  • IT governance is an integral part of enterprise governance and consists of the leadership, organizational structures, and processes that ensure organization's IT decision making for achieving organizational goal. Most firms have failed to resolve the balance in building IT governance. The challenge is to align IT strategy with business strategy in establishing and implementing effective IT governance. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between IT governance implementation factors and IS effectiveness, and the moderating effect of strategic alignment of IS strategy with business strategy on IS effectiveness. IT governance implementation factors consist of IT vendor management, IT human resource management, and IT infrastructure. Strategic alignment was measured as the alignment between business strategic orientation and IS strategic orientation that used in the research of Chan et al.(1997). In the relationship between three IT governance implementation factors and IS effectiveness, the results of multiple regression analyses showed that IT human resource management is an important determinant to influence IS effectiveness. The additional analysis using multiple regression showed that strategic alignment of IS strategy with business strategy has moderated the relationship between IT governance implementation factors and IS effectiveness.

  • This article analyzes factors affecting the application of strategic management accounting in different enterprises in Vietnam's consumer goods industry, providing more empirical evidence on factors affecting the application of strategic management accounting. The research method used a questionnaire survey of managers at all levels, chief accountants, and accountants from 72 consumer goods enterprises in Vietnam. The survey results collected 290 questionnaires, however, due to invalid questionnaires with many blank cells, 284 questionnaires were finally selected. Quantitative research was carried out with SPSS 25 software. Research results show that 6 factors have a positive influence on the application of strategic management accounting including awareness of the business market, business strategy, technology, corporate culture, qualification of management accountants, decentralization of management, in which technology has the strongest influence on the application of strategic management accounting in consumer goods enterprises in Vietnam. The standardized Beta coefficient extracted from the multiple linear regression equation reveals that the technology factor has a high standardized Beta coefficient (0.176) compared to other factors. Based on the research results, the author has proposed recommendations to improve the ability of consumer goods businesses to successfully apply strategic management accounting techniques, thereby contributing to improving competitiveness and performance of consumer goods enterprises.

Strategic management requires reliable information and analytical support in the form of sound descriptions of strategic directions of development, assumptions, and forecasts. The purpose of the study is to substantiate and elaborate the crucial causes in the strategic management of university's development and to suggest the coherent prospects for advancements. The data analysis was performed using descriptive methods to identify the most significant causes that affect the university's strategic development; the expert assessment was used to rank the factors, ultimately to assess each factor that affects to some extent the university's strategic development; the abstract-logical method was used to ground the positive impact of computer technologies and e-learning on the strategic development of a university and to formulate proposals for its further progress. The main results provided in the given paper showed that significant and most important strategic cause of university's development lies in the field of improving the quality of education, expanding access to educational services based on computer technology and its functionality. In turn, its widespread use at all stages of the educational process allows providing a number of advancements for universities in strategic prospects.

The hard and soft HR bundles are the two sets of the same continuum that describes the strategic approach of the HR system. The purpose of this study is to identify the hard and soft HRM practices from the literature and then empirically test them with the help of factor analysis. The study is conducted on the service industry employees in India. The survey includes the employees from the middle and top-level executives of the service firms. The sample size for the study is 160. Principal component analysis with VARIMAX rotation and Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to obtain the results. The data analysis was done on SPSS V.20 and AMOS V.22. The results provide knowledge of the HR practices under the hard and soft HRM bundles implemented in the service industry.

  • In recent years, shipping and ports industries are faced with enormous changes like globalization, market liberalization and borderless businesses. To cope with this competitive environment, a certain form of cooperation among ports is necessary to provide high quality of services and lower costs to establish their market power against shipping companies. The purpose of this study is to identify the motivation of the strategic alliances between ports and demonstrate the level of importance using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Among four motivations of the strategic alliances which are strategic motivation, economic motivation, operational motivation and marketing motivation, economic motivation is the most important factor for ports alliances than other factors. This is because economic motivation among strategic alliances allow ports in the same market to rationalize supply and demand, thus avoiding unnecessary over-supply and over-competition and also can reduce service costs by using comparative advantages of each partner which make costs cheaper.

  • Purpose: Previous research has found that organizational performance pressures and barriers have an effect on the long-term viability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Furthermore, MSMEs' intellectual capital and strategic orientation, according to recent research findings, have an impact on this. The goal of this study is to see how intellectual capital and strategic orientation affect MSMEs' performance. Research design, data and methodology: The performance of MSMEs is the dependent variable, with intellectual capital, market orientation, learning orientation, and technical orientation as independent factors. With a sample size of 113 respondents, this research focused on information technology-based MSMEs in Indonesia's Solo Raya area. Data was analyzed use Confirmatory Factor Analysis for the reliability test and path analysis SEM. Results: The interaction between intellectual capital and strategic orientation in respect to MSMEs' performance reveals that innovation capability serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between intellectual capital and technical orientation and organization performance. Conclusions: In general, intellectual capital and strategic orientation have a positive substantial influence on innovation, according to the findings. Furthermore, they have a considerable favorable influence on the performance of MSMEs. It's just that intellectual capital has no discernible impact on knowledge sharing.
