환경교육 교사 양성 대학의 교육과정 현황 및 개선 방향 (The Current Situation and the Direction for Improvement of the Curriculum on Environmental Education Teacher Training Universities)

  • The purpose of this study is to formulate the direction lot improvement of the curriculum on environmental education teacher training. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the nature of the courses related to subject matter education should be changed from the course of teaching profession into the course of special study, Second, the combination of the courses related to environmental education and environmental science is needed, Third, the curriculum should sufficiently include the contents of the 7th curriculum, Fourth, the curriculum should contain the courses of environmental science which can help the pre-service teachers to understand the fundamentals and concepts of ecology, This curriculum should also include the courses which can improve the pre-service teacher's ability to teach for the development of student's affirmative environmental value and attitude, Fifth, the curriculum should include the courses which are useful for the pre-service teachers to learn teaching method such as case study and simulation for the education of environmental knowledge and of cognitive domain about environmental issues. Sixth, the curriculum should reflect the contents of the regulation for teacher certificate which was renewed in Jan. of 2000.

Designing Online Public Education Contents in Korean Medicine Using the Rapid-Prototyping Instructional Systems Design Model

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to design Korean-themed online public education content in Korean medicine using rapid prototyping instructional systems design (RPISD). This study presents cases of developing and converting face-to-face general education programs designed to increase the interest in and understanding of Korean medicine for the public into online programs within a short timeframe. Methods: This qualitative study is design and development research, which used the RPISD model to analyze the available resources utilized in the rapid development of public educational content and propose systematization and optimization measures by analyzing the needs of clients, learners, and the environment. The <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was developed according to the model procedure, which involved needs analysis, development of course materials and manuscript, and storyboard creation and its filming and editing. Usability tests were conducted at all stages, and the opinions of clients, instructors, experts, and instructional designers were accommodated and reflected at each stage. Results: Using the rapid prototyping model, <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was organized into five classes of 20 minutes each. Each class was developed in Korean and included English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles in addition to Korean under the cooperative instructional design among clients, subject-matter experts, instructional designer and learners. Conclusion: The cooperative instructional design of stakeholders is significant in developing Korean medicine public education content online through extensive interaction and feedback from stakeholders in the early stage of educational content development.

물질의 성질 및 물질의 변화 영역에서 중학생들의 학업성취 특성 분석 : 2009 개정 교육과정 시기 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 결과를 중심으로 (Analysis on the Characteristics of Academic Achievement About 'properties of matter' and 'change of matter': Focusing on the Results of the National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA) in the 2009 Revised Curriculum)

  • 화학은 물질의 성질, 변화, 구조에 대해 다루는 교과로, 관찰 가능한 성질과 변화를 미시적인 수준으로 설명하고, 이를 이론과 법칙 등으로 설명하는 체계를 갖는다. 국가수준 교육과정에서는 물질의 성질과 변화에 대해 초등학교부터 고등학교에 이르기까지 연속적으로 다루면서, 학생들이 물질에 대한 이해를 심화시킬 수 있도록 내용을 구성하고 있다. 즉, 물질의 성질과 변화에 대한 이해는 화학의 관점에서 우리 주변을 설명하기 위한 기반이 되며, 이 둘은 2015 개정 과학과 교육과정에서 화학 교과의 영역으로 분류된다. 본 연구에서는 국가수준 학업성취도 평가의 결과를 분석하여 중학생들의 물질의 성질과 물질의 변화 영역에 대한 이해를 확인하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적에서 본 연구에서는 2015년부터 2019년까지 출제된 물질의 성질에 대한 12개 문항, 물질의 변화에 대한 19개 문항을 분석하였다. 핵심 개념에 따라 문항들을 분류하여 분석한 결과에 따르면, 두 영역에 대한 이해는 보통학력과 기초학력에 해당하는 학생들에게서 큰 폭으로 변화하고 있었다. 입자의 관점을 사용하고 과학 개념과 모형을 연관시켜 현상을 설명하거나, 이 두 영역에서 다루는 탐구에 대해 이해하는 것이 성취수준에 따라 차이가 있었다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 물질의 성질과 물질의 변화 영역에 대해 교수학습 과정에서 개선이 필요한 사항들을 논의하였다.

  • In this paper we consider the equality sign as a mathematical concept and investigate its meaning, errors made by students, and subject matter knowledge of mathematics teacher in view of The Model of Mathematic al Concept Analysis, arithmetic-algebraic thinking, and some examples. The equality sign = is a symbol most frequently used in school mathematics. But its meanings vary accor ding to situations where it is used, say, objects placed on both sides, and involve not only ordinary meanings but also mathematical ideas. The Model of Mathematical Concept Analysis in school mathematics consists of Ordinary meaning, Mathematical idea, Representation, and their relationships. To understand a mathematical concept means to understand its ordinary meanings, mathematical ideas immanent in it, its various representations, and their relationships. Like other concepts in school mathematics, the equality sign should be also understood and analysed in vie w of a mathematical concept.

중국의 해상교통안전법 (The Maritime Traffic Safety Law of P.R. China)

  • The Maritime Traffic Safety Law of P. R. China has not the legal nature of navigation rule which regulates the vessel traffic directly but has the legal nature of management to ensure the safety and good order of the whale marine traffic. For that reason, the legal status of this Law is a general basic norm for the marine safety regulations rather than a definite enforcement regulation. This Law does not have any clear statements on adaptation of the steering and sailing rules of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, but it can be presumed the Convention would be applied on the viewpoint of the international practice. The subject matter of this Law is easily understandable, because the IMO and shipping countries have already made similar legislation. Since the maritime traffic condition of the P. R. China also has a direct effect upon the Korean coastal waters, it is essential to observe closely the process of enforcement and development of the P. R. China's Maritime Traffic Safety Law.

Case Studies of Preservice Teachers' Conceptual Ecologies

  • This qualitative study investigated two preservice teachers' conceptual ecologies in professional development during the science teacher preparation program. The notion of a conceptual ecology contains nature of knowledge, science and science teaching, learning, and content knowledge and comfort level. The data were collected during the participants' preservice year and their practicum experience. Both data collections and analyzing were from the various sources of interviews, teaching observations, journals, and information and profiles by the participants' supervisor. Two preservice teachers serve as cases representative of this study. Results show that problems preventing the preservice teachers from moving closer to conceptual change teaching were their understandings of the nature of science and the nature of knowledge. The preservice teachers' views about knowledge come from, and what knowledge is, are largely shaped by the nature of science and learning drive pedagogy and classroom practice. Knowledge of and comfort with the subject matter are also important.

  • The aim of this study was to analyze characteristics of teachers' knowledge about reductio ad absurdum. In order to achieve the aim, this study conducted didactical analysis about reductio ad absurdum through examining previous researches and developed a questionnaire with reference to the results of the analysis. The questionnaire was given to 34 high school teachers and qualitative methods were used to analyze the data obtained from the written responses by the participants. This study also elaborated the framework descriptors for interpreting the teachers' responses in the light of the didactical analysis and the data was elucidated in terms of this framework. The specific features of teachers' knowledge about reductio ad absurdum were categorized into five types as a result. This study raised several implications for teachers' professional development for effective mathematics instruction related to reductio ad absurdum.

  • 창의적 문제 해결 능력을 컴퓨터 교육을 통해 이루려면 기존 컴퓨터 교육에 창의성과 문제해결력의 요소가 첨가되어야 한다. 또한, 학생들의 수준과 흥미를 고려하기 위해 어려운 컴퓨터에 관한 개념이나 원리를 다양한 교수학습 방법을 개발 활용하여 학생들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 노력이 필요하다. 아무리 좋은 교육이라 해도 학생들이 흥미와 관심을 갖고 학습을 하지 못하면 원하는 효과를 얻지 못할 것이다. 그러므로 컴퓨터 원리를 학생들이 이해하기 쉽도록 학생들이 좋아하는 게임 형식으로 개발하여 학생들이 직접 활동을 통해 자연스럽게 원리를 이해하고, 창의적인 사고력과 문제해결력을 증진시킬 수 있는 '컴퓨터 원리를 소재로 한 놀이'를 개발하고자 한다.

  • Information science is the study how in formation is transferred and all the intermediate steps of collecting, organizing, interpreting, storing, retrieving, disseminating and trans foming information. Professional education means the transfer of knowledge, the development of cognitive abilities and the infusion of professional attitudes. Training may be defined as practice-based instruction in the development and use of professional skills. Each is affected by the confluence of social, economic and technological realities of the environment where the learning takes place. We have witnessed controversy about methods of curriculum revision and change. Should information science courses be added to the traditional library science curriculum or should the new approaches be integrated within the subject matter of each individual course? The article is based upon the assumption that education for librarianship is at a turning point. To provide this information, 25 curricula of colleges and universities were analysed to assist in the study. Also 32 information professionals were asked to assist in the study. In the experimental part of this study, curricula based on the education and training of library and information profession als were examined. The most frequently offered compulsory course 'Introduction to Information Science' exposes students to a new way of looking at library and information problems. Information retrieval, library automation, computer programming, data processing, indexing and abstraction, communication, system analysis has offered. These indicate a curriculum slowly shift from traditional librarianship to an emphasis on computerization and automation. Also from a questionnaire listing 58 events might influence library and information science education.

중학교 기술${\cdot}$가정 교과의 '청소년의 이해' 단원 내용에 대한 학생의 흥미도와 유용성 인식 (Middle School Student's Educational Interest and Perception of Usefulness on the Contents of the Unit of 'Understanding of Adolescents' in Technology.Home Economics Textbook)

  • 본 연구는 중학교 1학년 기술 가정 교과의 '청소년의 이해' 대단원에 속한 소단원별 하위 주제의 교과 내용에 대한 남녀 학생들의 흥미도와 유용성 인식을 파악하고 이들 간의 관계를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기, 인천에 거주하는 중학교 1학년 남녀 학생 521명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 빈도분석, t-test, 일원분산분석, Pearson의 적률상관관계분석을 적용하여 자료를 분석하였다. '청소년의 이해' 대단원 내용에 대한 전반적인 흥미도와 유용성 인식 경향을 보면 가장 흥미도와 유용성 인식이 높은 소단원은 '청소년의 스트레스 관리'로 나타났다. 중학생의 '청소년의 이해' 대단원의 소단원별 하위내용에 대한 흥미도는 성별, 거주지역, 모의 연령, 부모 학력, 교과 선호도에 따라 차이가 나타났으며 유용성 인식은 성별, 거주지역, 모의 연령, 모의 학력, 교과 성적, 교과 선호도에 따라 차이가 나타났다. 소단원별 교과내용에 대한 흥미도와 유용성 인식과의 상관관계는 전반적으로 어느 소단원에 대해 흥미를 많이 가질 경우 그 해당 단원뿐만 아니라 해당 단원이 속해 있는 중단원 내의 다른 단원에 대하여도 유용성을 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다.
