각 나라별로 선호하는 이미지와 효과적으로 전달하는 방법은 다르다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 전통화장 방법과 선호하는 이미지를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 방법을 찾고자 한다. 조선시대의 고문서 중에서 백과사전 성격의 '규합총서(閨閤叢書)'는 10가지 시조를 통해 그 시대의 선호하는 눈썹을 시조형태로 표현한 '십미요(10 eyebrow poetry)'가 있다. 본 연구에서는 십미요를 적용하고 실제 모델에 제작해 문제 해결을 하고 문헌, 인터넷, 사례의 방법으로 구성되었다. 제작된 모형 자극물은 메이크업 전문가 10인과 70명 남, 녀 블라인드 길거리 실험을 진행하여 호감 및 선호도를 측정 하였다. 결과는 "Gaewon-eoaemi" 유형이 가장 좋아 보이며 이쁘고 매력적이며, 생각하는 눈썹 모양과 현재 유행하는 눈썹 모양과 가장 일치하는 유형이라고 인식 하였다. 고전에 표현되어 있는 다양한 비언어적인 방법으로 본 연구에서는 시각시를 활용하여 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 방법을 알아보았다. 본 연구는 시대별 문화의 흐름에 이해를 돕는 분야를 독료하고 디자인발상 전환에 기여하게 될 것이다.

This study aims to develop protective pants to relieve impact from falls and to present basic data for the development. The survey results are as follows; First, 45% of the respondents were in their 60s and 55% of them were in their over 70s and older. Also, 64% of them have fallen once for the past year and 36% of them have fallen twice or more. The older they were, the more there were those who have fallen twice or more. This indicated the older people has experienced more fall accidents again after a initial fall accident. Second, as per accident situations, the survey showed that fall accidents happened the most in the winter and in the afternoon (12-18 pm). Also, it happened on a street mostly and they were wearing sneakers or hiking boots when they got a hurt slipped in a front or side by missing their step in a walk. The injury areas are mostly knee and ankle. They had the bruises or a sprain in their knee and ankle mostly. The rate of bone fracture was 19.5%. Therefore, the protection area to falls in lower body is the knee. But hip and hip joint should be protected with knee as well because those are usually be broken when it is damaged. Third, approximately 80% of those who were hospitalized for treatment had surgery. Patients who had surgery were rather in their over 70s than in their 60s. The older they were, the more serious their fracture was. The period of hospital or outpatient treatment is more than three weeks in many cases. They responded their health got worse after falls. Aftereffects of accidents were physical discomfort, anxiety and medical costs. Falls to the old makes physical damage, psychological damage, which cause reduced physical activity and the increased cost of health care with economic losses. So it results on a negative impact on the life of the old. Fourth, elderly females were rarely aware of impact protective clothing and they have never purchased such clothing. For impact protective pants, the major consideration was suitable design for their body types. They liked casual style with front or side pockets and simple designs without any patterns or decorations. As per pants materials, they responded that they need functionality, activity and elasticity. Among the functional points, insulation of cloths are considered importantly, so the heat reservance of material in the impact protective pants should be considered carefully.

본 연구에서는 문화적인 요소가 응집되어 있는 북촌지역을 사례지역으로 지역의 문화가 경제적인 공간구조에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자한다. 북촌은 조선왕조의 고궁과 많은 역사적인 문화재, 전통한옥들이 남아 있고, 현대적 미술관과 박물관들이 들어서 있어 전통문화와 현대문화예술이 공존하는 곳이다. 최근 이 지역에는 문화와 직 간접적으로 연관된 경제활동들이 들어서면서 경관이 크게 변화하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 북촌 지역에 입점하고 있는 문화와 관련된 창의적 수제품을 생산하여 판매하는 소매점들이 이곳에 입지하는 이유가 이지역의 장소성과 어떻게 연관되어 있으며, 그 입지적 특징은 무엇인가를 밝혀보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 문서화된 통계자료의 활용과 함께 이곳 소매점 업주들을 상대로 한 심층면담조사를 실시하여 통계자료에 나타나지 않는 구체적인 자료를 확보하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 이곳에 입점하고 있는 창의적 소매점들이 이곳에 입점한 주 이유는 전통과 현대의 풍부한 문화적 자산을 보유하고 있는 북촌 지역의 장소성임을 확인할 수 있었다. 그들이 북촌에 소매점을 개점한 가장 큰 이유는 북촌에 내재되어 있는 문화요소와 그에 따른 경제적 가치 때문이다. 이곳에 소매점을 내고 있는 업주들은 전반적으로 고학력이며, 많은 경우 외국에서 디자인을 공부하고 돌아와 이곳에 본인의 창의적 문화상품을 제작하는 작업장을 겸하여 점포를 내고 있다. 그들이 북촌에 입점한 이유는 북촌의 장소성을 그들이 제작하는 제품의 가치 창출에 영향을 주는 문화자본으로 인식하기 때문이다. 그들은 작가주의에 입각하여 자신이 직접 디자인하여 손수 제작한 작품을 소량 생산하여 판매하는 유연적인 전문적 생산의 전형을 이룬다. 이곳에 입지하고 있는 점포에서 판매되는 대부분의 제품은 기획 생산 유통 과정이 장소와 밀접히 통합되고 있다. 이들은 초기에는 주요 통행로인 삼청동길을 따라 입점하고 확산되었으나 최근에는 통행량이 적은 이면도로인 화개길을 따라 확산되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 현재도 계속 진행 중이며, 북촌이 지니고 있던 기존의 장소성에 작가주의에 입각한 문화상품을 생산 공급하는 개성있는 상점들이 입지하여 문화와 경제가 접목된 독특한 문화경제경관을 형성해 가고 있다.

This research proposes the on-stage costumes for the play Hamlet of Shakespeare performed by Yunheedan Guhri Pae - the Street Theater Troupe. Stage costumes have an important role in displaying the characteristics of each characters to the audience and has big visual effects. However, in order to design the costumes in the object viewpoints of the audience, the survey on the images of the characters who had actually watched the performance was taken place and proposed the costume design according to the results of the survey. Hamlet a: This result was applied to propose a sweater in black color, black leather pants and vest. Hamlet b: This result was applied to propose hooded coat in purple in middle level of brightness and color spectrum and yellow coat. For free image, loose pants in blue and vest in the same color tone were proposed. Gertrude a: This result was applied to use purple (violet) with reddish tone to propose the formation of a dress applying tailored suit. Gertrude b: This result was applied to propose purple gown and the one-piece dress with black laces. Ophelia a: This result was applied to propose feminine white dress and cape in purple color tone. Ophelia b: This result was applied to propose dyed and weaved clothes. Through the surveys as above, the images of each character was driven in adjectives, and using the results driven from the brightness, coloration, and color, color images were proposed. Only one costume cannot make up for the stage costumes and because it exists as an element of stage production, it is true that costumes are limited in some areas. However, that limit can become the motive of the costume. There is a limit, which the designer cannot produce the costumes as he or she had designed but I believe it is the center of the on-stage customers to display the characteristics of the characters according to the given concept. The limit of this research is the fact that because the costumes were designed so they fit the conditions already given, thus it was difficult to regard the process of designing and producing the costume as a project done according to the interaction. And in the future, if it is possible, I wish for the joint research with the people responsible for stage art to take place as a practical stage art. It was possible to produce practical costume since they were produced for actual performance and the production of costumes considering the dance steps, line of flow, and acting, was able to reduce the trial and error on stage. Through this research, I felt that the understanding and smooth interaction on diverse other areas not limited to the costume design should be taken place and believe that this was a research that proposes new research method since there had been only a few previous research regarding the on-stage costumes for actual performances. Therefore, this research had depended on the surveys given to the audiences to endow objectivity, however, I wish this research can contribute to defining effective process and methods for the on-stage costumes with more active researches with diverse methods and in diverse areas. I am sorry that the costume production for all the characters and all the scenes in Hamlet couldn't be done due to many limitations. As the following research assignment, I am planning on designing the costumes for all the scenes.
