In this study, a structural health monitoring system for cable-stayed bridges is developed. In the system, condition assessment of the structure is performed based on measured records from seismic accelerometers. Response indices are defined to monitor structural safety and serviceability and derived from the measured acceleration data. The derivation process of the indices is structured to follow the transformation from the raw data to the outcome. The process includes noise filtering, baseline correction, numerical integration, and calculation of relative differences. The system is packed as a condition assessment program, which consists of four major processes of the structural health evaluation: (i) format conversion of the raw data, (ii) noise filtering, (iii) generation of response indices, and (iv) condition evaluation. An example set of limit states is presented to evaluate the structural condition of the test-bed and cable-stayed bridge.
Alloying degree is an important structural factor of PtRu catalysts for direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC). In this work, carbon supported PtRu catalysts were synthesized by reduction method using anhydrous ethanol as a solvent and $NaBH_4$ as a reducing agent. Using anhydrous ethanol as a solvent resulted in high alloying degree and good dispersion. The morphological structure and crystallanity of synthesized catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM). CO stripping and methanol oxidation reaction were measured. Due to high alloying degree catalyst prepared in anhydrous ethanol, exhibited low onset potential for methanol oxidation and negative peak shift of CO oxidation than commercial sample. Consequently, samples, applying ethanol as a solvent, exhibited not only enhanced CO oxidation, but also increased methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) activity compared with commercial PtRu/C (40 wt%, E-tek) and 40 wt% PtRu/C prepared in water solution.
The compositional and structural properties of alkali metal ion exchanged Y-zeolites have been investigated by la number of analytical techniques and their catalytic activities were tested for NOx reduction in combination with a non-thermal plasma. The NOx conversion data for LiY, NaY, KY and CsY were measured by chemiluminiscent NOx meter in the temperature range of 100 to $350^{\circ}C$. The initial activities of the catalyst at $150^{\circ}C$ increased in the order LiY < KY < NaY < CsY in alkali series. The activity of CsY and NaY were increased and showed maximum at $200^{\circ}C$ and then decreased in the plasma reactor, as the temperature increased. The activity of KY maintained same by $200^{\circ}C$ and then decreased, whereas the activity of LiY decreased with the increasing temperature. The CsY catalyst, which showed the highest activity in alkali metal series, exhibits a NOx conversion efficiency of $80\%$ between $170{\~}220^{\circ}C$.

Dynamic threshold public-key encryption provides dynamic setting of the group of all users, receivers and the threshold value. Over recent years, there are many studies on the construction of scheme, called ID-based dynamic threshold encryption, which combines the ID-based encryption with dynamic threshold encryption. In this paper, we analyze the ID-based dynamic threshold encryption proposed by Xing and Xu in 2011, and show that their scheme has a structural problem. We propose a conversion method from ID-based encryption which uses the bilinear map to ID-based dynamic threshold encryption. Additionally, we prove this converted scheme has CPA security under the full model.
Last days, various kinds of applications and system were individually introduced into specific groups or enterprises by different objective without considering interoperability among those. However, the environment for data processing is changing rapidly in these days. And now the necessity is growing to integrate and couple applications and system in the process dimension for more flexible and quicker data processing on these application programs and system. When integrating these application programs or system, an integration based on XML is recommended as it is one of good methods which will the additional cost and satisfy the requirements of the integration. This is because the XML is not only device-independent data type which can be used any platform, but also it uses XSLT, the document conversion standard established by W3C, which allows easy data conversion from one to another type on occasion of demands. This paper studies a design and implementation of system to convert XML structure. This system shows the structure of source- side providing data and destination-side processing data with using XML schema that defines structural information of a XML document. And this system defines the structure relationship of desired form as mapping structural information and data. This system creates the XSLT document that defines conversion rule between two structures based information which is defined. The XSLT document which is created as described above will convert data to be appropriate to the structure of the destination- side. By implementing this system, it is able to apply a document into various kinds of structure without considering specific system or platform and it is able to construct XSLT document to which meaning of desired form can be given. This paper aims to offer a process conversion between documents and to improve interoperability and scalability, so that we can contribute to build XML document processing environment

It is limited to decrease height or section even by system conversion to indeterminate structure - continuous beam - in existing PSC girder bridges. In this study, the movement of connection is analyzed through actual field test, by increasing stiffness of negative moment area in continuous PSC bridge and developing continuous PSC bridge with embedded steel plate, that can overcome the demerit of existing connection. As a result, it is confirmed that the body unification of the connection is being realized and maintained. Moreover, the height of a span is suggested in continuous PSC girder bridge with embedded steel plate by computational analysis
Dopamine beta-hydroxylase (DBH) is a neurotransmitter biosynthetic enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine. Although structural studies of the mature form of this enzyme have been extensive, the culmination of these finding had been hightly controversial and contradictory. In this study, biochemical approaches were taken to characterize the structure of mature DBH. Soluble bovine DBH was purified from aderenal medulla. Three bands of 69 kDa, 72 kDa and 75 kDa which were physically separable and similar in structure were observed by SDS-PAGE. Furthermore, gas phase sequence analysis revealed that the 72 kDa band consists of two polypeptides which are present at equimolar concentrations and differed in that one had three extra amino acids at the N-terminus. Taken together, the soluble form of DBH exist in at least four forms, three identified by SDS-PAGE, one of which consists of two polypeptides as identified by N-terminal sequence analysis. The significance of these forms and their possible biosynthetic mechanisms are discussed.
Photoinduced charge separation of alkylphenothiazines in molecular assemblies such as positively, negatively and neutrally charged micelle interface results in the paramagnetic phenothiazine cation radical. This was studied as a model system for the light energy conversion into chemical energy. The photoproduced phenothaizne cation radical was identified and its amount was quantized with electron spin resonance (ESR). The microenvironment of photoproduced cation radical was studied with pulsed-ESR. Such a charge separation is enhanced by the optimization of various structural factors of the molecular assemblies. The structural factors of molecular assemblies have focused on the interface charge, interface structure with different headgroups and interfacial perturbation by disolving interface active organic additives.

The present pipe modeling method requires detailed inputs from a designer to generate a pipe model, and thus it takes much time for the designer to perform such task. Moreover, the pipe model has no relation with the hull structure. Thus, it is time-consuming and requires much effort if design changes arise. In this study, a generating method that generates quickly many pipes using a pipe tray and a conversion method that converts automatically the pipes into objects related with the hull structure are proposed. A pipe modeling system based on the proposed methods is developed. The applicability of the developed system is demonstrated by applying it to the generation of the pipe model of a deadweight 300,000 ton VLCC(Very Large Crude oil Carrier). The results show that the developed system can quickly generate the pipe model in relation with the hull structure.
