  • Stick-PC is small and portable, So it can be used like a desktop if you connect it to a display device such as a monitor or TV anytime and anywhere. Accordingly, Stick-PC can related to various crimes, and various evidence may remain. Stick-PC uses the same Windows version of the operating system as the regular Desktop, the artifacts to be analyzed are the same. However, unlike the Desktop, it can be used as a meaningful information for forensic investigation if it is possible to identify the actual user and trace the usage by finding the traces of peripheral devices before analyzing the system due to the mobility. In this paper, We presents a method of collecting images using Bootable OS, which is one of the image collection methods of Stick-PC. In addition, we show how to analyze the trace of peripheral connection and network connection trace such as Display, Bluetooth through the registry and event log, and suggest the application method from the forensic point of view through experimental scenario.

Study on the reduction of stick-slip noise in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene-based plastics using non-polar additives to reduce friction (마찰 저감을 위한 비극성 첨가제에 따른 acrylonitrile butadiene styrene계 플라스틱의 stick-slip 이음 저감 연구)

  • Recently, the electric vehicle market is gradually growing due to strengthened environmental regulations and high oil prices. also, in internal combustion engine vehicles, the sensitivity of Buzz, Squeak, Rattle (BSR) noise is increasing as engine Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH)-related noise is reduced and technology for shielding noise coming from outside is developed. In this study, the stick-slip noise that occurs in Panoramic Curved Display (PCD) of automobile was analyzed for the correlation between the surface energy of polymer plastic and the polar component. For polar polymer materials, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and PolyCarbonate-Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC-ABS), compound materials were fabricated and evaluated. As a result, when the polar component of the polymer plastic was 3.86 mN/m or higher, stick-slip motion occurred, and as the absolute transition slope increased in the friction behavior over time, the possibility of stick-slip noise increased and the value of the friction coefficient The greater the difference, the greater the strength of the stick-slip noise.

Communications System between Android Platform and PC for the Visually Impaired Person (시각 장애인을 위한 Android Platform과 PC간의 1:1 통신 구현)

  • The current Navigation System for the Visually Impaired Person has a short and limited communication distance and can't receive enough information from Visually Impaired Person to assist directly. In addition, because the path is dangerous and incomplete for the Visually Impaired Person, moving with White Stick is still inconvenient and dangerous. To solve this problem we implement communication that can send and receive video, voice, location information between the Visually Impaired Person's Android platform and assistant's PC.

A Study on Needle Stick Injuries in Health Professionals (의료인의 바늘자상 실태에 관한 연구)

  • Needle stick injury, in which blood-borne pathogens including Human Immune-Deficiency virus and hepatitis B virus are transmitted, is one of the major occupational hazards that health professionals face everyday. In order to provide basic data for the development of educational programs for health professionals aimed at preventing and effectively managing needle stick injuries, a retrospective descriptive study was carried out .The subjects of the study were 630 health professionals, 499 nurses and 131 physicians, from two university hospitals in Seoul, Korea. Data on episodes of needle stick experiences over the past is months September 1994 through August 1995, were collected between September 1 and 7, 1995. A Questionaire developed by the researcher was used. The frequencies and the percentile score for episodes of needle stick injuries were calculated using the PC-SAS program. The differences and similarities in reference to the structure, career, and specialty variables were analysed by X$^2$-tests. Results are as follows : 1. Of the sample, 521(82.7%) reported a needle stick injury, 33.4% reported 3 or more episodes of needle stick injuries. 2. The needle stick injuries occured in the following processes : process of percutaneous venepuncture for intra-venous injection and infusion(55.3%), medical examination and treatment(48.9%), per-cutaneous venepuncture for blood sampling (46.3%) and intra-muscular injection(42.2%). 3. The study showed that needle stick injuries occured before(19%), during(25%), and after (56%) client treatment. The major causes of needle stick injuries were perceived to be hastiness(82.2%) and carelessness(48.3%). Of these injuries, 91.8% occured in emergency situations. 4. Follow of care for the injury consisted of : treating the injured site immediately using disinfectants(89.7%), reviewing the clinical records of the patient involved(84.2%), immunological investigation for the status of antibodies(11.1%) and self-medication of antibiotics (10.7%). Only 16.3% of the total episodes were founded to have been reported to the administrative unit. 5. The length of clinical experience of the nurses, clinical specialty and length of clinical experience in physicians were found to have influenced the episodes of needle stick injuries ; nurses with less than 1 year and with more than 6 years of clinical experiences had significantly lower levels (X$^2$=25.04, P=.00), surgeons had significantly higher levels (X$^2$=9.89, P=.02) compared to that of internists and interns, higher(X$^2$=4.54, P=.03)than residents.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 클라이언트 서버 환경에서 해킹에 취약한 구조를 개선하고자 새로운 형태의 클라이언트 서버 환경을 제안한다. 서버 측에는 기존의 웹 서버를 클라이언트 측으로 내려서 클라이언트가 필요한 데이터 만을 전달하는 방식으로 서버에 웹 공격 자체가 이루어질 수 없는 구조를 제안한다. 이를 통해 기존의 서버가 해킹을 당해 악성코드를 유포하고 서버의 데이터를 해킹하는 문제를 완전히 차단할 수 있음은 물론 클라이언트 PC에 악성코드가 감염되어도 서버에는 여향을 미치지 않는 새로운 패러다임을 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 클라이언트 측에 USB형태의 BBS(Big Bad Stick) 하드웨어를 통하여 제안하는 환경을 검증하고 서버 측의 보안장비와의 암호화 통신을 통해 안전한 서비스가 제공됨을 증명하여 본 연구가 새로운 보안성을 갖춘 시스템임을 보인다.

  • In this paper, a self-propulsive and small concrete floor finishing trowel robot with twin trowels is proposed. Due to the small size and omni-directional moving capability, it is adequate for small space such as apartment. By adjusting the posture of trowels, it can move in any direction without wheels. We used cheap PIC processor for the cost saving design of the modules and adopted mode processors for easy operation of control stick. For the position control of the robot, we made a motion control algorithm appealing to the stepping motor driver module and the wireless communication module between the robot and PC (or control stick). In this paper, we discuss the control problem of the floor finishing robot in order to move to the right position. By comparing experimental result with simulation, we show the validity of the robot mechanism, sensors, and the control system.

  • This paper deals with the CMOS PLA Generator using CHISEL language. The program which plots a CMOS PLA alphanumeric layout automatically according to desired input functions and output functions has been developed. The program consists of procedures. These procedure are drawing a stick diagram with input data, converting any design rule, plotting a physical layout at IBM PC-AT with CIF input data. Physical layout information of dynamic CMOS PLA is stored CIF form. The CMOS PLA Generator is written in CHISEL which is layout language VLSI design tools and run on a VAX11/750 running UNIX.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the FSR sensor suit that controls walking assist device for paraplegic patients. The FSR sensor suit was to detect user's intent and patterns for walking by measuring pressure on the palm and the sole of user's foot. It consisted of four modules: sensing pressure from palm, changing modes and detecting pressure on the palm/at the wrist, sensing pressure from the soles of user's foot, and host module that transmit FSR data obtained from sensing modules to PC. Sensing modules were connected to sensing pads which detect analog signals obtained from the palm or the sole of foot. These collect signals from the target regions, convert analog signals into digital signals, and transmit the final signals to host module via zigbee modules. Finally, host modules transmit the signals to host PC via zigbee modules. The study findings showed that forces measured at the palm when using a stick reflected user's intent to walk and forces at the sole of the user's foot revealed signals detecting walking state.
