정상 에르고드성을 가지는 확률과정 스펙트럼에 대한 합리적 시계열 데이터 확보 (Data Acquisition of Time Series from Stationary Ergodic Random Process Spectrums)

  • The fatigue damages in structural details of offshore plants can be accumulated due to various environmental loadings such as swell, wave, wind and current. It is known that load histories acting on mooring and riser systems show stationary and ergodic bimodal wide-banded process. This paper provides refined approach to obtain time signals representing stress range histories from wide-banded bimodal spectrum which consists of ideally narrow-banded and fully separated two spectrums. Variations of the probabilistic characteristics for time signals according to frequency and sampling time increments are compared with the reference data to be the probabilistic characteristics such as zero-crossing period, peak period, and irregularity factor obtained from an assumed ideal spectrum. It is proved that the sampling time increment more affects on the probabilistic characteristics than frequency increment. The fatigue damages according to the frequency and sampling time increments are also compared with the ones with minimum increment condition which are thought to be exact fatigue damage. It is concluded that the maximum sampling time increment to obtain reliable time signals should be determined that ratio of applied maximum sampling time increment and minimum period is less than approximately 0.08.

유한요소법에 의한 2차원 응력파 전파 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stress Wave Propagation by Finite Element Analysis)

  • A finite element program for elastic stress wave propagation is developed in order to investigate the shape of stress field and analysis the magnitude of stress wave intensity at time increment. Accuracy and reliance of the finite element analysis are acquired when the element size is smaller than the product of the stress wave speed and the critical value of increasing time step. In the finite element analysis and theoretical solution, the longitudinal stress wave is propagated to the similar direction of impact load, and the stress wave intensity is expressed in terms of the ratio of propagated area. The direction of shear wave is declined at an angle of 45 degrees compared with longitudinal stress wave and the speed of shear wave is half of the longitudinal stress wave.

담츱산류의 항스트레스 효능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Anti-Stress Activities of Cholic Acid Derivatives)

  • This study was done to investigate whether cholic acid derivatives have anti-stress activity in various stress models. Two cholic acid derivatives, ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) and tauroursodeoxycholic acid (WDCA), were used. physical, psychological, chemical and environmental stress models were performed. Adrenal weight, serum glucose levels and ALP activity were elevated in restraint stress model, but this elevation was prevented by UDCA treatment. Moreover, UDCA and TUDCA inhibited exploratory and spontaneous movements in oscillation stress model. In alcohol-induced stress model, TUDCA improved rotarod performance. UDCA and TUDCA significantly reduced the involution of lymphoid organs and the increment of WBC counts in cold stress model. These findings suggest that choric acid derivatives have antistress effects in various stress models.

  • 본 논문에서는 용접열영향부(heat affected zone: HAZ)의 인성에 영향을 미치 는 인자중에서 잔유응력의 영향은 중대한 문제로 주목되고 있으며, 이로 인한 용접재 의 기계적 성질의 저하를 경함하기 위한 방법으로 용접후열처리(post weld heat trea- tment: PWHT)에 의한 제거방법을 이용하고 있다.그러나 이 열처리는 보톤 600.deg. C 이 상의 고온에서 실현되기 때문에 열처리과정에서 템퍼링(tempering)효과로 인한 HAZ의 열화가 때때로 발생하고 있어서 용접 시공상 문제로 되고 있다. 또한 PWHT시에는 가 열중이나 냉각중에도 열처리효과가 진행되고 있다고 볼 수 있으므로, PWHT가열속도는 기계적 성질의 개선이라는 이유외에 경제적 측면에서도 중요시 된다. 특히 용접조직 의 포화는 파괴의 양식에 직접반영되어, 파면형태의 차로 나타나므로, 본 조직의 포화 와 관련시켜 검토하기 위하여 열처리된 HAZ를 대상으로 작용된 응력의 크기와 가열속 도가 HAZ의 파괴인성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 COD파괴인성시험과 미소경도측정, 그리고 주사전자현미경관찰을 통하여 고찰하였다.

평면변형률상태에서의 von Mises 항복기준의 특성에 관한 이론적 연구 (Analytical Study on Characteristics of von Mises Yield Criterion under Plane Strain Condition)

  • 2차원 응력조건에 대한 von Mises 항복기준의 특징을 살펴보기 위해 탄성변형률이 0이 되는 평면변형률 조건과 소성변형률증분이 0이 되는 평면변형률 조건을 고려해 보았다. 탄성변형률이 0인 평면변형률조건을 통해 얻은 항복함수와 평면응력조건에서의 항복함수는 기하학적으로 타원을 나타내는데 두 경우에 대한 기하하적 비교를 타원의 장, 단축의 길이비와 이심률의 비로 나타낼 때 단축비는 같았으나 장축비 및 이심률의 비는 포아송비의 함수로 표현되었다. 탄성변형률이 0인 평면변형률조건을 통해 얻은 von Mises 항복기준에 대하여 탄성거동을 보이는 영역은 포아송비가 커짐에 따라 넓어짐을 알 수 있었다. 소성변형률증분이 0인 평면변형률조건을 통해 관련유동법칙을 써서 항복함수를 구하였는데 기하하적으로 볼 때 평면응력조건에서의 항복함수가 타원임과는 달리 직선을 나타내었으며 평면응력조건일 때보다 탄성거동영역이 컸다.

나선근에 의한 콘크리트의 횡보강 효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Research on the Confinement Effect of Concrete Specimens with Spirals)

  • 이 연구에서는 중심 압축 하중을 받는 나선근으로 횡보강된 시험체에 대한 횡보강 효과를 실험적으로 규명하였다. 주요 변수는 콘크리트의 압축강도, 나선근의 간격과 나선근의 항복강도로서 콘크리트 압축강도는 27.2, 62.4, 81.2MPa, 나선근 간격은 120, 60, 40, 30, 25, 20mm 나선근의 항복 강도는 451,1375MPa로 하였다. 실험 결과, 동일한 나선근 체적비 및 항복 강도에서 횡보강된 콘크리트의 압축강도증가는 콘크리트의 압축강도에 관계없이 일정하였지만, 최대 응력에서의 축방향 변형도는 압축강도가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this paper, the power spectral analysis of heart rate variability(HRV) was performed to evaluate effects of orthostatic stress with head-up tiIt on autonomic nervous system(ANS) for 25 healthy male subjects(age : 24 $\pm$ 5 yr.) and a new method was proposed to assess the autonomic balance. The ECG and respiration signals were recorded at tiIt angles of $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$and $0^{\circ}$ successively for 10 minutes per each stage under the condition of frequency controlled respiration(0.25Hz). Heat rate(HR) gradually increased ils the angle increased Similarly, according to the increment of angle, normalized low frequency component(0.05-0.15Hz) gradually increased, whereas normalized high frequency component (0.20-0.30Hz) was reduce4 From these results it is speculated that orthostatic stress head-up tiLt, results in the prevalence of sympathetic tone in autonomic balance with the increment of sympathetic tone and the decrement of parasympathetic tone, which seems to meanthat autonomic nervous system plays a major role in compensating for disturbances of cardiovascular system due to it.

Evaluation of typhoon induced fatigue damage using health monitoring data for the Tsing Ma Bridge

  • This paper aims to evaluate the effect of typhoons on fatigue damage accumulation in steel decks of long-span suspension bridges. The strain-time histories at critical locations of deck sections of long-span bridges during different typhoons passing the bridge area are investigated by using on-line strain data acquired from the structural health monitoring system installed on the bridge. The fatigue damage models based on Miner's Law and Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM) are applied to calculate the increment of fatigue damage due to the action of a typhoon. Accumulated fatigue damage during the typhoon is also calculated and compared between Miner's Law and the CDM method. It is found that for the Tsing Ma Bridge case, the stress spectrum generated by a typhoon is significantly different than that generated by normal traffic and its histogram shapes can be described approximately as a Rayleigh distribution. The influence of typhoon loading on accumulative fatigue damage is more significant than that due to normal traffic loading. The increment of fatigue damage generated by hourly stress spectrum for the maximum typhoon loading may be much greater than those for normal traffic loading. It is, therefore, concluded that it is necessary to evaluate typhoon induced fatigue damage for the purpose of accurately evaluating accumulative fatigue damage for long-span bridges located within typhoon prone regions.

Seismic bearing capacity of shallow embedded strip footing on rock slopes

  • Present study computes the ultimate bearing capacity of an embedded strip footing situated on the rock slope subjected to seismic loading. Influences of embedment depth of strip footing, horizontal seismic acceleration coefficient, rock slope angle, Geological Strength Index, normalized uniaxial compressive strength of rock mass, disturbance factor, and Hoek-Brown material constant are studied in detail. To perform the analysis, the lower bound finite element limit analysis method in combination with the semidefinite programming is utilized. From the results of the present study, it can be found that the magnitude of the bearing capacity factor reduces quite substantially with an increment in the seismic loading. In addition, with the increment in slope angle, further reduction in the value of the bearing capacity factor is observed. On the other hand, with an increment in the embedment depth, an increment in the value of the bearing capacity factor is found. Stress contours are presented to describe the combined failure mechanism of the footing-rock slope system in the presence of static as well as seismic loadings for the different embedment depths.

지표면 띠하중 재하에 따른 사질토지반 지중연직응력 증가량의 Boussinesq 이론값에 대한 실험적 고찰 (An Experimental Investigation of Boussinesq's Theoretical Value of Vertical Stress Increment in Sandy Soil Mass Caused by Surface Strip Loading)

  • 정밀한 기초설계를 위하여 지중연직응력분포를 파악하는 것은 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 지표면 재하에 의한 사질토지반의 지중연직응력 증가량에 대한 Boussinesq의 이론을 고찰하기 위하여 일련의 실내모형시험을 수행하였으며 Boussinesq의 이론값을 실측값과 비교하였다. Boussinesq의 이론값은 깊이에 관계없이 기초판 하부에서는 실측값보다 작았다 기초판의 바깥부분에서는 기초폭의 1.0배의 깊이에서는 이론값은 실측값보다 컸으나 기초폭의 2.0배 및 3.0배의 깊이에서는 이론값과 실측값이 거의 비슷해지는 경향이었다. 가해진 단위면적당 하중에 대한 지중연직응력은 하중이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 이러한 경향들은 상대밀도나 기초폭에 관계없이 나타났다. Boussinesq의 이론을 이용할 때 이와 같은 결과를 감안하여 이론값을 보정하면 보다 정확한 값을 얻을 수 있을 것이다.
