  • In this experimental study,aluminum hotforging was conduct to get superior pistion to cast piston. Cast structure of billet is destroyed, harmful defects is removed by forging process. We proposed the direction od die design by observing formability of product according to die shape. The microstructure of forged products with different preform was investigated to determine inital billet shape. We proposed appropriate heat treatment condition for improvement of mechanical properties.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method for the improvement of linearizing and adaptive convergence charateristics of the feedforward linear power amplifier. In this circuit, errors at the signal cancellation stage can be compensated at the error cancellation stage and the overall linearizaton and adaptation characteristics of the linear amplifier are improved. The broadband characteristics and linearizing capability are improved without increasing the complexity of circuits and the signal processing structure.

  • In aerospace industry improvement of structural performance of flight structure without increasing weight has great advantage. In this study, an innovative design method to increase the buckling load and tension failure load at the same time without increasing the weight was investigated by using the curvilinear fiber format in composite plates with central hole. It was investigated how much gain can be obtained with curvilinear fiber format for the plates with different hole size and different stacking sequence.

  • In this paper, a study on the improvement of the IM speed response against load torque variation is presented. A VSCS(Variable Structure Control System) is proposed which gives the desired robustness against load torque variation using a new kind of time-varing switching plane. In order to eliminate the reaching phase of the states from one switching plane to another during variation, the switching plane is varied continuously. To verify the high dynamic performance of the proposed VSCS, simulation and experimental results are presented.

  • As the technique in urban transit is composite system which is composed of vehicle, power supply, signal and communication, rail structure etc, it is very difficult to search the cause of technical troubles. This paper describes the improvement on pending issues which is discussed in urban transit corporation's conference. The conference for discussion on technical issues will be held every year, and the result of conference will be opened.

  • Since the introduction of aspirin as a therapeutic agent in 1899, there have been numerous attempts at the improvement of its therapeutic value through molecular modification. These endeavors have centered mainly around the following two approaches : (a) improvement of the potency by introduction of a suitable group or groups on the benzene ring; and (b) modification of the carboxylic acid group, which is thought to be an immediate cause of the irritant effect.

  • In this study, it was studied on dielectric breakdown strength and thennostability properties due to the structure variation of matrix resin and treatment of coupling agent of epoxy insulating materials. The interpenetrating network structure was formed by simultaneous heating curing the epoxy resin with single network structure and the methacrylic acid resin. Also inner structure was observed and the glass transition temperature was measured on these three type specimens. Dielectric breakdown properties were investigated by applying DC, AC and impulse voltage. As a result, the glass transition temperature and the dielectric breakdown strength of specimen with interpenetrating network structure was more higher than another two type specimens.

  • There are many risks in constructing tunnel-structure. To prevent these risks from occurring and secure safety, the precise and rapid survey of inside displacement of the tunnel is required. But nowadays the measurement of the crown settlement, convergency, and surface settlement depends on general kinds of method which use total station or level. In the way to provide data about maintaining structure according to recent improvement and progress of measuring technology, 3D laser scanning is used. It solves the problem of reliability in measuring displacement of existing structure, provides material that enables to estimate shape change of structure visually, and makes it possible to deliberate speedy countermeasure. By this three dimensioning it is possible to make efficient use of structure maintenance and field measurement

  • In this study, in order to improve luminous efficacy of AC-PDP, the new facing discharge structure has been suggested. The suggested structure has tilted facing electrode. It shows lower discharge current, higher luminance and luminous efficacy compared with those of reference structure with coplanar electrode structure.

  • In this paper, we presents the characteristics of the new electrode structure in an AC Plasma Display Panel(PDP) that can generate dual mode discharges with a combination of short-gap and long-gap discharges. The experiment results show that the discharge voltage of the new electrode structure is mainly determined by short-gap discharge and the luminous efficiency is improved by 20% compared with the conventional electrode structure. The improvement of luminous efficiency is mainly caused by higher VUV generation and broader distribution from Ole ICCD camera measurements.
