This study was initiated to add value to fashion illustration as a genre of plastic art, as its importance as a progressive visual art is growing. The research purpose is to analyze characteristics of Grotesque, a subculture that emerged from the challenges and problems of groups which deviated from social and cultural trends, and to develop fashion design illustration utilizing the characteristics unique to that subculture. As a method of research, this study examined the characteristics and expression methods of Grotesque, which appeared in fashion literature, referenced a prior study of Grotesque, and developed fashion design illustration using Grotesque as a based. The result of this study are as follows. First, the characteristics of Grotesque that are applicable to fashion illustration were derived as 'evil, aversion, playfulness, heterogeneity, and abnormality'. Second, the expressive elements of Grotesques, reflecting the beauty of ugliness, present a methodology for developing new and creative fashion design illustrations. Third, it was found that Grotesque fashion illustration is a visual tool that is suitable for expressing the problematic origins of human existence, values, alienation, and social chaos. Fourth, 'arthropod' motifs were identified as a suitable theme for extracting the newly integrated Grotesque images through the process of contradiction and confrontation between humans and objects. Fifth, the Grotesque fashion illustrations could be understood in terms of plastic arts, and could provide a gateway to rediscovering human dignity. Based on the finding, we expect that creative design thinking and development that combines the motifs of various themes and Grotesque's expressive methods will proceed more deeply and specifically.

For the establishment of early selection of heat-tolerant clones through in vitro tuberization of true potato seeds, different temperature treatments for in vitro tuberization were investigated. The ratios of tuberization at 2$0^{\circ}C$ on var. Superior and DTO-33 treated with 5 mg/L of BAP and 500 mg/L of CCC, were 85% and 92%, respectively. At 3$0^{\circ}C$, the ratio of tuberization on DTO-33 was 37%, which revealed strongly heat-tolerant clone. In culture system of in vitro tuberization, the number of tubers per flask at 2$0^{\circ}C$ on non-subculture incubation was more than that on subculture incubation. The condition of non-subculture and short-day treatment for 4 weeks was good for production as 10.6 tubers per flask, which was very similar to that of long-day treatment. On the other hand, tuber diameter on long-day treatment was greater as 11.2 mm than on short-day treatment. Therefore, in vitro tuberization from true potato seeds could be induced under the condition of long-day treatment at darkness.

In this study, various conflicts in the maritime police organization were diagnosed and police subculture, which is different from dominant mainstream maritime police culture, was concluded to cause conflicts. In addition, maritime police conflicts and conflicts due to the balance, confrontation, and contradiction between bureaucratic and democratic values in the maritime police organization itself are discussed. The results of analysis on the effects of Maritime police subculture on organizational conflict are as follows: First, the influence of cynicism on functional conflict was explored. The higher the level of lies of the persons under investigation, the more functional conflict appeared. Also, if a person showed a low level of credibility among the police, this also led to functional conflict. In addition, if an individual showed low levels of cooperation and credibility with the police, this resulted in hierarchical conflict. Second, the influence of machismo on functional conflict was also explored. It was found that female officers experienced conflicts because of poorer job performance compared to male counterparts. In hierarchical issues, female officers experienced conflict over the reduced scope of tasks assigned to them and lower job performance ability. Third, the effect of non-acceptance of change in functional conflict was not statistically significant. An aggressive attitude toward crime control and rejecting jobs unrelated to crime influenced functional conflict, and an aggressive attitude and performing jobs unrelated to crime lead to functional conflict.

The purpose of this study was to analyze subculture of professional football supporters with a view of Bourdieu's Habitus theory. What sorts of mechanism were worked when supporters formed their Habitus. The methods adopted in the article was qualitative. The qualitative information on the nature of their fandom was gleaned from 'virtual participant observation' or 'interviewing' of professional football fans that participated in discussions on the internet and participant observation of professional fans. The intensity and criteria sampling method was used to select 6 supporters who had participated in the supporting activities for more than five years and played crucial roles in running their organization as officials. The textual analysis which is consisting of translation, coding, and processing was used to mean the identification and exegesis of contextualization cues that make a text meaningful to the professional football supporters. an intended audience. The findings of this study were that (1) the subculture variety of activities for players and coaching staffs were the fundamental factors when supporters formed their subculture. (2) the professional supporters became habitus through the progressively development of subcultures such as enthusiastic supporters, small meetings, and events relating to soccer players.

The gamma radiation-induced changes of antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) in callus cultures of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) selected as a high yield of cell line for SOD were investigated. In normal cultures, the cell growth reached a maximum at 30 days after subculture (DAS), followed by a rapid decrease with further cultures. The SOD and POD specific activities (units/mg protein) showed the highest at the immediately after subculture and subsequently decreased to 20 DAS, and then increased to 30 DAS, whereas the CAT activity showed the lowest at just after subculture, and it continuously increased from 15 DAS to 30 DAS, showing a good correlation with the cell growth. Irradiation of gamma-ray of 50 and 70 Gy on 7 DAS inhibited significantly the cell growth by 50% and 80% at 14 days after treatment (DAT), respectively. In the cells irradiated with 70 Gy, SOD and POD specific activities increased by 4 and 2.5 folds at 14 DAT, respectively, whereas CAT activity was not affected. The results indicate that SOD and POD may be involved in the antioxidative mechanism in relation to oxidative stresses induced by subcultures and by gamma radiation in callus cultures of cassava.

This study was designed to simplify a cryopreservation program for embryonic stem cells (ESCs) by selection of cooling method and cryoprotectant. Commercially available mouse E14 embryonic stem cells (ESCs) were cryopreserved with various protocols, and morphology and viability of the frozen-thawed ESCs and their reactive oxygen species (ROS) production were subsequently monitored. Post-thaw colony-formation of ESCs was detected only after a slow freezing using dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) by stepwise placement of a freezing container into a $-80^{\circ}C$ deep freezer and subsequently into -$196^{\circ}C$ liquid nitrogen, while no proliferation was detected after vitrification. When the simplified protocol was employed, the replacement of DMSO with a mixture of DMSO and ethylene glycol (EG) further improved the post-thaw survival. ROS generation in ESCs frozen-thawed with the optimized protocol was not increased compared with non-frozen ESCs. The use of fresh mouse embryonic fibroblasts as feeder cells for post-thaw subculture did not further increase post-thaw cell viability. In conclusion, a simplified slow-freezing program without employing programmable freezer but using DMSO and EG was developed which maintains cell viability and colony-forming activity of ESCs during post-thaw subculture.

Indeterminancy is one of the thought systems which explains all things with not 'either-or' but 'both-and' the conditions and qualities of human identities and inner state. A view of the world of Dionisos of Nietzsche's and the character of Manneristic trend which has resolved the sense of alienation of men by paradoxic expression has succeeded to romanticism surrealism and postmodernism. 1. Cross-dressing has increased under contemporary conditions. There also have been various cross-dressing phenomena in the past but it appears strongly now that it would destroy the cultural stereotypes and give rise to the cultural insecurities in contemporary conditions. 2. The indeterminancy of status that is wealth versus poverty impacts on variations of contemporary dress. This has been represented by neglecting traditional code which is related to wealth in costume by conversion of the symbols of wealth and poverty as disguise with moderation simplicity and additionally poverty image instead of ostentation. 3. In the cultural aspect that is mother culture/ subculture the author has investigated black street fashion which has newly become visible. The black street fashion is wide spread in black popular music such as jazz Rhythm & Blues Reggae and Rap which is subculture against white. The external values of indeterminancy in fashion are n대-manneristic tendencies as deformation eclectic friction and irrational structure and graffiti method. The inner values by indeterminant expression in fashion are irony and paradox grotesque satire and amusement.

T-shirt has changed into advanced and stylish outwear by new paradigm, taste of consumer, awareness of recycling, spread of subculture, DIY culture, refusal of standardization and pursuit of high quality goods, etc. The purpose of this study was to analyze aesthetic characteristics of t-shirt designs that changed into diverse designs in world fashion college since 2000. The method of this study was to analyze documentaries, fashion magazines and internet fashion site. Aesthetic characteristics of t-shirt designs were expressed in deconstruction, mixture, integration and imitation. And each of external expressions and internal meanings was as follows: First, deconstruction was expressed in partial cutwork and three dimensional texture by sewing and construction drape. It means breaking the conventional structure and break-ing the boundary of t-shirt and another item and possibility of multi-vocal analysis. Second, mixture was expressed in collage of diverse ornaments, diverse fabrics and diverse patterns. It means exceeding the limit of material, elaboratenes and high quality of handwork, reflection of self-identity, brand image, fashion trend, consumer's psychology and mind of experimentation and couture. Third, integration was expressed in extension of length, width, use and style. It means unification of functions, deconstruction of items and extension of meanings and images. Forth, imitation was expressed in stain of dye, irregular and ripped sign, cut out, rough warp, drawing and washing, etc. It means subculture, rarity value, monopolization, diversity, familiarity, yearning and uniqueness.

Haloxylon recurvum (Locally known as Khar) is drought and salt tolerant plant of Thar Desert. This plant is a major biomass producer and has economic and ecological importance for the region. There is need for study on biology, propagation and genetic improvement for utilization of this plant for reclamation of saline soils. We report here on in vitro propagation of Haloxylon recurvum (Moq.) using nodal explant. Secretion of phenolic compound from explants was a major constraint for establishment of culture. This was checked by thorough washing and quick transfer of explant on fresh culture medium. Juvenile nodal explant with leaves was found suitable for culture establishment. Benzy-ladenine($4.0\;{\mu}M$) incorporated in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with additives (50 mg/L ascorbic acid and 25 mg/L each of adenine sulphate, arginine and citric acid) induced multiple shoots from nodal explant. Addition of $1.0\;{\mu}M$ naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) in combination with $4.0\;{\mu}M$ BAP improved the growth of axillary shoots. Further shoot amplification was achieved by repeated subculture of mother explants on fresh medium. Forty percent of the micropropagated shoots rooted on half-strength MS medium with $4.0\;{\mu}M$ indolebutyric acid (IBA) and 100 mg/L activated charcoal, at $28{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ and $60\%$ RH. Sixty percent of these plantlets were hardened in green house.
