본 논문에서는 구조주의 기호학자인 바르트의 기호학적 이론에 근거하여, 기호학을 구성하는 요소들과 애니메이션 텍스트에 나타나는 기호학의 원리를 알아보았다. 이러한 접근은 고전 기호학의 도식적 분석에서 벗어나, 애니메이션이 대중에게 효과적으로 메시지를 전달하는 원리의 분석을 가능하게 한다. 또한 사회적 작용을 고려하지 않는 순수 미학의 맹목적 관점을 경계할 수 있다. 애니메이션 텍스트를 바르트의 구조주의 기호학적 관점에서 한마디로 표현하자면 "애니메이션 텍스트는 하나의 기호가 갖는 이중적인 역할"이다. 이는 "대중매체의 애니메이션은 사회를 개념화하고 의미화 하는 특별한 과정이다"라고 말할 수 있다. 다시 말하면 "지배질서가 자신을 자연적 질서로 여겨지도록 대중을 동화하는 과정"이라는 것이다.

Since 1960, the change of architectural trend was dominated by two factors ; the one, the introduction of theory of language (including semantic, syntactic, pragmatic, linguistic, semiotic, structuralism, post-structurism) in design concept, the other, the adaption of high technology in building construction. In particular, the theory of language played an important role in the emergence of new tendency, which could be the alternative of modern architecture. Post-modernism and Typology in the 1960-70s, Deconstructivism in the 1980s and 'Folding' architecture in the 1990s, have continually borrowed a theoretical base from the thee of language. Placing the focus on the relation of contemporary architecture and theory of language with the interdisciplinary view, this study comes to the conclusion that the diverse architectural tendencies since 1960 depend on the 'champ d'enonce', which Michel Foucault, French philosopher, defined in his . The writings of many architects, like Robert Venturi, Micheal Graves, Aldo Rossi, Peter Eisenman, Rem Koolhaas, Bernard Tschumi, Gerg Lynn demonstrate our conclusion. This is an important finding which make possible consistent understanding about contemporary architecture.

Although built-environment has not only function but also socio-cultural meanings, the latter is neglected in the modernism. People don't have the identity of their place because they can't communicate with environment. Therefore, expressing the socio-curtural meanings in landscape is one of main issues after the modern era. The meanings of phenomena can be analyzed by the Semiology based on Structurism, the methodology which has been developed in Linguistics and Anthropology since 1900's. The purpose of this study is to adapt Helmslev's model that can effectively explain the meanings of built-environment and interpret the Koreaness, one of important meanings in contemporary urban park, Paris park. The following methods are used for achieving the purpose. 1. Adaptation of the Helmslev's model for interpreting the urban park. 2. Interpretation of the Paris park. 3. Making the types of interpretion of Paris park. The results are as followings: 1. Helmslev's model can explain the content and expression of the urban park in denotation and connotation. 2. Th socio-cultural meanings of Paris park are the relationship of France, Yan and Yin theory, philosophy of Samjae, king's authority. And they are expressed in the pattern of paving, the shape of mounds, fountain, and pond, a picture of the wall, colours of lightings and columns, and a mark of bollards.
