  • Purchasing should be considered as an exciting entertainment by itself in these days. Customers can be satisfied with making their own choices and dreaming of their better lives through the action of buying,. However the customers are not rushing into stores without any special reason except when the store has something attracts them. Generally speaking the customers will willingly spend their time and effort in shopping only when they are attracted by well-displyed goods and reasonably planned layout. Based upon these concepts interior design as a creative marketing tool plays a great role in enhancing customer's circulation and the productivity of a store. This study is to propose the layouts which are increasing the customer's circulation by contacting the customers with commodities as many as possible. This study is primarily revolved around the parts affecting customer's circulation among the factors of store's layouts. This study was consist of theoretical consideration about the store's layouts on the foundation of conference and existing works and several proposals. The results of this research are as below: 1) The entrance and exit of a retail store should be apart from each other to increase customers' circulation. It is regarded as ideal to locate the entrance on the right side of front to control moving line of customers. 2) A shop should be surrounded with the main aisles which is straightened inward from the main entrance. 3) Placing magnets which can be anything that attracts customers' attention at the corner of store can lead customers inward and increase customers' circulation.

  • In Indonesia, coffee shops, commonly called warung or kedai shops, have begun to appear amid society from remote villages to urban centers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the effect of cafe atmosphere (i.e., exterior, interior, interior point-of-purchase displays and store layout) on the purchase decision of Generation Z. This study is conducted because of cafe competition is currently overgrowing. This study model consisted of five variables: exterior, interior, interior point-of-purchase displays, store layout, and purchase decision. Sampling in this study used non-probability, with a purposive sampling technique. According to predetermined criteria, the data collection technique employed a questionnaire distributed online to consumers had visited a cafe at least once in the last three months. This study's sample was 137 cafe visitors in Yogyakarta, representing one of the big cities in Indonesia. Therefore, the data was analyzed by using multiple regression. The results of the study indicated that the exterior and interior had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decision. Likewise, interior point-of-purchase displays and store layout positively and significantly affected purchase decision. In addition, this study's findings generally concluded that the cafe atmosphere had a positive and significant effect on purchase decision.

  • Most recent mobile devices can store a massive amount of images. However, the typical user interface of mobile devices, such as a small-size 2D display and discrete-input buttons, make the browsing and manipulation of images cumbersome and time-consuming. As an alternative, we adopt motion-based interaction along with a 3D layout of images, expecting such an intuitive and natural interaction may facilitate the tasks. We designed and implemented a motion-based interaction scheme for image browsing using an ultra mobile PC, and evaluated and compared its usability to that of the traditional button-based interaction. The effects of data layouts (tiled and fisheye cylindrical layouts) were also investigated to see whether they can enhance the effectiveness of the motion based interaction.

  • One of the deep-running algorithms, CNN's artificial intelligence application uses off-chip memory to store data on the Convolution Layer. DMA can reduce processor load at every data transfer. It can also reduce application performance degradation by varying the order in which data from the Convolution layer is transmitted to the global buffer of the accelerator. For basic layouts with continuous memory addresses, SG-DMA showed about 3.4 times performance improvement in pre-setting DMA compared to using ordinaly DMA, and for Ideal layouts with discontinuous memory addresses, the ordinal DMA was about 1396 cycles faster than SG-DMA. Experiments have shown that a combination of memory data layout and DMA can reduce the DMA preset load by about 86 percent.

  • This study would analyze visual components in the best seller cover design in 2017. The visual components were classified through a preliminary review with editorial design experts, and the top 20 best sellers at the Kyobo Book Centre, which recorded the top rank in sales in 2017 were selected as the subjects of the study. The subjects of the survey were 50 graduates from the design-related departments, who could judge the components, and the following results were drawn as an analysis. First, most layouts were a comparison type, and The Temperature of Language took the highest position at 45.5%. Second, in the typography, having a correlation with the section, most were composed of a Serif, and 'Sapiens' took the highest position at 92.5%. Third, the image is concerned with the illustration, in which The Miracles of the Namiya General Store took the highest position at 93.2%. These visual components of the cover design act as an important factor in choosing books for readers who first encounter the books. Thus, it would be necessary to continue to conduct studies of visual components in best sellers, and hopefully, this study would be helpful for the development of the publication market as it is utilized in the marketing field based on these studies.
