In this study, the seismic response characteristics of the three analysis model with or without TMD were investigated to find out the effective dome shape. The three analysis models are rib type, lattice type and geodesic type dome structure composed of space frame. The maximum vertical and horizontal displacements were evaluated at 1/4 point of the span by applying the resonance harmonic load and historical earthquake loads (El Centro, Kobe, Northridge earthquakes). The study of the effective TMD installation position for the dome structure shows that seismic response control was effective when eight TMDs were installed in all types of analysis model. The investigation of the efficiency of TMD according to dome shape presents that lattice dome and geodesic dome show excellent control performance, while rib dome shows different control performance depending on the historical seismic loads. Therefore, lattice and geodesic types are desirable for seismic response reduction using TMD compared to rib type.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify type of anger expression and mental health in middle aged women. Methods: From August to October 2005, survey data were collected by using the State Trait Anger Expression Inventory and Symptom Check List-90-Revision (SCL). Participants (1,442) were classified into four types of anger expression by K-mean cluster analysis. For collecting interview data for content analysis, 18 participants (4-5 participants from each type of anger expression) were recruited. The interview data were collected between March and September 2006. Results: The average score of the state anger of middle-aged women was 11.95, and that of the trait anger was 18.75. The average anger expression scores were 12.72 for Anger-In, 13.45 for Anger-Out, and 18.51 for Anger-Control. The average SCL scores were 45.03 for somatization, 42.23 for obsessive-compulsiveness, 42.44 for interpersonal sensitivity, 42.45 for depression, 42.40 for anxiety, 42.62 for hostility, 44.44 for phobic anxiety, 43.65 for paranoid ideation, and 43.08 for psychoticism. The anger expression types identified in this study were 1) anger-out in secret, 2) anger-control with a patience, 3) anger-out with suppression, and 4) low anger expression type. The psychosomatic symptom scores were the highest in type III (anger-out with suppression), and the lowest in type IV (low anger expression type). Conclusion: This study can be helpful in assisting middle aged women to control their anger effectively and may contribute to the improvement of their mental health.
The present study was conducted to analyze the type of appeal and constituent unit's expression of apparel advertising appeared in women's magazine through content analysis. The research questions raised for this study were: (1) Are there any differences in the type of appeal between outwear and uderwear, men's and women's outwear, and formal wear and casual wear advertising ? (2) Are there any differences in the type of appeal and constituent unit's expression of apparel advertising between the late of 1980's and the begining of 1990's ? "Women Sense", founded on August 1988, was used as research materials for the study. And the period of analysis was from September 1988 to March 1993. In order to reduce biases of monthly issues in magazine, the apparel advertisements for analysis were selected from March, June, September and December issues. A total of 348 apparel advertisements were analyzed. The data gethered were analyzed using the frequency table, percentage and chi-square test. The results were as follows: 1. The emotional appeal was used more often for apparel advertisements. 2. There was no difference in types of appeal between men's and women's outwear. Both of them frequently used emotional appeal type 3. Rational appeal and sex appeal type were used more frequently in underwear advertising than in outwear advertisements. 4. It was emotional appeal type that usually used in both formal and casual wear advertising, and sex appeal was employed more often in casual wear advertising than in formal wear advertising. 5. Romantic appeal was employed more aften in the late of 1980's than in the begining of 1990's. Sex appeal and rational appeal were used more often in the beginning of 1990's than in the late of 1980's. 6. Emotional (28.7%) and Assertion Propose Headlines (21.6%) were popular in the late of 1980's. 7. Brand Name Headline was shown most often in the begining of 1990's. 8. Emotional, Factual and Mixed Copies were generally used at all types of bodycopy. while there was no difference in types of bodycopy between the periods. 9. Direct Approach, that a model introduced advertising goods to consumer, was mainly used in illustration. There was no difference in different types of illustration between the periods.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychological characteristics of the Sasang constitutions by using Braverman nature assessment (BNA). Methods: One hundred seventy-four students participated in this study, and among them, the 142 individuals who had clearly identified Sasang constitutional types were used for the analysis. Sasang constitutions and the Braverman temperaments of the subjects were determined by using a questionnaire for the Sasang constitution classification (QSCC) II and BNA, respectively. Body mass index (BMI) was used to compare the inclinations of the Sasang constitutions and Braverman temperament types. Results: Significant differences in Braverman temperament type existed among the Sasang constitutions (P = 0.042), and the relations between Soyangin and the dopamine type and between Taeeumin and the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) type were meaningful. Significant differences were also shown in the comparison with the Yin and the Yang constitutions (P = 0.017), and the post-hoc analysis showed a strong and significant relation between the Yang constitution and the dopamine type and between the Yin constitution and the GABA type. The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the independent t-test were conducted to examine the BMI and the degree of obesity among the Sasang constitutions and the Braverman temperament types. Concerning the BMI, Taeeumin showed a bigger BMI than the other constitutions (P < 0.001), but no significant differences in the BMI were observed between the Braverman temperament types. Conclusion: Soyangin has a close relationship to the dopamine type and Taeeumin has a close relationship to the GABA type. The correlation between two types were more clear when the Yin and the Yang types were compared to Braverman temperaments. These results may serve as a basis for identifying the psychological traits of Sasang constitutional types, especially in regard to the characteristics related to the four Braverman temperament types.
The purpose of this study was to classify the upper torso body types of obese Korean adult women using the 7th Korea National Anthropometric Study data and compare the body type differences according to three age groups: 20s~30s, 40s~50s, and 60s. A total of 548 adult women whose BMI was in the obese range of 25 or higher and whose age ranged from 20s to 60s were selected from the anthropometric database. Twenty-nine body measurements related to torso and arm areas important for torso and sleeve pattern development were chosen. Five drop values by differences between bust, waist, and hip circumferences were also chosen for analysis. The number of obese women increased with age. The results revealed seven factors according to the factor analysis and three obese body types based on the cluster analysis. Body type 1 (47.3% of obese women) was characterized by narrow shoulders, a small or medium torso, and a straight waist. Body type 2 (42.4% of obese women) was characterized by a defined waist and a larger lower torso than upper torso. Body type 3 (10.3% of obese women), the largest obese body type among the three types, was characterized by a large bust, large abdomen area, and long upper torso. Women in their 20s to 30s were most likely to have body type 2, women in their 40s to 50s were evenly distributed between body types 2 and 3, and women in their 60s were most likely to have body type 1.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to compare initial implant stability measured by RFA between different implant systems during the initial healing period. Material and Methods: Fifty-four patients (36 males/18 females) who had been treated at the Department of Periodontology, Chonbuk National University Dental Hospital during the period between January and November in 2007 were included in the study. The mean age of the subjects was 49 years old (18 to 77). A total of 104 implants (Type A: 3i $Osseotite^{(R)}$, Type B: $Replace^{(R)}$ select, Type C: ITI implant) were placed following the manufacturer's standard surgical protocols. Implant stability quotient (ISQ) readings were obtained for each implant at the time of surgery, 2-, and 4-month postoperatively. Result: No implant was failed during the observation period. At the baseline, the difference between mean ISQ values of 3 implant systems was statistically significant (p<0.05). However, at 2-, and 4-month following implant surgery, no significant difference was observed between ISQ values of the implant systems. In the same implant, the ISQ values of Type B and C implants increased (p<0.05), but those of Type A implants decreased during the 2-month healing period. The mean ISQ values of Type B and C implants showed a increasing tendency, while those of Type A implants were stable for the 4-month follow-up period. Conclusion: Within limits of this study, it can be concluded that implant design and surface topography of implant might influence the ISQ value and changing pattern during the initial healing period.
Purpose: This study focused on analysing costs per visiting nursing care based on nursing activities in a public health center. Method: The Easley-Storfjell Instrument(1997) was used for a prospective descriptive analysis of self-records for workload data from 10 visiting nurses during 4 weeks on all nursing activities. In addition, analysis of the 478 visiting nursing records and cost data from 5 home visiting departments in public health centers during one year of 2003 was done. Result: The workload of visiting nurses by the type of model was identified as follows: Type I showed that caseloads made up 32.9 % of all nurse activities, and type II showed that the caseloads made up 45.8 %. Second, The cost per visit in type I was 33,088 won and 31,323 won in type II. Third, the estimated budgets were 1,902,436 won to 12,057,696 won for the type I model. and 4,151,316 won to 17,432,712 won for the type II model for one year. Conclusion: This study's results will contribute to baseline data used to establish on infrastructure for visiting nursing program and visiting nursing agencies based on the budget of visiting nursing services.
The aim of this study is to develop clothing size system according to each size interval for obese girls aged 10~12 by classifying the upper bodies. The criteria for subjects in this study were girls who had over 1.46 of the R$\ddot{o}$hrer Index. A total of 229 schoolgirls who met these criteria were enrolled. Results are as follows; 1st, 5 factors were extracted by factor analysis and 3 clusters were categorized by cluster analysis, cylinder-type, inverted triangle-type and inverted trapezoid-type. And 2nd, as a consequence of size system establishment, the basic body sizes and reference body sizes were different according to types even in commonly-appeared size names at sections of respective types. The research findings above suggest that it is necessary to figure out the obesity types according to height and bust girth sizes representing basic sizes and to design the patterns in consideration of the characteristics of obese body shapes. And it may be used as a basic data to decide the desirable output of production according to respective body types.
The damage of greenhouse has been increasing due to frequent collapse of frame in greenhouse caused by the heavy snow and strong wind. But, greenhouses are constructed by steel tube members of pipe style and pin connection of them, so these greenhouses are very weak. Therefore, this study was carried out to find the type of member section and structural frame system in stress tolerant greenhouses. The modeling types for analysis were designed in accordance with structural frame configuration and member section in greenhouse. These types of models, which are existing type, diagrid type, symmetric and asymmetric section type of frame member in greenhouse were classified. Displacement analysis varying the vertical and horizontal loads for a series of models was carried out. As a result of this paper, it was verified that the structural frame configuration of diagrid type and asymmetric type of member section is better than existing type in the frame of greenhouses against snow loads and wind loads.
