The electronic and optical characteristics of molybdenum disulphide ($MoS_2$) film significantly vary with its thickness, and thus a rapid and accurate estimation of the number of $MoS_2$ layers is critical in practical applications as well as in basic researches. Various existing methods are currently available for the thickness measurement, but each has drawbacks. Transmission electron microscopy allows actual counting of the $MoS_2$ layers, but is very complicated and requires destructive processing of the sample to the point where it will no longer be useable after characterization. Atomic force microscopy, particularly when operated in the tapping mode, is likewise time-consuming and suffers from certain anomalies caused by an improperly chosen set point, that is, free amplitude in air for the cantilever. Raman spectroscopy is a quick characterization method for identifying one to a few layers, but the laser irradiation causes structural degradation of the $MoS_2$. Optical microscopy works only when $MoS_2$ is on a silicon substrate covered with $SiO_2$ of 100~300 nm thickness. The last two optical methods are commonly limited in resolution to the micrometer range due to the diffraction limits of light. We report here a method of measuring the distribution of the number of $MoS_2$ layers using a low voltage field emission electron microscope with acceleration voltages no greater than 1 kV. We found a linear relationship between the FESEM contrast and the number of $MoS_2$ layers. This method can be used to characterize $MoS_2$ samples at nanometer-level spatial resolution, which is below the limits of other methods.

Purpose Generative Adversarial Network(GAN) is one of deep learning technologies. This is a way to create a real fake image after learning the real image. In this study, after acquiring artificial intelligence images through GAN, We were compared and evaluated with real scan time images. We want to see if these technologies are potentially useful. Materials and Methods 30 patients who underwent 18F-FDG Brain PET/CT scanning at Severance Hospital, were acquired in 15-minute List mode and reconstructed into 1,2,3,4,5 and 15minute images, respectively. 25 out of 30 patients were used as learning images for learning of GAN and 5 patients used as verification images for confirming the learning model. The program was implemented using the Python and Tensorflow frameworks. After learning using the Pix2Pix model of GAN technology, this learning model generated artificial intelligence images. The artificial intelligence image generated in this way were evaluated as Mean Square Error(MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR), and Structural Similarity Index(SSIM) with real scan time image. Results The trained model was evaluated with the verification image. As a result, The 15-minute image created by the 5-minute image rather than 1-minute after the start of the scan showed a smaller MSE, and the PSNR and SSIM increased. Conclusion Through this study, it was confirmed that AI imaging technology is applicable. In the future, if these artificial intelligence imaging technologies are applied to nuclear medicine imaging, it will be possible to acquire images even with a short scan time, which can be expected to reduce artifacts caused by patient movement and increase the efficiency of the scanning room.
In the domestic aluminum industry, the extrusion process is a major process accounting for more than 40% of the total production. However, most domestic aluminum extrusion companies produce aluminum using old equipment that is more than 30 years old. Extrusion press is when the equipment is not replaced before the wear and breakage of major parts occur, reducing productivity and increasing the defect rate compared to new equipment. The old extrusion press often loses part drawings, so it is difficult to repair them properly on-site and to remanufacture them due to the lack of technical skills for maintenance. Therefore, a systematic remanufacturing plan must be designed from dismantling the equipment. In this study, remanufacturing FMEA was devised to remanufacture old extrusion press. The risk priority was analyzed by considering the degree of damage to the recycled parts, the cycle due to breakage/damage during the extrusion process, and the value of recycling resources due to remanufacturing. To standardize the remanufacturing process, remanufactured FMEA was performed through part analysis according to the structural analysis of the extrusion press. In addition, remanufacturing priorities were selected for each part, while remanufacturing itself was studied for efficiency of resource circulation and product quality stabilization.
Strengthening with near surface mounted carbon fibre reinforced polymers (NSM-CFRP) is a strengthening technique that have been used for several decades to increase the load carrying capacity of reinforced concrete members. In Iraq, many concrete buildings and bridges were subjected to a wide range of damage as a result of the last war and many other events. Accordingly, there is a progressive increase in the strengthening of concrete structures, bridges in particular, by using CFRP strengthening techniques. Near-surface mounted carbon fibre polymer has been recently proved as a powerful strengthening technique in which the CFRP strips are sufficiently protected against external environmental conditions especially the high-temperature rates in Iraq. However, this technique has not been examined yet under repeated loading conditions such as traffic loads on bridge girders. The main objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of NSM-CFRP strips in reinforced concrete beams under repeated loads. Different parameters such as the number of strips, groove size, and two types of bonding materials (epoxy resin and cement-based adhesive) were considered. Fifteen NSM-CFRP strengthened beams were tested under concentrated monotonic and repeated loadings. Three beams were non-strengthened as reference specimens while the remaining were strengthened with NSM-CFRP strips and divided into three groups. Each group comprises two beams tested under monotonic loads and used as control for those tested under repeated loads in the same group. The experimental results are discussed in terms of load-deflection behavior up to failure, ductility factor, cumulative energy absorption, number of cycles to failure, and the mode of failure. The test results proved that strengthening with NSM-CFRP strips increased both the flexural strength and stiffness of the tested beams. An increase in load carrying capacity was obtained in a range of (1.47 to 4.49) times that for the non-strengthened specimens. Also, the increase in total area of CFRPs showed a slight increase in flexural capacity of (1.02) times the value of the control strengthened one tested under repeated loading. Increasing the total area of CFRP strips resulted in a reduction in ductility factor reached to (0.71) while the cumulative energy absorption increased by (1.22) times the values of the strengthened reference specimens tested under repeated loading. Moreover, the replacement of epoxy resin with cement-based adhesive as a bonding material exhibited higher ductility than specimen with epoxy resin tested under monotonic and repeated loading.

Building Ukraine as an independent, sovereign state requires the education of a citizen-patriot, able to live and work in a democracy, ensure the unity of Ukraine, feel constant responsibility for themselves, their people, country, seek to make a real contribution to the reform process. Modern modernization of the education system requires the search for new information and communication technologies that can ensure the formation of a citizen with an active civic position, which involves not only students mastering the rights and responsibilities of citizens, convincing them of the feasibility of democratic transformation of society, patriotic qualities and feelings, but also the identification of motivated civic actions. The pandemic and hostilities have led to significant changes in the field of education around the world, they have caused educational problems in Ukraine. At the beginning of the quarantine in the spring of 2020, all educational institutions in the emergency mode switched to distance learning. Intensive use of information and communication technologies in the life of modern society has led to a rethinking of the content of education and training of future professionals: the main role is played not so much by the information itself as the ability to work with it, critically comprehend and produce new knowledge; the main thing is not the amount of information, but its quality; information is needed for further practical application and transformation into knowledge, and the ability to work with information becomes one of the important competencies of the modern specialist in the new transformation of society: from information to the knowledge society. In this context, one of the main forms of training is distance learning, which is able to respond to the challenges of society. The main methodological positions that are taken into account in the construction of the structure and dynamics of the formation of civic responsibility of the individual during the use of information and communication technologies are highlighted. The structure of civil responsibility as a holistic system of information and communication technologies is outlined, which includes three subsystems that characterize the natural, social and systemic qualities of citizenship, interconnected hierarchically and synergistically. The constituent elements of the structural part of the model of civic culture of the individual are analyzed.

Jack-up drilling rigs are mobile offshore platforms widely used in the offshore oil and gas exploration industry. These are independent, three-legged, self-elevating units with a cantilevered drilling facility for drilling and production. A typical jack-up rig includes a triangular hull, a tower derrick, a cantilever, a jackcase, living quarters and legs which comprise three-chord, open-truss, X-braced structure with a spudcan. Generally, jack-up rigs can only operate in water depths ranging from 130m to 170m. Recently, there has been an increasing demand for jack-up rigs for operating at deeper water levels and harsher environmental conditions such as waves, currents and wind loads. All static and dynamic loads are supported through legs in the jack-up mode. The most important issue by society is to secure the safety of the leg structure against collision that causes large instantaneous impact energy. In this study, nonlinear FE -analysis and verification of the requirement against collision for 35MJ recommended by DNV was performed using LS-Dyna software. The colliding ship used a 7,500ton of shore supply vessel, and five scenarios of collisions were selected. From the results, all conditions do not satisfy the class requirement of 35MJ. The loading conditions associated with chord collision are reasonable collision energy of 15M and brace collisions are 6MJ. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the identical collision criteria by DNV need to be modified based on collision scenarios and colliding members.
To realize the recycling utilization of waste concrete and alleviate the shortage of resources, 11 specimens of steel reinforced recycled concrete (SRRC) filled circular steel tube columns were designed and manufactured in this study, and the cyclic loading tests on the specimens of columns were also carried out respectively. The hysteretic curves, skeleton curves and performance indicators of columns were obtained and analysed in detail. Besides, the finite element model of columns was established through OpenSees software, which considered the adverse effect of recycled coarse aggregate (RA) replacement rates and the constraint effect of circular steel tube on internal RAC. The numerical calculation curves of columns are in good agreement with the experimental curves, which shows that the numerical model is relatively reasonable. On this basis, a series of nonlinear parameters analysis on the hysteretic behaviors of columns were also investigated. The results are as follows: When the replacement rates of RA increases from 0 to 100%, the peak loads of columns decreases by 7.78% and the ductility decreases slightly. With the increase of axial compression ratio, the bearing capacity of columns increases first and then decreases, but the ductility of columns decreases rapidly. Increasing the wall thickness of circular steel tube is very profitable to improve the bearing capacity and ductility of columns. When the section steel ratio increases from 5.54% to 9.99%, although the bearing capacity of columns is improved, it has no obvious contribution to improve the ductility of columns. With the decrease of shear span ratio, the bearing capacity of columns increases obviously, but the ductility decreases, and the failure mode of columns develops into brittle shear failure. Therefore, in the engineering design of columns, the situation of small shear span ratio (i.e., short columns) should be avoided as far as possible. Based on this, the calculation model on the skeleton curves of columns was established by the theoretical analysis and fitting method, so as to determine the main characteristic points in the model. The effectiveness of skeleton curve model is verified by comparing with the test skeleton curves.
This study examined the social capital and geographical gaps of local television stations using web data gathered through website crawling. URLs for 16 local MBC websites were collected. MBC is an abbreviation for Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of South Korea's largest television and radio broadcasters. Munhwa is a Sino-Korean term that means "culture." It initially determined which institutions local broadcasting stations were linked to using a Web Impact Report. To investigate the specific connection type, URL information was classified using the n-tuple helix model, followed by 2-mode network analysis. The n-tuple helix model is an analysis method that extends the standard university-business-government triple-helix model by including a new network innovation originator. As a result, local broadcasting stations relied heavily on activities like as festivals, performances, and exhibitions to engage the local community. Local stations in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam area were identified as having the most diverse connections to the local population among other regions.
Bisphenol A is a representative endocrine disruptor and continuously detected in aquatic environment due to wide use, resulting in adverse effects on growth, development, and reproduction in diverse organisms as well as human. Structural analogs have been developed to substitute BPA are also suspected to have endocrine disrupting effects. In the present study, the time-dependent expression patterns of ecdysteroid synthesis (nvd, cyp314a1), receptors (EcRA, EcRB, USP, ERR), and downstream signaling pathway - related genes (HR3, E75, Vtg, VtgR) were investigated using quantitative real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) in the brackish water flea Diaphanosoma celebensis exposed to Bisphenol analogs (BPs; BPA, BPF, and BPS) for 6, 12, and 24 h. As results, the expression of nvd, cyp314a1, EcRs, USP, ERR and E75 mRNA was upregulated at 6 h exposure to BPF, which is earlier than BPA and BPS (12 h). On the other hand, HR3, E75 and VtgR mRNA levels were elevated at 6 h earlier at BPS and BPF than at BPA (12 h), but Vtg mRNA level was slightly changed within 24 h. These findings suggest that like BPA, BPF and BPS can also modulate the transcription of ecdysteroid pathway - related genes with different mechanisms, and have a potential as endocrine disruptors. This study will provide a better understanding the molecular mode of action of bisphenols on ecdysteroid pathway in the brackish water flea.

The subsea power cables are increasingly important for harvesting renewable energies as we develop offshore wind farms located at a long distance from shore. Particularly, the continuous flexural motion of inter-array dynamic power cable of floating offshore wind turbine causes tremendous fatigue damages on the cable. As the subsea power cable consists of the helical structures with various components unlike a mooring line and a steel pipe riser, the fatigue analysis of the cables should be performed using special procedures that consider stick/slip phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs between inner helically wound components when they are tensioned or compressed by environmental loads and the floater motions. In particular, Vortex-induced vibration (VIV) can be generated by currents and have significant impacts on the fatigue life of the cable. In this study, the procedure for VIV fatigue analysis of the dynamic power cable has been established. Additionally, the respective roles of programs employed and required inputs and outputs are explained in detail. Demonstrations of case studies are provided under severely sheared currents to investigate the influences on amplitude variations of dynamic power cables caused by the excitation of high mode numbers. Finally, sensitivity studies have been performed to compare dynamic cable design parameters, specifically, structural damping ratio, higher order harmonics, and lift coefficients tables. In the future, one of the fundamental assumptions to assess the VIV response will be examined in detail, namely a narrow-banded Gaussian process derived from the VIV amplitudes. Although this approach is consistent with current industry standards, the level of consistency and the potential errors between the Gaussian process and the fatigue damage generated from deterministic time-domain results are to be confirmed to verify VIV fatigue analysis procedure for slender marine structures.
