For effective watershed management, it is very important to select the tributaries through selection and concentration of targeted tributary catchments for improving water quality within the limited financial conditions. This study introduced the selection and diagnosis procedure of tributary catchments for improving water quality at Chungcheongnam-do based on water quality and flowrate monitoring, stream grouping method. The tributaries with high value of water quality and flowrate were selected for improving water quality according to stream grouping method. The diagnosis of selected tributaries for improving water quality was performed with analysis of the pollution load (generated, discharged, delivered) and point source discharged pollution load density. The plans for improving water quality of tributaries were suggested thorough various diagnosis of tributary catchments. For improving water quality of tributaries in Chungcheongnam-do, the tributary catchments in the Dangjin, Asan, Yesan, Cheonan, Hongseong area should be preferentially considered. The water quality improving plans for those tributary catchments, in accordance with the reduction of sources of pollution by population and livestock, should be established.
River-water quality has been greatly improved during past several decades with the extraordinary expansion for the wastewater treatment capacities by the government. Research aims to select the priority restoration streams based on the chronicle data for tributaries in Geumgang watershed as the main stream area in the Chungchungnamdo province. The quality of BOD, phosphorus and percent of sewered population on 15 branch streams were compared by the grouping methods. The results of group D streams by category I that exceed 3.0 mg/L for BOD and 0.1 mg/L for phosphorus were Seuksung, Ganggyung and Bangchuk stream. The results of group D streams by category II that exceed 3.0 mg/L for BOD and less than 63.5 % of average percent of sewered population were Ganggyung, Gilsan, Bangchuk and Seuksung stream. The final results of selected streams drawn by the chronicle data which exceeded the standard quality and lower than the average percent of sewered population were Seoksung, Gangeyung and Bangchuk stream. The pollution of rivers in the down streams were more serious than in the upper streams. Their watersheds have to be improved river water quality, especially to extend sewer systems as well as wastewater treatment facilities.

Chungcheongnam-do has been measuring the flow rate and water quality of streams in the province once a month since 2011 in order to water environment policies. Based on the results, after evaluating the coefficient of variation and the tendency of the water quality trend by using the Mann-Kendall test and Sen's Slope for each stream, the streams subject to priority introduction of Total Pollution Load Management at Tributaries were selected through the Stream Grouping Method. The water quality trend analysis results for 125 streams using the Mann-Kendall test and Sen's Slope were evaluated as streams showing a tendency of deteriorating water quality Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD): 13 streams, Total Phosphorus (T-P): 16 streams). Streams with deteriorating water quality were classified into A-D groups using the Stream Grouping Method. Group A, which has a high flow rate and high water quality, is a stream that requires priority management, and was selected as a stream for introduction of Total Pollution Load Management at Tributaries. There are 7 streams that need to be introduced into the BOD category, and there are 7 streams that need to be introduced into the T-P category. In this study, based on flow and water quality monitoring data accumulated over a long period of time (2011-2022), statistical techniques are used to select watersheds in which water quality is deteriorating. Accordingly, it is expected that it will be useful in establishing a water quality improvement plan in the future.
The grouping analysis is a method guided by the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency for efficient analysis of radioactive waste for disposal. In this study, experiments to verify the adequacy of grouping analysis were conducted with radioactive soil, concrete, and dry active waste in similar environments. First, analysis results of the major radionuclide concentrations in individual waste samples were reviewed to evaluate whether wastes from similar environments correspond to a single waste stream. As a result, the soil and concrete waste were identified as a single waste stream because the distribution range of radionuclide concentrations was "within a factor of 10", the range that meet the criterion of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a single waste stream. On the other hand, the dry active waste was judged to correspond to distinct waste streams. Second, after analyzing the composite samples prepared by grouping the individual samples, the population means of the values of "composite sample analysis results/individual sample analysis results" were estimated at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that all evaluation values for soil and concrete waste were within the set reference values (0.1-10) when five-package and ten-package grouping analyses were conducted, verifying the adequacy of the grouping analysis.

This study was carried out to apply the method of priority order selection for water quality improvement of watershed. The monitoring of flow and water quality, grouping branch streams and discharge load density were estimated on 18 branch streams located in middle and lower area of Geum River, Chungcheongnam-do. Based on average BOD concentration of stream at low flow, the results of the water quality analysis of stream which excess river living standard class 2 (less than BOD 3 mg/L) are Jeongancheon, Bangchukcheon, Gilsancheon, Jocheon, Seokseongcheon and Ganggyeongcheon. As a result of grouping stream, stream that have more than $10\;m^3/min$ of flow and more than 3.0 mg/L of average BOD concentration such as Group A are Jocheon, Seokseongcheon, Ganggyeongcheon and Jeongancheon. In Group A, stream corresponds to over than discharge load density as of 10 BOD kg/$day{\cdot}km^2$ is Jocheon, Seokseongcheon and Ganggyeongcheon. In view of the selected results to improve water quality basin through monitoring of flow and water quality, grouping stream, and estimation of discharge load density, Jocheon in Yeongi, Seokseongcheon located on the border of Buyeo and Nonsan, Ganggyeongcheon on Nonsan such as stream basin were urgent to improve water quality.

As the interests on RFID technologies increase, a lot of research activities on RFID middleware systems to handle the data acquired by RFID readers are going on actively. Meanwhile, even though various kinds of RFID middleware methodologies and related techniques have been proposed, the common data type which is dealt with in those systems is an EPC code, mainly. Also, there are few researches of the implementation of collecting the stream data queued from RFID readers endlessly and without blocking, classifying the data into some groups according to usage, and sending the resulting data to specific applications. In this paper, we propose the method of data handling in RFID middleware to efficiently process an EPC event stream data using detail filtering, checking of data modification, creation of data set to transfer, data grouping, and various kinds of RFID data format transform. Our method is based on a de facto international standard interface defined in the ALE middleware specification by EPCglobal, and application and service users can directly set various kinds of conditions to handle the stream data.

The major 24 tributaries in Nam-River mid-watershed were monitored for discharge and water quality in order to understand the characteristics of the watershed and to select the tributary catchment for improving water quality. According to the analytical results of discharge and water quality monitoring data of 24 tributaries, the mean value of discharge below $0.1m^3/s$ was 62.5% among the monitored tributaries and it mostly exceeded the water quality standards of Nam-river mid-watershed ($BOD_5$ = 3 mg/L, T-P = 0.1 mg/L over). According to the stream grouping method and the water quality delivery load density ($kg/day/km^2$) based on the results of tributary discharge and water quality monitoring, the tributary watersheds for improving the water quality were selected. In the Nam-River mid-watershed, tributaries in the GaJwaCheon, HaChonCheon catchment (Group D, $BOD_5$ = 3 mg/L over) and in the UirYeongCheon, SeokGyoCheon catchment (Group A, T-P = 0.1 mg/L over), which have a small flow (and/or large flow) and a high concentrations of water pollutants. The various water quality improving scheme for tributaries, in accordance with the reduction of potential point source pollution by living sewage and livestock wastewater, should be established and implemented.

In this study, the major 38 tributaries in Nakdong River were monitored for flow rate and water quality in order to understand the characteristics of the watershed and to find improvement plan. The flow rate and water quality for each target tributary were evaluated based on the monitoring data in 2013~2014 using a statistical package SPSS-22.0. In addition, the tributary grouping method was conducted using a $BOD_5$ concentration/flowrate and TP concentration/flowrate monitoring data. The average values of $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, TP and TOC concentrations in Gumicheon, Gyeonghocheon, Jincheoncheon, Gisegokcheon, Yonghacheon and Yonghocheon located at Nakdong Waegwan and Nakdong Goryung watershed were high and in the grade of III or IV (5~8 mg/L). The Pearson correlation coefficients of TOC with $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, and TP were greater (r=0.8, p<0.01) than those of the other water quality parameters (12 species). The tributaries with high values of water quality parameters ($BOD_5$ > 3.0 mg/L, TP > 0.1 mg/L) and flowrate (Q > $0.1m^3/sec$) were selected for improving water quality according to the stream grouping method. Five tributaries (Gumicheon, Gisegokcheon, Yonghacheon, Yeongsancheon, Mijeoncheon and Yonghocheon) were classified as Group I, which require polices and plans for water quality improvement.

In an environment of home network where a number of technologies including heterogeneous hardware platforms, networking and protocols, middleware systems, and etc, exist, OSGi provides a platform for deployment and sharing of services managed in hardware and guarantees compatibility among applications. However, only simple control and processing of event data are considered in a home network using OSGi, and the consideration about real time processing of data stream generated by sensors is not enough. Therefore, researches allowing users to effectively develop OSGi applications by using various kinds of sensors generating data streams in the home network environment using OSGi are needed. In this paper, we propose an effective method of processing various types of real time data streams supplied to OSGi applications, including filtering, grouping, and counting, etc.

The tributary water quality and flowrate monitoring result, which is fundamental data for the establishment of the water environmental policy, is used as very important data for the implementation of TMDL. This study introduced how to use the tributary water quality and flowrate monitoring data for the analysis of the watersheds, the satisfactory assessment of water quality standards in the watersheds, the selection of watersheds for the establishment of the implementation plan, and the selection of the tributary catchments for improving the water quality using a stream grouping method. According to the analytical results of tributary catchment using water quality and flowrate monitoring data of thirty-seven tributaries in the Geum-River watershed at Chungcheongnam-do, the value of flowrate in the tributaries, which is located in the middle-lower Geum-River watershed, was greater than the other areas and the concentration of the water pollutants regardless of water quality parameters in the tributaries at Nonsancheon catchment was relatively higher than the other areas. The problems, which have the determination of satisfaction of water quality standards and selection of target watersheds for establishment of the implementation plan regardless of the water quality of tributary in the watershed due to the water quality and flowrate monitoring results of the main river, were improved use of the results of tributary water quality and flowrate monitoring. Also, the tributary catchments for improving the water quality, according to stream grouping method based on the results of tributary water quality and flowrate monitoring, were selected. In the Geum-River watershed at Chungcheongnam-do, the tributary in the Nonsancheon, Byeongcheoncheon, Seokseongcheon, Jocheon catchments, which has a large flow and a high concentration of water pollutants, should be preferentially selected for improving the water quality of the tributary in accordance with the reduction of the source of pollution.
