공기업 CEO의 리더십이 경영혁신에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects on Management Innovation by Leadership of the Korea Public Enterprise CEO)

  • 본 연구의 연구목적은 공기업 CEO의 리더십과 경영혁신간의 영향관계를 알아보고 그 특성을 모색함으로써, 경영혁신을 보다 효율적으로 도입 추진방안을 알아보는데 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 수행하고자 2010년 1월 이전 경영혁신을 실시하였거나 추진 중인 21개 공기업의 조직구성원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 실증분석결과 공기업 CEO의 리더십스타일은 변혁적 리더십이 조직혁신과 인적혁신에 있어 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 가설검증결과에 의하면, 경영혁신이 효율적으로 수행되기 위해서는 CEO의 리더십이 변혁적 리더십스타일이어야 한다고 할 수 있다.

  • 21세기 지식기반 경제로의 전환이 가속화되면서 지식서비스산업의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 지식서비스산업이 국가경제 부가가치에서 차지하는 비중의 양적 확대를 넘어 생산성이 제고되려면, 혁신 노력이 수반되어야 한다. 이 연구는 지식서비스기업을 대상으로 혁신유형을 상품 공정 조직 마케팅으로 다원화하고, 혁신 지원정책 등 그 영향요인을 분석하였다. 이때 유형별 혁신을 매개변수로 하여 매출 고용 증가까지 연계되는 인과관계를 구조방정식을 통해 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 기업 혁신역량은 모든 유형별 혁신과 매출 고용 증가에 직 간접적으로 매우 강한 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 독과점 시장구조에서는 이를 극복하기 위해 혁신이 촉진되는 경향이 나타났다. 그러나, 정부의 혁신 지원정책은 공정 조직 마케팅 혁신에는 긍정적 영향을 미치지만, 상품혁신에는 부정적 영향을 나타냈으며, 매출 고용 증가에 미치는 총효과도 유의미하지 못한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 혁신은 궁극적으로 기업의 매출 고용 증가까지 귀결되어야 하며, 정부의 지원정책도 종착점까지의 이러한 인과구조를 고려하여 치밀하게 설계되어야 할 것이다.

중국 중소기업 재무구조가 혁신 효율성에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Chinese SMEs' Financial Structure on Innovation Efficiency)

  • 본 논문은 2010년부터 2020년까지 중국 중소기업협회에 등재된 중소기업의 패널 데이터를 연구 표본으로 하고, 계량경제학 모형을 이용하여 금융구조가 중소기업의 혁신효율성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 확률 변경 분석법(SFA)에 의해 측정된 중소기업의 혁신효율성을 측정하고, Tobit 모형으로 중소기업의 자금조달구조와 혁신효율성의 관계를 살펴보고, 이에 상응하는 이질성 분석을 하였다. 마지막으로, 모델의 견고성을 테스트하였다. 부채와 주식금융이 혁신의 양적 효율성에 미치는 영향은 비선형적이고, 주로 반전된 "U"자형 관계를 나타낸다는 결론이 나왔다. 혁신의 질적 효율성을 위한 채권재무는 긍정적으로 기여한 반면에 주식재무는 부정적으로 나타났다.

94 GHz Single-Balanced 믹서의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (94-GHz Single Balanced Mixer)

  • The high performance 94 GHz MMIC(Monolithic Micro-wave Integrated Circuit) single balanced mixer was designed and fabricated, using MHEMT structure based diodes and a CPW(Coplanar Waveguide) tandem coupler. A novel single-balanced structure of diode mixer is proposed in this work, where a 3-dB tandem coupler with two section of parallel-coupled line. Implemented air-bridge crossover structures achieve wide frequency operation and the fabricated mixer exhibits excellent LO-RF isolation, larger than 30 dB, in the 5 GHz bandwidth of 91-96 GHz. A good conversion loss of 7.4 dB is measured at 94 GHz. The proposed MHEMT-based diode mixer shows superior LO-RF isolation and conversion loss to those of the W-band mixers reported to date.

A multipronged approach to innovation: The Mauritius Case Study

  • Innovation is broadly defined as the creation or adoption of new ideas and technologies, which has become an instrumental tool to determine the success and development level of a country as it leads to competitiveness and productivity of companies. Innovation is influenced by many factors including geographic and socio-economic factors as well as a political framework. In fact, innovation is systemic in nature, and it focuses on interactions amongst a nexus of processes such as Research and Development (R&D), production, business, and education, amongst other factors. However, not all innovation ecosystems have the same architectural models or internal collaboration. This paper aims to review the structure of the National Innovation Ecosystem by highlighting the different actions taken by the Government of Mauritius over the years. The multipronged approach of the government will be demonstrated through the different lines of actions to boost the innovation culture and offers a foundation for other small island developing state to follow to be at par with other innovative economies.

  • This paper describes a comprehensive approach to examine how technological innovation contributes to the renewal of the firm's competences through its dynamic and reciprocal relationship with R&D and product commercialization. Three theories of technology and innovation (R&D and technological knowledge concept, product-process concept, technological interdependence concept) are used to relate technology and innovation to strategic management. Based on those theories, this paper attempts to identify dynamic relationship between product innovation and process innovation by system dynamics, by investigating the aspect of the dynamic changes of the closed feedback circulation structure in which R&D investments drive technological knowledge accumulation, and such knowledge accumulation actualizes product innovation and process innovation, subsequently resulting in the increase of productivity, customer satisfaction, profit generation, and re-investment on R&D from the created profits. This provides the ability to assess the advantages and disadvantages of different technological innovation strategies and commitments, and the opportunity to explore equilibrium point and suggest a generalized technological innovation model under different industry environment parameters and time-strategies.

높은 항복전압을 위한 InP 합성 채널 MHEMT의 성능과 특성에 대한 연구 (Study of performance and characteristics of InP-composite channel MHEMT for High Breakdown Voltage)

  • To perform the comparative study, we experimented on two differential epitaxial structures, the conventional Metamorphic High Electron Mobility Transistor (MHEMT) using the InAlAs/InGaAs structure and the InP-composite channel MHEMT adopting the InAlAs/InGaAs/InP/n-InP structure. Compared to the conventional MHEMT, the InP-composite channel MHEMT shows improved breakdown performance; over about 3.5 V. This increased breakdown voltage can be explained by the lower impact ionization coefficient of the InP-composite channel MHEMT than that of the conventional MHEMT.

Intraspecific diversity and phylogeography of bony lip barb, Osteochilus vittatus, in Sundaland, as revealed by mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (mtCOI)

  • Life history characteristics, habitat landscape, and historical events are believed to have shaped the patterns of genetic variation in many taxa. The bony lip barb, Osteohilus vittatus, represent a potamodromous fish that complete all life cycle in freshwater and is widely distributed in Southeast Asia. It usually lives in small rivers and other freshwater habitats, and movement between habitats for either food or reproduction has been typical. These life history characteristics may promote gene flow, leading to less structured populations. However, many freshwater habitats are fragmented, which restricts gene flow. We investigate how this interplay has shaped patterns of genetic variation and phylogeographic structure within this species in the Sundaland, a biodiversity hotspot with a complex geological history, using mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (mtCOI) as a genetic marker. Forty-six mtCOI sequences of 506 bp long were collected from ten localities, eight geographically isolated and two connected. The sequences were used for population genetic and phylogeographic analyses. Our results showed a low genetic diversity within populations but high between populations. There was a deep phylogeographic structure among geographically isolated populations but a lack of such structure in the connected habitats. Among geographically isolated populations, sequence divergence was revealed, ranging from 1.8% between Java and Sumatra populations to 12.2% between Malaysia and Vietnam. An indication of structuring was also observed among localities that are geographically closer but without connectivity. We conclude that despite high dispersal capacity, the joint effects of historical events, long-term geographic isolation associated with sea level oscillation during the Pleistocene, and restricted gene flow related to lack of habitat connectivity have shaped the phylogeographic structure within the O. vittatus over the Sundaland.

  • The Italian fashion industry has achieved a remarkable success in the global market with the distinctive features of its industry structure and product quality, and such a system has been subject to many researches. Especially, the retail structure centered on small speciality retail stores rather than the industry structure of medium and small sized companies and department stores is thought to be the most noticeable distinctive feature that differentiates the Italian fashion industry from other countries. This system is thought to be a driving force behind the continuous development and innovation closely associated with the market. In result, As medium and small size companies are the center of the Italian fashion industry, advantages of small companies based on region, that is, flexibility and innovation of medium and small size companies, close cooperation between companies are utilized and it has been progressing closely with the Italian traditional culture and being modernized based on traditional technological skills.

  • Using various data derived from the regional innovation projects in the IT and BT-sectors within Chungbuk Province, this study tries to observe formation processes of network connecting structure and their spill-over effects. Considering the dynamic nature of key issues, it applies both social network analysis and causal loop methods. After a series of simulation exercises, we find that so-called extroverted regional innovation projects, that is, ones financially supported by the central government, reveal a higher tendency in the centrality, heavily depending on a handful of well reputed organizations. It is quite similar to the reinforcing mechanism, resulting in the rich-get-richer and the poor-get-poorer. Compared with the existing documents, nonetheless, it shows relatively weak in the mechanism strength, implying the fact that regional innovation projects have significantly contributed to ameliorating the unequal distribution of innovation organizations within Chungbuk Province. On the other hand, this study concludes that all the brokerage organizations related to the regional innovation projects have settled in Chungbuk Province. Whereas the Capital Region-based organizations present a higher tendency in the knowledge-network, it seems that the regional innovation projects have significantly contributed to upgrading direct and indirect competitiveness of the local organizations.
