  • Triple junction which consists of three media(electrode, insulator, and gas) should be considered in designing of high voltage equipments due to the electric field enhancement. In this paper, positive lightning impulse breakdown voltage is predicted based on the streamer theory for simplified insulator models and 72.5kV spacer with varying the triple junction geometry and gas pressure, and the results are compared to the experimental results. The electric field coefficient concept is also applied in order to evaluate the partial discharge inception voltage and the surface flashover voltage from the streamer inception voltage. The application of this method using the constant electric field coefficient of 1.3 and 0.66 is possible for evaluating the triple-junction insulation of the simplified insulator and the 72.5kV spacer respectively. The error rate is under 10%.

  • The insulation strength between contacts after current interruption to the transient recovery voltage i.e., the dielectric recovery strength should be estimated for the evaluation of the small capacitive current interruption capability. Many authors have used theoretical and semi-experimental approaches to evaluate the transient breakdown voltage after the current interruption. Moreover, an empirical equation, which is obtained from a series of tests, has been used to estimated the dielectric recovery strength. Un this paper, the theoretical method which is generated from the streamer theory has been applied to real circuit breakers in order to evaluated the interruption capability. The results of analysis have been compared with the test results and the reliability has been investigated.

  • To analyze the small current interruption performance for the gas circuit breakers, the gas density and electric field intensity should be calculated. In this paper, the FVFLIC method is used for the gas flow analysis and the FEM for the electric field analysis. Then, the dielectric withstanding voltage is evaluated by the empirical formulation or Streamer theory. By comparing the calculated dielectric strength with the test result, it is found that both methods show good prediction capability for the small current interruption performance. Especially, when both methods predict the same interrupting performance, the prediction is in accordance with the experimental result.

  • Purpose: Market competition in the fashion industry is intensifying, pushing brands to strive for consumer preference and market leadership. Mobile fashion applications have emerged as key distribution channels, with live streaming being a common feature for product distribution and consumer loyalty. Therefore, this study will analyze the loyalty model in live streaming on mobile fashion applications by integrating the quality loyalty model, parasocial relationships, and uses and gratifications (U&G) theory. Research design, data and methodology: Data were collected from a survey of 427 respondents who are customers of a fashion product that had been purchased through live streaming on a mobile fashion application and processed using the PLS-SEM method Results: The results of the study show that the live streamer and product quality significantly influence satisfaction and loyalty. Conversely, AR content and live streaming content do not directly influence loyalty but have an indirect effect through satisfaction Conclusions: this study is the first to model loyalty in mobile fashion applications by integrating the quality loyalty model, parasocial relationship, and U&G theory. Practically, fashion companies are advised to conduct live streaming by considering aspects of content, live streamer, and product quality to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Three most popular information services, Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow, vicarious for all Social Live-Streaming Services (SLSSs), are investigated to analyze their streamers' motivations and the user-generated content. Additionally, we collected demographic data (gender and age). More than 7,500 streams by users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan were observed. Main streamer motivations on SLSSs are boredom, socializing, the need to reach a specific group, the need to communicate, and fun. Important content categories on all three SLSSs are chatting, sharing information, 24/7, and 'slice of life.' We were able to identify differences between users from the U.S., Germany, and Japan as well as between the users of Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow. The main motive to stream in the U.S. is to reach a specific group, while in Japan it is socializing, and in Germany boredom. The top content category for both, YouNow as well as Periscope, is to chat; on Ustream it is 24/7 (i.e., webcams).

  • This study examined the impact of the social features (identification, interaction, information value) and technical features (visibility affordance, metavoicing affordance, social connecting affordance) in live commerce on consumers' attachment, which in turn affects consumers' continued intent to watch live commerce and intent to purchase from the platform. Consumers' attachment was represented by emotional attachment to the live shopping streamer and functional dependence on live commerce. Furthermore, this study investigated the effect of attachment on continuous watching intention and purchase intention. Using a web-based survey and consumers in their 20s and 30s (average age: 30.32) as a sample, this study collected 274 usable responses. The results showed that among the live commerce social system constructs, identification and interaction positively affected emotional attachment to the live commerce streamer. Among the live commerce technical system constructs, visibility affordance and social connecting affordance positively influenced functional dependence on live commerce. Both emotional attachment to the live streamer and functional dependence on live commerce were positively related to a continued intent to watch, which influenced the intent to purchase. This study empirically investigated live commerce based on the socio-technical systems framework and confirmed that both social and technical factors have a significant effect on consumers. This study also identified the impact of live commerce on consumers' attitudes through attachment theory. In addition, it has proved the antecedents and effect of continuous watching of live commerce on purchase behavior by focusing on continuous watching intention where less attention was paid in live commerce research.

  • Emergence of new media platform had changed relationship between the broadcaster and the viewer, which used to form 'performer-audience' structure. This research has focused on the transition of 'streamer-viewer' role in single-media broadcasting, such as Youtube or Twitch, and identify how they progress group storytelling as a team. Walter Benjam and Leslie Marmon Silko's notion of 'story and storyteller' and Erving Goffman's 'social role theory' was used to define participants' role in new media broadcasting. channel, on Youtube, was selected and analyzed as example case. The domain of 'front stage' was broadened in recorded contents comparing to live streaming. The audience of live streaming is included to the front stage during the expansion. The role of streamer, game participant, and live stream contents viewer is also adjusted during the change, which leads to group-creation of the contents. Streamer plays a role of main-storyteller and suggest identity of the community. Game participants work as sub-storyteller, filling in the blank space in game storytelling and making it sophisticated. They also perform based on community's identity, which streamer has built in advance. Lastly, live steam viewers are intermittent sub-storyteller, which seldom add up the narrative. Though, their main role is to preserve identity of game broadcasting community by reacting according to community's identity. As a result, the game broadcasting narrative is developed by combining and adding up pieces of story made in different level and role of participants. The research redefine the role of viewer and storytelling method in new media, especially in single-person broadcasting. Considering the rapid shift in recent media and contents, a new approach to the streamer-veiwer role and group storytelling of this research can be one of the new method to analyze contents produced in new media, such as Youtube.

  • In order to evaluate the dielectric recovery strength for GCBs, two equations have been usually utilized. One is the empirical formula obtained from a series of tests and the other is the theoretical formula obtained from the streamer theory. In this paper, both methods were applied to predict the small capacitive current interruption capability of model circuit breakers and were investigated in terms of the reliability by comparing the simulation results with test ones.
