In this study, we evaluated the chemical and physical properties of structural steel, which is the most basic material for steel structures and reinforcement concrete structures in modern period. We theorized the technical data for the research of technical history of modern heritage structures by analyzing the product system and its quality control of structural steel used in modern historical heritages. The results of this study are as follow; first, the rounded bars were used in most of modern heritage structures. But in the case of Waegwan railroad bridge, the deformed bars were used in spit of not using in Japan after the great earthquake of Kantou. Second, the structural steel was good in terms of quality control, but It has brittle properties because it was not manufactured by heat treatment process.
The structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of $CoMn_{1-x}Cr_xGe$ (x=0.05-0.125) have been investigated by using electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, calorimetric and magnetic measurements. In this study, our aim is to justify the magnetocaloric effect by tuning the structural and magnetic transition temperature with Cr doping on CoMnGe pure system. The substitution of Cr for Mn leads to a decrease of both structural and magnetic transition temperatures. However, structural and magnetic transition temperatures do not close to each other. From magnetization measurement, we calculate that isothermal entropy change associated with magnetic transition can be as high as 3.82 J $kg^{-1}K^{-1}$ at 302 K in a field of 7 T. Meanwhile, structural phase transition contribution to isothermal entropy change is calculated as 5.85 J $kg^{-1}K^{-1}$ at 322 K for 7 T.

Atrium being on fire, the flame is spread vertically, the methods of fire protection and the standards of security are different respectively. Therefore, in the case of atrium, it has many problems on the fire protection and the application of statute according to the space properties. So it is important to analysis, atrium being on fire, fire properties to space properties. From these points of view, the purpose of this study is to analysis the fire properties of atrium .

Drift design using resizing techniques can be a very practical method in drift design of high-rise buildings since it cannot require sensitivity analysis and structural re-analysis. Resizing techniques has used the cross sectional areas as design variable and supposed that displacement participation factors are inversely proportional to structural weights. Efficiency of resizing techniques based on displacement participation factors may depend on proper selection of sectional properties as design variables. In this study, two different drift design methods with the different sectional properties as design variables are presented and applied to a 20-story structure.

The effect of the organoclay_10A nanoparticles on the DSC and Structural and Dielectrics Properties(1Hz-1MHz) for epoxy/Organoclay_10A Nanocomposites has been studied. Dielectric properties of epoxy-Organoclay nanocomposites were investigated at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 filler concentration by weight. Epoxy nanocomposites samples were prepared with good dispersion of layered silicate using power ultrasonic method in the particles. As structural analysis, the interlayer spacing have decreased with filled nanoparticles contents increase using power ultrasonic dispersion. The maximum increase interlayered spacing was observed to decease for above 5wt% clay loading. The other hand, as decrease with concentration filler of the layered silicate were increased dispersion degree of nanoparticles in the matrix. The interesting dielectric properties for epoxy based nanocomposites systems are attributed to the large volume fraction of interfacesin the bulk of the material and the ensuring interactions between the charged nanoparticle surface and the epoxy chains.

Structural and magnetic properties of Co-Cr-Mo films were investigated in connection with sputtering conditions. Films were prepared using a convention RF sputtering system. X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were employed to investigate structure properties. Vibrating sample magnetometry was used for coercivity and saturation magnetization measurements. Co-Cr-Mo films displayed reasonable values of perpendicular coercivity and saturation magnetization for perpendicular recording media and showed good perpendicular orientation of the hcp c-axis to the film surface. Perpendicular coercivity was strongly dependent upon substrate technique showed better c-axis orientation than hose using the stationary substrate. Co-Cr-Mo films of 2.9 at. % Mo content showed maximum perpendicular coercivity and saturation magnetization. The films deposited at lower Ar pressure showed good magnetic properties. There was no explicit relationship between the columnar structure and c-axis orientation. Co-Cr-Mo films was found to have suitable structural and magnetic properties for perpendicular recording media.
We performed total energy and electronic structure calculations for the basic ground state properties of Fe using the conventional generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and screened hybrid functionals as the form of the exchange-correlation functional. To that end, we calculated structural (equilibrium lattice constants, bulk moduli, and cohesive energies) and electronic (magnetic moments and densities of states) properties. Both functional calculations gave the correct ground state, the ferromagnetic bcc phase, in which the structural parameters agreed well with experimental results. However, the description of the cohesive energies and magnetic moments at the ground state exhibited different behavior from each other: the unusually small cohesive energy and large magnetic moment were observed in the screened hybrid functional calculations compared to the GGA calculations. The reason for the difference was examined by analyzing the calculated electronic structures.

Cadmium sulphide (CdS) films have been prepared on polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and Coming 7059 substrates by r.f. magnetron sputtering technique at room temperature. A comparison of the properties of the films deposited on polymer and glass substrates was performed. In addition, the influence of the sputter power on the structural and optical properties of these films was evaluated.
The influence of the order-disorder structural transition on the magnetic and mageto-optical, and transport properties of Fe-Al and Co-Al alloy films has been investigated. The disordered states in the alloy films were prepared by vapor quenching deposition on glass substrates cooled by liquid nitrogen. The experimental study of the magento-optical properties of the ordered and disordered Fe-Al and Co-Al alloy films has been carried out in 1.05-5.0 eV energy range at room temperature. The transport properties have been measured in 2-300K temperature range with and without magnetic field of 0.5T. The influence of the order-disorder structural transition on the magnetic and magneto-optical properties was discussed by using the effective medium approximation and the structural defect approach. That on the temperature dependence of the resistivity was analyzed in a framework of the partial localization of the electronic states and the variable range hopping conductivity.

This paper presents the structural model development and verification processes of wind turbine blade. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Phase VI wind turbine which the wind tunnel and structural test data has publicly available is used for the study. The wind turbine assembled by blades, rotor, nacelle and tower. The wind blade connected to rotor. To make the whole turbine structural model, the mass and stiffness properties of all parts should be clear and given. However the wind blade, hub, nacelle, rotor and power generating machinery parts have difficulties to define the material properties because of the composite and assembling nature of that. Nowadays to increase the power generating coefficient and cost efficiency, the highly accurate aerodynamic loading evaluating technique should be developed. The Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is the emerging new way to evaluate the aerodynamic force on the rotating wind blade. To perform the FSI analysis, the fluid and structural model which are sharing the associated interface topology have to be provided. In this paper, the structural model of blade development and verifying processes have been explained for Part1. In following Part2 paper, the processes of whole turbine system will be discussing.
