Salmonella typhimurium 에 대한 E-ball 및 상용화된 소독약품의 살균 및 소독 효능에 대한 연구 (Study on the sterilizing and disinfective effects of E-ball and commercialized disinfectants against Salmonella typhimurium)

  • Many chemical disinfectants are using to protect the foot and mouth disease (FMD) and avian influenza (AI) in Korea since 2000. This study was performed to confirm disinfective ability of commercialized chemical disinfectants and to investigate the sterilizing ability of E-ball as alterative to chemical disinfectants. 4 kinds of acidulant, 3 kinds of aldehyde, 1 kind of oxidizer and 300 g of E-ball were used in this study. Dilution rate of disinfective power of all chemical disinfectants were to 200 times. The sterilizing ability of aldehydes were better than the acidulant and oxidizer with Salmonella typhimurium. The sterilizing ability of E-ball treated solution was guessed due to the friction of E-ball deads. In the case of the friction of 2 beads of E-ball, Salmonella typhimurium was sterilizted on $1{\times}10^6/mL$ CFU in the E-ball treated solution. The E-ball treated solution had superior sterizing power compared with the chemical disinfectants in the bacteria of soil for antibacterial examination. E-ball treated solution has a possibility as the substitute of chemical disinfectants to protective the animal diseases contains FMD, AI.

전해수와 이산화염소수 세척에 따른 뽕나무 오디(Morus alba L.)의 살균효과 (Sterilization Effects on Mulberries (Morus alba L.) Washed with Electrolyzed Water and Chlorine Dioxide)

  • 본 연구에서는 수도수, 전해수, 이산화염소수 처리에 의한 오디의 저장온도 및 기간에 따른 품질 양상을 분석하였다. 오디를 수도수, 전해수와 이산화염소수 농도별 10, 50, 100, 200 ppm으로 각각 30초 동안 담금질을 한 후, 실온과 냉장에 저장하여 시간에 따른 저장성 효과를 비교하였다. 또한, 외관 품질 유지와 갈변 저해 효과를 탐색하였다. 또한, 오디 과실 표면으로부터 Enterobacter aerogenes와 Serratia marcescens의 위해미생물을 분리 동정하였다. 살균세척수를 처리한 후, 저장 온도별 시간에 따른 미생물 총 균수를 측정한 결과, 각 처리구의 미생물 살균력은 전해수와 이산화염소수가 수도수 처리보다 증가하였으며, 이산화염소수는 고농도일수록 현저하게 증가하였다. 상온에서 저장하는 처리구보다 냉장 저장한 처리구에서의 미생물 억제효과가 뛰어났다. 오디의 표면에 주사전자현미경 촬영 결과, 살균 세척수 처리구에서는 미생물이 생존하지 않았다. 효소활성을 측정한 결과, 수도수 처리구보다 살균 세척수 처리구에서 함량이 낮아졌으며, 시간이 지남에 따라 서서히 증가하였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 세척 방법 간 유사한 결과를 나타내었다. 저장일수가 증가할수록 감소하였고, 전해수와 이산화염소수 처리구의 함량이 수도수 처리보다는 낮았다. 따라서 오디의 전해수와 이산화염소수 처리는 초기의 미생물 총 균수를 감소시켜 신선도를 유지하고, 상온보다 냉장 저장에서 효과가 더 우수하였으며, 품질 유지 및 저장성 향상에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Generally, a coolant of the nuclear power plant is manufactured by electrolyzing the sea water near the plant for making the sodium hypochlorite(NaOCl), which is used for sterilizing the bacteria and the shellfishes sticking to the drains or the pumps at the outlet of the cooling system due to $8-10^{\circ}C$ warmer temperature than the inlet sea water. During manufacturing the sodium hypochlorite, the hydrogen with the high purity is also produced at the anode side of the electrolyzer. This paper describes a novel power plant system combined with the polymer electrolyte membrane(PEM) fuel cell, the wasted hydrogen from the sea water electrolyzer and the wasted heat of the nuclear power plant. The present status over the exhausted hydrogen at twenty nuclear power plants in Korea was investigated in this study, from which an available power generation is estimated. Furthermore, the economic feasibility of the PEM fuel cell power plant is also evaluated by a current regulations over the power production and exchange using a renewable energy shown in Korea Power Exchange(KRX).

淸上防風湯加味이 面포에 미치는 影響 (The Study On The Effect Of Chungsang bangpungtang and Lonicerae Flos, Coicis Semen (CBTLC) On Acnes)

  • This study was carried out to prove the effects of CBTLC on the $5{\alpha}$-reductase inhibition, the sterilizing power for Propionibactrium acnes, the cytotoxicity of human monocyte, the inhibition for prosta-glandins($PGE_2$), Interleukins(IL-$1{\beta}$) and TNF-${\alpha}$ in inflammation, and the size of Hamster ear sebaceous gland concerned with Acnes. The result were obtained as follows : 1. On the $5{\alpha}$-reductase inhibition of CBTLC in vitro, An undiluted solution of CBTLC was $71{\%}$ inhibition on $5{\alpha}$-reductase and $\frac{1}{10}$ diluted solution of CBTLC was $20{\%}$ inhibition on $5{\alpha}$-reductase. 2. On the sterilizing power for Propionibactrium acnes concerned in Acnes, an undiluted solution and $\frac{1}{10}$ diluted solution of CBTLC formed 12mm clear zone diameters. 3. CBTLC was showed the cytotoxicity of human monocyte in $0.08{\%}$ and $0.12{\%}$ of CBTLC. 4. $0.01{\%}$ and $0.04{\%}$ of CBTLC inhibited the production of prostaglandins($PGE_2$) in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. 5. $0.08{\%}$ and downward of GMHBS inhibited the production of interleukins(lL-$1{\beta}$) in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. 6. $0.08{\%}$ and $0.12{\%}$ of GMHBS inhihited the production of TNF-${\alpha}$ in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. 7. As the antiandrogenic compound, CBTLC was used in hamster ears with topical application. CBTLC was diminished slightly on the size of hamster ears sebaceous gland.

가미승마위풍탕이 면포(Acne)에 미치는 실험적 연구 (Studise on the Effects of Gami-Shengmnayuipung-tang on Acnes)

  • Objective: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Gami-Shengmayuipung-tang on acne. Methods : The effects of Gami-Shengmayuipung-tang (SYTSRG) on acne were measured by the $5\alpha-reductase$ inhibition, the sterilizing power for Propionibactrium acnes, the cytotoxicity of human monocyte, the inhibition for prostaglandins$(PGE_2)$, interleukins $(IL-l\beta)$ and $TNF-\alpha$ in inflammation, and the size of the hamtster ear sebaceous gland related to P. acnes. Results: On the $5\alpha-reductase$ inhibition of SYTSRG in vitro, an undiluted solution of SYTSRG showed $80\%$ inhibition on $5\alpha-reductase$ and 1/10 diluted solution of SYTSRG showed $40\%$ inhibition on $5\alpha-reductase$. On the sterilizing power for Propionibactrium acnes related acne, an undiluted solution and 1/10 diluted solution of SYTSRG formed $12\beta{\AE}$ clear zone diameters. SYTSRG did not show cytotoxicity of human monocyte. Concentrations of $0.01\%\;and\;0.04\%\;and\;0.08\%$ of SYTSRG inhibited the production of prostaglandins $(PGE_2)$ in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. $0.08\%$ and less of SYTSRG inhibited the production of interleukins $(IL-l\beta)$ in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. Concentrations of $0.04\%,\;0.08\%\;and\;0.12\%$ of SYTSRG inhibited the production of $TNF-\alpha$ in the human monocyte stimulated with P. acnes LPS. As the antiandrogenic compound, SYTSRG was used in hamster ears with topical application. SYTSRG diminished the size of the hamster ear sebaceous gland in males, but not in females. Conclusion: The present data suggest that SYTSRG may affect the primary stage of inflammation of acne.

전기분해수와 이산화염소수 처리 복분자(Rubus coreanus Miquel)의 살균효과 (Sterilization effect of electrolyzed water and chlorine dioxide on Rubus coreanus Miquel)

  • 본 연구에서는 수도수, 전기분해수, 이산화염소수 처리에 의한 복분자 딸기의 저장온도 및 기간에 따른 품질 변화를 분석하였다. 복분자 딸기를 수도수, 전기분해수와 이산화염소수 농도별 10, 50, 100, 200 ppm으로 각각 30초 동안 침지를 한 후, 상온과 냉장 저장하여 시간에 따른 저장성 효과를 비교하였다. 또한, 외관 품질유지와 갈변저해효과를 탐색하였다. 또한, 복분자로부터 Bacillus cereus와 Micrococcus luteus의 위해미생물을 분리 동정하였다. 살균세척수를 처리한 후 저장 온도별 시간에 따른 미생물 총균수를 측정한 결과, 각 처리구의 미생물 살균력은 전기분해수와 이산화염소수가 수도수 처리보다 증가하였으며 이산화염소수는 고농도일수록 현저하게 증가하였다. 상온에서 저장하는 구보다 냉장 저장한 구에서의 미생물 억제효과가 뛰어났다. 복분자 딸기의 표면에 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과, 전기분해수와 이산화염소수 처리구에서는 미생물이 생존하지 않았다. 효소활성을 측정한 결과, 수도수 처리구보다 살균세척수 처리구에서 함량이 낮아졌으며 시간이 지남에 따라 서서히 증가하였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 세척 방법 간 유사한 결과를 나타내었다. 저장일수가 증가할수록 감소하였고 전기분해수와 이산화염소수 처리구의 함량이 수도수 처리보다는 낮았다. 따라서, 복분자 딸기의 전기분해수와 이산화염소수 처리는 미생물 생육을 억제하면서 신선도를 유지하고 품질 유지 및 저장성 향상에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

패각분말을 이용한 살균성 메디아의 제조 및 정수기용 필터에 대한 응용 (Manufacture of Sterilizing Media with Shell Powder and It's Application to the Filter of Water Clarifier)

  • Antimicrobial powder was made by exchanging silver ion on calcined oyster shell. On the purpose of application to water clarifier, bail-type media mixed with antimicrobial powder and $0{\sim}30%$ white kaoline were made. The sterilization effect, pore size distribution and zeta potential was tested to indicate the condition for the media of water clarifier. From these tests, it was confirmed that this media have an excellent sterilization power on $G^-\;and\;G^+$ germs. As the concentration of the exchanged silver ion increased, the surface charge density of the anions on the surface of the media also increased. The surface pore size decreased with the concentration of silver ion and 20% more white kaoline ratio. Consequently, mixing ratio of white kaoline would appear to indicate the optimun condition as media have sterilization power.

중첩형 다단전극에 의한 효율적인 전해 이온수 발생 특성 (Effective Electrolytic Water Generation Characteristics by Overlapped Multi-layer Electrode)

  • Applications of electrolytic ion water generated by the oxidation-reduction have gradually been expanded due to their strong sterilizing power and a surface active force. We demonstrate the effect of the multi-layer type electrode for effective ion water generation. The multi-layer type electrode has ability to generate stronger acid and alkali water by increase of the electrode reactive area. Also power consumption efficiency enhances because the electrodes disposed in middle position of the reactive cell raise the usage rate by overlapped effect as an electrolysis electrode.

  • The use of micro bubbles in industrial fields has been increasing in the recent years., particularly micro-bubble sterilization and water purification effects. Various methods have been developed for the generation of micro-bubbles. Depending on the method of generating bubbles, the micro-bubbles can be roughly classified into saturation molding, cavitation and rotation flow types. The objective of this study was to use ventilated tube type as a method of generating micro-bubbles in order to purify large amount of water quality such as lakes and reservoirs. This method shows a difference in efficiency in which micro-bubbles are generated depending on the contact ratio of gas to liquid. The study also investigated the optimal gas liquid contact ratio by applying various orifice methods and investigated the optimum condition of micro-bubble generation by gas Based on this, a technology to develop a micro-bubble generator with a venturi type nozzle shape that has a high water purification effect was developed.

고효율 회전형 정전 나노 발전기의 기구학적 설계 (Kinematic Design of High-Efficient Rotational Triboelectric Nanogenerator)

  • A triboelectric nanogenerator is a promising energy harvester operated by the combined mechanism of electrostatic induction and contact electrification. It has attracting attention as eco-friendly and sustainable energy generators by harvesting wasting mechanical energies. However, the power generated in the natural environment is accompanied by low frequencies, so that the output power under such input conditions is normally insufficient amount for a variety of industrial applications. In this study, we introduce a non-contact rotational triboelectric nanogenerator using pedaling and gear systems (called by P-TENG), which has a mechanism that produces high power by using rack gear and pinion gear when a large force by a pedal is given. We design the system can rotate the shaft to which the rotor is connected through the conversion of vertical motion to rotational motion between the rack gear and the pinion gear. Furthermore, the system controls the one directional rotation due to the engagement rotation of the two pinion gears and the one-way needle roller bearing. The TENG with a 2 mm gap between the rotor and the stator produces about the power of 200 ㎼ and turns on 82 LEDs under the condition of 800 rpm. We expect that P-TENG can be used in a variety of applications such as operating portable electronics or sterilizing contaminated water.
