Currently, the use of the subway system as a public transportation has been an increasing demand due to the complex transportation structure in Korea. The subway system provides on time arrival and departure, relatively comfortable riding, and convenient access in the metropolitan area. Among several areas of the operation of the subway system, the safety of subway vehicle itself is of important because the rolling stocks carry the passengers, and the safety and reliability of rolling stocks are directly affected for the safety of subway passengers. In this research, various advanced engineering analysis techniques for the precision diagnosis assessment of subway EMUs have been introduced and the diagnosis assessment results have been used to provide the critical information for the lifetime assessment of EMUs.

Recently, the companies can't avoid the change toward the jobbing production from mass production because manufacturing types are changed from manufacturing-oriented to customer-oriented for the security of competitive power among the related companies. The jobbing production system usually has such problems as low productivity, high unit cost, much stocks, long manufacturing time and one-sided decision of delivery date compared with the mass production. In order to settle these problems in the jobbing production system, we introduced the JIT production system including 3 regulations & 6S activities and Kanban system etc. The effective operation of JIT production system makes the processes efficiently and reduces the unneeded stocks and maximizes the revenue of company.

This paper deals with the topical problems of the Life Cycle Costs in connection with the rolling stocks. the LCC philosophy has already entered the third decade. this philosophy contributed towards the new relationship's comprehension between railway vehicle producers' and railway vehicle users' sphere. this leads together to the technical-economical solution convenient for the both sides. In the point of manufacturer, It is said that low operational costs could be reached using a well-designed and structured maintenance program. this is due to the proper technical analysis of critical components that leads to low costs of maintenance and a superior reliability without increasing the capital investment. but, This paper presents both topical experiences with the LCC models for the railways vehicles and also procedures during Life Cycle Costs calculations. In conclusion I want to introduce how to calculate LCC & what kinds of softwares are used based on VVVF EMU vehicle

It is an hot issue to reduce vibration for improving quality, reliability and safety in railway vehicles including magnetic levitation, monorail way, surface car etc. This paper aims at literature survey in rolling stocks vibration standards Initially, it has been evaluated by researching and analysing of foreign standards to judge wheather or not the standards being applied in domestic are reansonable and scientific. After that we are proposing the standards of vibration after comparing and analysing the ones in domestic and foreign.

The community of phyloplankton and water quality were Investigated 5 times from October, 1994 to October, 1995 In the east area of Chinhae Bay. Seasonal changes of enoronmental parameters were shown general pattern and related to the red tide mechanism of phytoplankton community. Seasonal variations of dissolved oxygen concentrations were affected by the photosynthetic activity of phytoplankton community and the Increase of COD at the bottom water was occurred after the red tide. The standing stocks of phytoplankton In this study area ranged 202 - 1616 Cells . ml-1 and the bloom(red tide) was formed from April to July. The diatom species, Skeletonema costahm was a dominant species all the year round and the dinoflagellate species, Alexandrium tmuense and prorocentrum triestinum were red tide species Increased standing stocks in phytoplankton bloom.

주식 시장에서 거래되고 있는 증권은 MACD(Moving Average Convergence Divergence), Stochastic 등의 보조 지표를 이용하는 기술적 분석을 통하여 매수/매도 시점을 결정한다. 주식 시장의 객관적인 자료를 통하여 분석하는 기술적 분석 방법은 주식 시장 외적인 요소를 반영하는데 있어 한계점이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 기술적 분석 방법에 기사를 종목별로 분류하고 기사의 긍정 및 부정을 판별하는 문서 분류 기법을 적용하여 주식 외적인 요소를 반영하는 시스템을 제안한다.

In this paper, an engineering database management system(EDMS) has been developed to support the system engineering for design of the high speed titling train to be put into the conventional lines. The developed system can be operated on client-server or web circumstances. To accomplish the concurrent engineering in design of the rolling stocks, this system has been fully equipped with a powerful viewer and a postprocessor for 3D CAD data or FE results. The system was tested using the engineering data produced during carrying out the G7 project to design KHST(Korean High Speed Train) in a crashworthy viewpoint. Through this example, it is shown that the system should be powerfully applied to improving the performance of the system engineering.

Of those off-road diesel engines, the railroad diesel rolling stocks (RDRS) for passenger and freight transportation become a growing issue since they are emitting enormous amounts of various air pollutants. Furthermore, up to the present time, emissions from these sources are not well controlled. One of main purposes in this study is to develop emission factors for the RDRS and to estimate a total amount of major air pollutants from the RDRS in Korea. Prior to develop a Korean mode emission factor, the emission factor from the USEPA was simply applied for comparative studies. As a conclusion, based on the emissions calculated from both the USEPA mode and the KoRail mode, the RDRS is considered as one of significant mobile sources of major air pollutants including NOx and CO, and thus management plans and control strategies for the RDRS must be established to improve air quality near. future in Korea.

In this paper, we study the relationship between the U.S. daily stock returns and the corresponding Korean returns. More specifically, we examine whether the previously realized U.S. stock returns would help predict the current Korean returns. We find that for dose-to-close daily stock returns, the U.S. returns would help predict the Korean returns. However, for open-to-close stock returns, the U.S. intraday stock returns would not help predict the corresponding Korean returns. After distinguishing investors by their nationality and types, we then examine whether there is a relationship between investors' net purchase of Korean stocks and the previous days' U.S. stock returns. We find that the amount of international investors' net purchase of Korean stocks today would vary significantly with the previous days' U.S. stock returns. The Korean individual investors and the Korean investment trust companies, however, would follow the opposite investment pattern.
