Perception of Sex Life and Sexual Desire Coping Behavior according to General Characteristics among the Spouseless Aged (무배우자 노인의 일반적 특성에 따른 성생활 인식과 성 욕구 대처행동)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify factors affecting the perception of sex life and sexual desire coping behavior among the spouseless elderly. Methods: The participants were 149 elders who resided in six administrative regions of B city. Data were collected from December 1, 2012 to March 3, 2013 using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Stepwise multiple regression in a PASW 18.0 program. Results: Stepwise multiple regression analysis of data indicated that the most likely predictor is gender. Gender, sexual relation, subjective health status and parent-child relationship explained 34% of the variance of perception of sex life. Gender, dating status and age explained 44% of the variance of sexual desire coping behavior. Conclusion: Based on the study findings, gender and current dating status should be considered to conduct comprehensive sex health care education for healthy sex life of the elderly with no spouse.

A Study of the Perception Annoyance and Loudness according to Exposition Time for the Traffic Noise (도심교통소음의 노출시간에 대한 불쾌도 및 소음크기 감각량 변화 고찰)

  • This article on environmental noise qualify is concerned with the relationships between the annoyance and perception and sound quality metrics according to exposition time for traffic noise. For invested the characteristics of noise quality, we conducted to the subjective experiments of the annoyance response using the absolute 100 scaling method for the traffic noise sources. The traffic noise sources are composed to varieties exposition time from 15sec to 1200sec. As the results, the first there are decreased the perception loud level for the increase of exposition time with logarithm scale, but increased the annoyance. Second, evaluation index of annoyance is correlated to the loudness(sones), tonality and logarithm scale time with R2=0.83. Also, the composition ratio of traffic noise according to exposition time has the change of range as the logarithm scale ($30{\sim}50%$), tonality($27{\sim}37%$) and loudness($34{\sim}20%$).

  • I think it would be better to rewrite the Korean abstract. To analyze the personal characteristics of the participants and identify their perception of violence using the Q methodology, the scores of 20 parenting parents on 25 Q cards were statistically analyzed using forced normal distribution. There are three factors and from the most agreeable to the most disagreeable statements, they have shown their perception of violence. It was helpful in identifying parents' subjective perceptions and types of child abuse, and it suggested the need to define child abuse so that parents can have a correct perception of child abuse, rather than an abstract perception. In this perspective, the results of this study provide preliminary data for improving the recognition of parenting parents on child abuse.

  • Mobile phone is necessary articles by increasing mobile communication now. People usually use the Mobile phone in any time and place. Ring tone of Mobile phone effect owner or other person. The sound level of Mobile phone ring tone could be considered as noise if it is too loud a specific situation. Manufacturing company improve ring tone of mobile phone better in consumer's perception. In this study, we record ring tone of mobile phone and estimated the complexity and nonlinear characteristics of the relation between subjective evaluation and sound metrics.   • To analyze a room reverberation, many objective parameters have been suggested as measures of subjective perception in concert hall acoustics. However, it is difficult to understand the relationship among the individual parameters and to have a whole image of them. In this paper five primary objective parameters were selected and a reverberation model based on them was established by the reverberation decay curve. The proposed model was interpreted geometrically in terms of subjective characteristics. And finally we discuss the usefulness and the limitation of the model when it is applied to the analysis and.

  • Floor impact noise has been evaluated by investigating the temporal and spectral characteristics of the noise. The noises generated by different impactors were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with the factors of ACF /IACF (Autocorrelation Function/Inter-aural Cross-correlation Function) [1] and Zwicker parameters [2]. Experiments were undertaken to compare the objective and subjective parameters of the floor impact noises generated by a bang/tapping machine, a rubber ball [3], and a walker. As a result, it was found that $\phi$ (0) and IACC extracted from ACF/IACF, and Loudness, Unbiased Annoyance from Zwicker parameters showed high correlation with subjective evaluations of loudness concerning floor impact noises. In addition, it was revealed that jumping is similar to the ball.

  • This study is to grasp fundamental data to prepare the policy about death with dignity(DwD) by grasping perception type of the middle-aged about DwD. 32 middle-ages test Q-sort with 30 statements which is related to DwD. The result of analysis shows that subjective perception types are permission type, opposition type, and limited permission type. First, 'permission type' indicates that DwD by self-determination of patients should be accepted; it is necessary to patients with extreme pain. Second, 'opposition type' insists that there will be more people dying unfairly; a trend to make light of human life could be in everywhere if DwD is permitted. Third, 'limited permission type' agrees with permitting DwD but insists on preparing specific legal system before that. The subject, DwD, itself seems not to be able to draw a complete agreement from people, but national opinions should be reflected during the process of DwD system.

Gender Difference of Self-health Image and Actual Wearing Conditions in University Students (성별에 따른 대학생의 자기 건강 이미지와 착의 실태 차이)

  • This study suggests basic data on optimum thermal insulation for spring wear through an investigation of subjective thermal sensation, self-health image and actual wearing conditions. A survey of university students using a self-administered questionnaire was conducted to collect data on subjective thermal sensation, self-health image, wearing conditions, demographics and physical characteristics. The variable of wearing conditions was measured as the response to the clothing they were wearing. Garment items (26 types for males and 41 types for females) were suggested and the items worn by the students were converted into the thermal insulation values for clothing. The main results are as follows. As for the body type perception, males perceived themselves as not fat while females perceived themselves as not thin. As for the health perception, males perceived themselves healthier than females. As for the climate adaptability perception, females were more sensitive to cold than males. The average thermal insulation of clothing was 0.97clo (0.34-1.95clo) with higher insulation for males than females. Students were more sensitive to the cold when their BMI was lower, their body surface area per body weight was larger, and the more they perceived themselves as not healthy. There was a significant correlation between the self-health image of sensitiveness to cold and the thermal insulation of clothing. The results were synthetically discussed in terms of environmental physiology.

  • conducted. In-situ measurements were conducted to investigate the noise characteristics in high-speed trains such as KTX and KTX-Sancheon. Binaural microphones and spherical microphone were adopted to record and evaluate the spectral characteristics and noise incidence characteristics at the seats in the passenger cars. Environmental elements were also recorded during the noise measurements using a camcorder and GPS application. In addition, auditory tests were conducted to investigate annoyance of interior noise of high-speed trains. Based on the objective measure and subjective responses on interior noise, statistical analysis such as correlation and regression analyses were carried out. From the results perception models for evaluating the interior noise of high-speed train were derived.

A Psychophysical Approach to the Evaluation of Perceived Focusing Quality of CRT Displays

  • In this study, we collected data used to formulate the relationship between quantitative metrological parameters in CRT display and the perceived focus quality. Human perception of the focusing quality was evaluated in terms of user feedback scores regarding the character legibility from four highly trained inspectors. Thirteen CRT monitors from five different manufacturers were compared relatively with respect to the norm monitor. The profile of electron beam such as spot size and the shape of distribution made by electron beam, contrast, convergence of RGB beams, and luminance characteristics were measured using a precision measurement system. Linear regression analysis and artificial neural network models were used to formulate the relationship between human perception and the quantitative measurements. The accuracy of the formulated linear regression model ($R^2$=0.515) was not satisfactory but the nonlinear neural network model ($R^2$=0.716) was fairly convincing and robust even the utilized data included subjective differences.
