This paper makes an attempt to compare the two important methods for finding solutions of multi-item inventory problem with more than one conflicting objectives. Panda et al.[9] discusses a distance-based method to find the best possible compromise solution with variation of priority under the given weight structure. In this paper, the problem in [9] is revisited through the Pareto-optimal front of genetic algorithm with the help of a situation of retail stocking of FMCG business. The advantages of using the solutions from the perspective of the decision maker obtained through multi-objective optimization are highlighted in terms of population search, weighted goals and priority structure, cost, set of compromise solutions along with prevention of stock-out situation.

This study aims to make detail examination of smallholder dairy farming systems in the Nongpho Dairy Cooperative. Forty-three dairy farms were selected from three geographical areas i.e. irrigated area, municipality area, and factory area. Within each area some number of sample farms were selected from each of the three levels of farm and animal crowdedness (very crowded, crowded, and not crowded farms). Detail data were collected during 1996 to 1997, they were socio-economic conditions of the sample farms and farmers, dairy production systems and management of resources (animals, bam, feeds, stocking rates, herd structure, animal body conditions, milk yield and milk quality, manure and farm wastes management, and other related items). Detail information useful for the improvement of farm production efficiency were discussed. It was very clear that much improvement of smallholder dairy production can be achieved if the recommendations given by this study were implemented.

The purpose of this study was to investigate to wearing practices and consumer needs for stockings. 503 subjects were surveyed in 2002. Data were analyzed by frequency, $\chi$$^2$, ANONA(LSD) and factor analysis. The results were as follows; 1) Many subjects considered the colors, but a very few of them considered the components and handling signs when purchase their stockings. These tendencies show meaningful differences according to their ages, jobs and the status of whether they are married or single. The wearing rates of stockings show differences according to their physical characteristics and social demographical variables. 2) They demand that the exact fiber contents and the mixture ratios which the stockings have should be indicated, and also want the sizes of the stockings to be indicated by three steps according to their body sizes, and they ask that the stockings have more various colors. They required that the stockings should have good ventilation, durability, warmth-keeping, hygroscopicity and elasticity in leg parts, and anti static electricity or bacteria.

Objectives: This study was performed to characterize edema of the lower extremities that occurs among hygienists during working hours, and to determine the effects of the use of elastic compression stockings. Methods: The study subjects were 40 dental hygienists working at a dental hospital in Daegu. Symptoms of edema of the lower extremities during working hours were characterized by measurement of calf and ankle circumference. Results: Calf and ankle circumference increased during working hours. The use of elastic compression stockings reduced edema of the lower extremities during working hours. Conclusions: Use of elastic compression stockings can reduce levels of lower extremity edema among dental hygienists.

현재 표준화가 진행중인 SVC(Scalable Video Codec)에는 기존의 FGS방법이 아닌 Cyclic-FGS를 사용하여 영상을 강화하고 있다. 이 Cyclic-FGS 블록간에 Stocking Effect를 줄일 수 있고 넓은 영역을 강화할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 하지만 널은 영역을 강화하기 때문에 기존의 FGS와 달리 ROI를 강화하는데는 적합하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Cyclic-FGS에 적합한 새로운 Ordering 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 사용하면 기존의 FGS에서 사용한 Bit-shift방법을 사용하지 않고도 비슷한 효과를 낼 수 있으며, 우리가 원하는 ROI를 강화시킬 수 있다. ROI를 중점적으로 강화를 하다 보면 전체 영상에 대한 화질은 떨어질 수 있다. 그러나 두 가지 모드를 두어서 중점강화 또는 전체영상과 비교해 화질열화가 거의 없는 강화를 할 수 있게 하였다.

A study is for the approach that we could reduce the logistics costs through uprising the efficiency, complying to the demand in time, stock management based on the general production plan in the point of SCM. We will take following steps to get the goal. First, we will overview the physical distribution expenses annually. Second, will find the main cause of optimal load loss by improper container and lack of delivery flexibility to the demand. Third, the goal will be inferred through the fast information share based on organic relationship, the establishment of general production plan, the improvement of stock management plan. By way of this process, it can be accomplished expense reduction as well as flexible establishment of the reduction of worker's load.

Because land based aquaculture is restricted by high investment per rearing volume and control cost, good management planning is important in Land-based aquaculture system case. In this paper master production planning was made to decide the number of rearing, production schedule and efficient allocation of water resources considering biological and economic condition. The purpose of this article is to build the mathematical decision making model that finds the value of decision variable to maximize profit under the constraints. Stocking and harvesting decisions that are made by master production planning are affected by the price system, feed cost, labour cost, power cost and investment cost. To solve the proposed mathematical model, heuristic search algorithm is proposed. The model Input variables are (1) the fish price (2) the fish growth rate (3) critical standing corp (4) labour cost (5) power cost (6) feed coefficient (7) fixed cost. The model outputs are (1) number of rearing fish (2) sales price (3) efficient allocation of water pool.

This paper presents a decision model that will estimate the expected number of failed units in a repair facility in accordance with the varying demand, and determine the required number of personnel for repairing components. The demand is related to the failure process which follows a reliability growth phenomenon in service. The information in this paper is useful for selecting appropriate scheduling rules and spares stocking policies. SIMAN and FORTRAN were used for computing the time dependent performance measures in the repair facility. The numerical integration method that is presented in this paper will provide accurate performance measures with any dynamic pattern of demand, service rates, and any number of servers.

This paper deals with the design rule and performance results of the transient voltage blocking devices (TBD) for low-voltage mains on shipboard. The proposed TBD consists of metal oxide varistors (MOV) and L-C filter to improve noise-elimination performance. Three kinds of TBDs are fabricated and tested by using a combination surge generator which can produce the standard impulse current of 8/20${\mu}$s 2.1kA. As a reults, the proposed TBD with series L-C filter has more excellent transient blocking and noise reduction performance than the conventional TBDs.
