Purpose: To identify factors associated with menstrual distress and characterize the relationship between menstrual distress and sleep disturbance in middle-school girls. Methods: Participants in this correlational study were 117 middle-school girls who were recruited through convenience sampling. Data were collected from March 2018 to April 2018 using self-reported structured questionnaires and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0. Factors associated with menstrual distress included physiological, psychological, and situational factors based on the theory of unpleasant symptoms. Results: Age of menarche (${\beta}=-.28$, p<.001), amount of menstruation (${\beta}=.23$, p=.004), lifestyle-related exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (${\beta}=.21$, p=.027), and academic and peer-relationship stress (${\beta}=.19$, p=.025) influenced menstrual distress, explaining 47.4% of the variance in this regression model. The relationship between menstrual distress and sleep disturbance was statistically significant. Sleep disturbance was increased 1.26 folds when dysmenorrhea score increased by one unit (OR=1.26, 95% CI: 1.01~1.58). However, parental support was not a significant moderating factor of sleep disturbance. Conclusion: This study provides basis to develop an intervention strategy to alleviate menstrual discomfort in adolescents and improve their quality of sleep.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among menopausal symptoms, functional status, and distress and to identify factors influencing distress in premenopausal breast cancer patients who had been on endocrine therapy. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. Data were collected using questionnaires from 140 patients with breast cancer undergoing endocrine therapy at a general hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Tukey HSD test, Pearson's correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The mean scores for menopausal symptom, functional status, and distress were $19.65{\pm}7.86$, $2.67{\pm}0.33$ and $3.69{\pm}2.19$, respectively. The menopausal symptoms and distress were positively correlated (r=.76, p<.001). The menopausal symptoms and functional status (r=-.43, p<.001) and functional status and distress (r=-.31, p<.001) were negatively correlated. The most influential factor for distress was menopausal symptoms (${\beta}=.79$, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, developing nursing intervention programs focusing on decreasing menopausal symptoms and distress are recommended.
Technostress management is increasingly getting important as ICT advances and infiltrates every job and task. Especially with the advent of COVID-19, workers had to switch to teleworking utilizing ICT extensively. In this study, we developed a research model explaining antecedents and their impacts on technostress in telecommuting context, especially under the COVID-19 situation. The result revealed that techno-complexity, techno-invasion, and techno-overload are the dominant factors that affect the negative psychological responses in the COVID-19 situation. Among them, we found that techno-overload maintain the most significant influence. It is due to the lack of instant feedback on workload allocations in telework and the lack of adjustment period with the sudden shift to telecommuting. In the case of techno-complexity, employees seem to experience difficulty acquiring new technical skills. Finally, the techno-invasion came out significant, signifying the infiltration of working space by home-related activities. The emotion-focused coping strategy had a moderating effect. In contrast, the problem-focused coping strategy had no significant effect, indicating that an appropriate emotional coping strategy is more important for workers undergoing extreme changes in the work environment. Subsequently, practical and theoretical implications, limitations, and future research directions are discussed.

Purpose: The present study utilizes a descriptive research design to investigate the moderating effect of resilience on the relationship between the experience of traumatic events and turnover intention among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods: The participants were 161 hospital nurses who voluntarily agreed to participate in this study. Traumatic event experience, turnover intention, and resilience were assessed. The data were analyzed with hierarchical multiple regression using the SPSS 26.0 software program. Results: The experience of traumatic events had a statistically significant positive correlation with turnover intention (r=.17, p=.037), whereas it had a statistically significant negative correlation with turnover intention and resilience (r=-.37, p<.001). Resilience had a moderating effect on the relationship between the experience of traumatic events and turnover intention (𝛽=-.20, p=.007). Conclusion: The results of this study found that the experience of traumatic events among ICU nurses was a significant factor in turnover intention and that resilience moderated the strength of the relationship between such experiences and turnover intention. Therefore, to prevent ICU nurses' experience of a traumatic event from leading to their leaving nursing, it is necessary to formulate preventive measures and interventions for traumatic events, while enhancing resilience among ICU nurses.
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the concept of transfer anxiety in parents of children transferred from pediatric intensive care units to general wards. Methods: The hybrid model by Schwarz-Barcott and Kim was used to analyze the characteristics of transfer anxiety in parents of children transferred from pediatric intensive care units to general wards. Results: Transfer anxiety was defined by the following attributes: 1) stress concerning the adaptation process, 2) concern about the child's condition worsening due to the parent's caregiving, and 3) involuntary changes in daily life due to the treatment. Transfer anxiety has the following antecedents: 1) uncertainty; 2) a lack of knowledge about the illness, medical devices, and caregiving; and 3) a lack of social support. It resulted in 1) caregiver burden, 2) a decrease in the capacity for coping with caregiving, 3) delays in the child's physical and psychological recovery, and 4) decreased quality of life. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an assessment scale that considers the attributes of transfer anxiety in parents of children transferred from pediatric intensive care units to general wards. Furthermore, an effective nursing intervention should be developed to reduce transfer anxiety.
Hair loss causes psychological stress due to its effect on appearance. Therefore, the global market for hair loss treatment products is rapidly growing. The present study demonstrated that ginseng berry-derived and sequence-modified peptides promoted the proliferation rate of dermal papilla (DP) cells and keratinocytes, in addition to having antioxidant properties. Moreover, the potential role of these ginseng berry peptides as TGF-β2 antagonists was confirmed through in silico computer docking. In addition to promoting the growth of ,the ginseng berry-derived peptides also promoted the proliferation of keratinocytes experimental Particularly, an unmodified ginseng berry-derived peptide (GB-1) and two peptides with sequence modifications (GB-2 and GB-3) decreased ROS generation and exhibited a protective effect on damaged HaCaT keratinocytes. Computer-aided peptide discovery was conducted to identify the potential interactions of important proteins with transforming growth factor-beta 2 (TGF-β2), a key protein that plays a crucial role in the human hair growth cycle. Our results demonstrated that MAGH, an amino acid sequence present in herbal supplements and plant-based natural compounds, can inhibit TGF-β2.

This study attempted to identify the experiences of nursing students' participation in cadaver practice and provide a basis for understanding students' experiences in cadaver practice, which can be reflected in the development of programs for them. By applying the content analysis method according to the guidelines by Krippendorff to analyze the meaning of the experience of participating in cadaver practice among 80 nursing students who participated in cadaver practice at K University in W-si, Gangwon-do, a total of 4 areas, 13 categories, and 25 meaningful statements were derived. The categories included "worried," "surprised," and "fear" in the anxiety domain; "interesting," "knowing," and "focused" in the immersion domain; "value of life," "gratitude and remembrance," "thinking about donation," "facing death," and "precious body" in the reflection domain; and "motivation" and "sense of accomplishment" in the growth domain. The results of this study will help to understand the physical and psychological reactions that nursing students may experience during cadaver practice, and will provide a basis for developing various strategies such as counseling, education, and reflection programs in conjunction with cadaver practice to help nursing students cope with stress, develop a sense of ethical responsibility, and develop a positive self-image as nursing students in order to be successful in cadaver practice. This study is also significant because it provides a basis for preventive program interventions for experiences related to the negative effects of cadaver practice.

The aviation industry has continued to grow despite the influence of external environmental factors such as SARS and MERS. However, this growth has led to a sharp decrease in air traffic and a crisis of flight suspension due to the collapse of the global value chain and the decline of the world economy as the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the decrease in the number of international flights, aviation workers such as pilots and cabin crew were exposed to high psychological stress and fatigue, such as large-scale layoffs, job instability, decrease in income, and increased risk of infection during. Recently, the international community has eased immigration restrictions through quarantine activities, and airlines are taking a step further to recover existing air demand. However, during the crisis period, a significant number of professional workers have been turned off or fired, and the physical and mental fatigue of those who can perform their duties is increasing. Therefore, this paper intends to examine the direction of policy improvement and the identification of problems in aviation safety and fatigue management after the pandemic.

The purpose of this study is to find out how construction sites workers experience adaptation processes in relation to the prevention of safety accidents in the workplace through the method of grounded theory. In order to understand the experience of preventing safety accidents of workers at construction sites, a grounded theory analysis method was chosen. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the first questionnaire was sent to 17 people working in the construction site by e-mail, and the participants of the study were met one by one for in-depth interviews. As a result of this study, the paradigm model of the experience of preventing safety accidents of workers at construction sites was classified into causal conditions, contextual conditions, central phenomena, intervening conditions, action/interactions, and outcomes. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, forming a safety culture that can improve the safety awareness of construction sites is a priority. Second, it is necessary to improve self-management capabilities so that construction workers can accurately diagnose their current state such as their own body, emotion, and cognition and provide appropriate safety education. Third, providing safety education for construction workers with negative thoughts or distorted beliefs about safety accidents needs to include psychological treatment and counseling, such as methods of emotional purification, methods of relieving and managing stress, and methods of removing trauma.

Safety culture is a collection of the beliefs, perceptions and values that employees share in relation to risks within an organisation. On the other hand, a resilient safety culture (RSC) means a culture with readiness of the organisation to respond effectively under stress, bounce back from shocks and continuously learn from them. RSC helps organisations to protect their interest which can be attributed to behavioural, psychological and managerial capabilities of the organization. Quantification of the degree of resilience in an organisation's safety culture can provide insights about the strong and weak links of the organisation's overall health and safety situation by identifying potential causes of system or sub-system failure. One of the major challenges of quantification of RSC is that the attributes that determine RSC need to be measured through constructs and indicators which are complex and often interrelated. In this paper, we address this challenge by applying a fault tree analysis (FTA) technique which can help analyse complex and interrelated constructs and indicators. The fault tree model of RSC is used to evaluate resilience levels of two organisations with remote and urban locations in order to demonstrate the failure path of the weak links in the RSC model.
