q방법론을 활용하여 학습자의 주관성에 따라 유형화하고 각각의 특성을 알아보는 데 있다. 연구를 통해 '구현-지향형', '지적재미-지향형', '관계-지향형' 세 가지로 유형화하였으며 각 유형별 특성을 분석하였다. 구현-지향형의 학습자는 본인이 생각한 것을 직접 구현해 보는 것에서 에듀테인먼트적 긍정성을 보였으며, 지적재미-지향형의 학습자는 주어진 개별적 문제 상황을 지적으로 해결하는 것에서 에듀테인먼트적으로 가장 긍정적이었고, 관계-지향형 학습자의 경우에는 본인에 대해 다른 사람의 관심을 유발하는 수업에 대해서 에듀테인먼트적인 긍정성을 보였다. 이 같은 결과는 소프트웨어교육을 하는 데 있어서 학습자의 주관성을 고려한 에듀테인먼트 콘텐츠 개발 및 교수-학습 방법을 적용하여 학습자에게 최적의 교육 환경을 제공하는 데 중요한 지침을 제공하고, 또한 소프트웨어교육 및 에듀테인먼트 연구의 이론적 확장에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

청소년이 지각하는 경제적 어려움이 성매매태도에 미치는 영향 - 성평등의식과 성주체성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Moderating Effects of the Perceived Economical Difficulty on the Adolescents' Attitude to Prostitution: Focused on Gender Equality Consciousness and Sexual Subjectivity)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find the influences of the perceived economical difficulty, gender equality consciousness and sexual subjectivity on the adolescents' attitude to prostitution to examine the moderating effects of gender equality consciousness and sexual subjectivity between the perceived economical difficulty and the adolescents' attitude to prostitution, and to provide some recommendations for intervention to improve more appropriate attitude of adolescents on prostitution. Methods: The data used for this study is from the survey with a sample of 1,151 students from 14 middle and high schools in Chungbuk province. Results: The main results of this study are as follows: First, there are statistical differences in the adolescents' attitude to prostitution according to gender, grade, and the type of school. Second, there is a positive effect of the perceived economical difficulty, gender equality consciousness and sexual subjectivity on the adolescents' attitude to prostitution. Third, there are positive moderating effects of sexual subjectivity between the perceived economical difficulty and the adolescents' attitude to prostitution. Conclusions: Intervening in the sex education at an early stage, advertising prostitution's harmful effect at the level of a social concern and developing diverse programs to enhance the sexual subjectivity of students are recommended to promote appropriate attitude of adolescents about prostitution.

Walker와 Avant 방법에 근거한 여성의 성 주체성 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Female Sexual Subjectivity based on Walker and Avant's Method)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to clarify attributes, antecedents, and consequences of female sexual subjectivity. Methods: Walker and Avant's concept analysis process was used to analyze 27 studies from the current literature that relates to female sexual subjectivity. A systematic literature review of women's study in sociology, psychology, theology, law, health science, and nursing was reviewed. Results: The defining attributes of female sexual subjectivity were sexual self-awareness, sexual decision making, sexual desire, and good sexual communication with partner. The antecedents of female sexual subjectivity were social environment, sexual education, sexual experience, and interpersonal relationship. The consequences of female sexual subjectivity were safe sex, prevention of sexual victimization, and sexual satisfaction. Conclusion: Female sexual subjectivity is defined as sexual self-awareness, sexual decision making, sexual desire to seek sexual pleasure and safety, and effective communication with partner in terms of sexual behavior, sexual experience and sexual health. Based on these results, a scale measuring female sexual subjectivity is needed.

A study on the subjectivity of college students' participation in media education

  • The aim of this study is to investigate college students' opinion on participation in media education. The research question is as follows: first, what is the college students' perceptions who participated in media education? Second, what are the differences among the perceptions of college students who participated in media education? To answer these research questions, we used Q-methodology, which is more useful in organizing subjectivity types and opinions of students, both in explaining and sorting of data by characteristic and personal opinion. As a result, two types were found; type 1 is the active participation type that focuses on the active participation in media education as a productive tool and teaching method, as well as diminishing the current controls and restrictions on its use in education. On the other hand, type 2 is the growing adaptive type and is positive for the future development of media education in a transitional role, while they think that current media education for college students is not qualitative yet, a productive tool and the quality of the information message is lacking, and so on.

  • 본 연구는 이공계 분야 대학생의 우울을 어떻게 하면 행복감을 느끼도록 도와줄 수 있는지를 주체성-관계성이라는 매개변인을 활용하여 모형검증을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 대학생 78명을 대상으로 하였다. 이들의 이공계분야 직장인의 학력수준은 전문대 수준 이상이었다. 이들의 연령은 21세~38세이었다. 측정도구로는 우울 경험 질문지(Depressive Experiences Questionnaire)와 나의식, 우리의식 척도 및 행복감 척도를 사용하였다. 본 연구문제는 3개로 연구문제 1. 주체성-관계성이 우울과 행복감 사이에서 매개역할을 하는가? 연구문제 2. 주체성이 우울과 행복감 사이에서 매개역할을 하는가? 연구문제 3. 관계성이 우울과 행복감 사이에서 매개역할을 하는가?를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구결과 주체성-관계성뿐만 아니라 주체성, 관계성 각각도 우울과 행복감 사이에서 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구는 주체성과 관계성이 나의식-우리의식, 자아정체감 및 대인관계능력과 어떤 관련을 맺고 있는지 알아봄으로써 연구의 결과가 공학계 대학생 및 직장인들의 대인관계능력 개선 활동에 활용되도록 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구 대상의 연령층은 10대에서 60대까지였으며, 직업은 공학계 대학생과 공학계 직장인 492명을 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 본 연구에서는 첫째, 주체성은 나의식과 자아정체감과 어떤 관계가 있는가? 둘째, 관계성은 우리의식과 대인관계능력과 어떤 관계가 있는가? 검증하는 것을 연구문제로 삼았다. 분석방법은 주체성과 나의식, 주체성과 자아정체감, 그리고 관계성과 우리의식, 관계성과 자아정체감 간의 어떤 관련이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 주체성은 나의식과 자아정체감과 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 관계성은 우리의식, 대인관계와 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

대학생의 죽음에 대한 주관성 연구 (Subjectivity toward Death among College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the subjectivity type toward death among college students and to understand the characteristics of attitudes and orientations toward death of each type. Since attitudes and orientations toward death is very subjective and unique, Q-methodology was employed in this study. Q-methodology explains the respondent's subjectivity by objectifying his subjectivity for himself. The P-sample consisted of 63 students of K university in D city. Forty statements concerning attitudes and orientations toward death, which developed by Yeun(1999) were utilized for Q-sample. Forty Q-statements were sorted according to the level of agreement or disagreement by forced normal distribution. The Q-sorts by each subjects were coded and analysed with the PC-QUANL program. Five types of subjectivity toward death were identified and labeled. Type 1 'the death- preparation' think frequently about his own death and talk openly about the problem of death with a positive attitude. Type 2 'the life-esteemed' respect the dignity of life most of all. Type 3 'the realty-oriented' do not believe the afterlife and is very concerned about the present life itself instead of thinking about death. Type 4 'the ambivalent' think importantly the aspect of present life and orient the afterlife at the same time. This type reveals opposite attitude of preparing and scaring the death at the same time. Type 5 'the destiny-recipient' attribute death to the destiny and deny suicide. On the basis of this result, the studies about applying and developing educational program on death and hospice care for nurses who care terminal cancer patients and families are needed.
