The third domain, 'psychological factors necessary for student success' is with 9 categories: 'learning ability', 'self-efficacy', 'interpersonal competence', 'self-awareness and improvement', 'job competency', 'self-regulation ability', 'rich experience', 'career awareness', and 'self-esteem'. This study investigates significant factors regarding college freshman engineering students and analyses each factors influence on student satisfaction in the College of Engineering core curriculum. We carried out a survey targeting 505 students who completed their fundamental education for major course learning in the 2011 academic year while attending one college in Gwangju and ruled out inadequate respondents. A total sample size 437 students were analyzed. The seven independent variables are academic fees, academic term period, academic environment of the classroom, learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity and student need for the program. The dependent variable is fundamental education satisfaction level. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the following factors were found to be significant in the following order: learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity, student need for the program, academic fees and academic environment of the classroom. On the other side academic term period was not significant. For improving fundamental education satisfaction, there is a need for prudent consideration regarding learning material development and lecture times. Also further investigation should take place for policies necessary for increasing learner motivation and sincerity, and expand appropriate conditions for learners to become self-aware of the education they need within their major.

This study analyzes the effect of quality of services provided to the students' in relation to their satisfaction and loyalty. Respondents in this study were seventh semester students of Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah, the total number of students was 312. Data analysis techniques in this study used was SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using the SmartPLS program. The results showed that students' satisfaction significantly mediated the correlation between academics and students' loyalty, between non-academic and students' loyalty, between reputation and students' loyalty, and between campus access and students' loyalty; on the other hand, students' satisfaction was not significant in mediating the correlation between program issues and students' loyalty. The findings suggest that it is necessary to improve the quality of lecturers to improve students' academic abilities and communication skills. As far as non-academic aspects are concerned, conducting training and development efforts and increasing awareness programs for administrative staff is important. For the reputation aspect, to carry out several marketing campaigns which predict to have an effect upon students in building positive perceptions of campus has to be executed as well. Meanwhile for access aspect, it should be made certain that every student can have direct access to staff employees, and it is necessary to improve dimensions which can increase students' satisfaction so that students are convinced of their choice of campus and then they are likely to recommend their chosen university and spread positive things about their institutions.
Given the substantial industrial and economic contributions of university start-ups, a growing number of studies have adopted the ecosystem perspectives to systematically explain creating start-ups in universities. Despite the huge theoretical potential, few studies have analyzed the complex, complimentary interactions of the core components in the university entrepreneurship ecosystems (UEEs). Addressing the limitation, this research not only discusses the role of the core ecosystem components, such as patents, entrepreneurship education, and student entrepreneurship clubs, but also analyzes their discrete and complimentary effects on the productivity of UEEs. Based on a national survey of universities, this study shows that all the core components have a positive effect on the ecosystem productivity. More importantly, this study investigated the complimentary relationships among components and tested the moderation effects of both the entrepreneurship education and the student clubs on the relationship between the patents and the productivity of UEEs. The analysis results show that the student clubs intensify the patents' positive effect on the productivity of UEEs. The research results could provide the crucial policy insights for the successful design of UEEs.
This study examines the relationship between second language use outside of class and oral proficiency development. It first identifies out-of-class activities of international graduate students in the U.S. and the average time spent speaking English in those out-of-class activities. Interviews and student self-measurements of time spent speaking English each day were used to investigate the types and quantities of out-of-class activities. In addition, two sets of student oral proficiency test scores were collected. Correlation analysis is used to find out the relationship of the variables between the most salient out-of-class activities and oral proficiency gains. The findings indicate that second language use outside of class is important for international graduate students to improve their oral proficiency. This is especially true with regularized interaction such as talking at work and the average time spent speaking in English a day outside of class. This study suggests that learners of English in an ESL environment should be encouraged to take part in out-of-class activities in addition to English use in the classroom in order for them to improve their oral proficiency.
