얼굴추적 카메라 구동에 사용된 스텝모터의 속도제어에 관한 연구 (A study on the speed control of the step motor for driving face-tracking camera)

  • The camera system we researched has two stepping motors for the pan and tilt operation, and the human face tracking algorithm. Recently, this kind of the camera is used in PC communication, telecommunication vision meeting and tele-lecture. This paper discusses the smooth speed control method of this camera when the face is moved to up, down, left and right direction. We used a mean shift algorithm for the face-tracking, proposed the speed control algorithm using a fuzzy logic and certified this characteristics with the experiment.

하이브리드 로켓의 추력제어를 위한 산화제 유량제어 연구 (Oxidizer Flow Rate Throttling for Thrust Control of Hybrid Rocket)

  • In this study, control of oxidizer mass flow rate and verification of control system were performed for hybrid rocket thrust control application. Oxidizer flow control system consists of ball valve and stepping motor where gaseous oxygen was used for oxidizer at feeding pressure of 10, 20 and 30 bar. According to experimental results, the oxidizer mass flow rate showed a relatively linear increment as ball valve open angle increases regardless of feeding pressure. In addition, the level of the oxidizer flow rate was kept almost constant at each sequence of flow control with ball valve during the 20 seconds of operation.

  • 이 논문은 광케이블인 optical fiber를 통해 의료용 signal을 전송 할 때 porarization obtain fiber 에서 mono mode fiber로 교체되는 지점에 integrated optic인 wave conductor를 사용하여, optical signal intensity의 maximum를 sensing 하기 위한 Algorithm Brent을 설계하고 이를 검토하였다.

  • The most recent trend on digital hearing aid is to increase the ratio of signal to noise by directivity or to develop noise reduction algorithm inside DSP IC chip. This paper designed, fabricated and tested a digital hearing aid directivity testing device in which a micro-mouse-1ike the stepping motor with a speaker rotates around an examinant. Both ears of the examinant were fixed with ITE hearing aids in order to response to receiving sound. The experimental results were compared with a boundary element method program for verification. The diameter of the directivity testing device was 2 [m] and the micro-mouse was precisely controlled by PICBASIC micro processor.

Modeling of 2D Axisymmetric Reacting Flow in Solid Rocket Motor with Preconditioning

  • A numerical scheme for solid propellant rocket has been studied using preconditioning method to research unsteady combustion processes for the double-base propellant with a converging-diverging nozzle. The Navier-Stokes equation is solved by dualtime stepping method with finite volume method. The turbulence model uses a shear stress transport modeling. The species equation follows up the method of Xinping WI, Mridul Kumar and Kenneth K. Kuo. A preconditioned algorithm is applied to solve incompressible regime inside the combustor and compressible flow at nozzle. Mass flux was evaluated using modified advective upwind splitting method. The simulated result the comparison a fully coupled implicit method and a semi implicit method in terms of accuracy and efficiency. This report shows the result of solid rocket propellant combustion.

  • 추진시스템의 추력제어를 목적으로 50 N급 PE(폴리에틸렌)-GOx(기체산소) 하이브리드 로켓을 제작하고, 기체산소의 질유량을 변화시켰다. 기초실험 결과, 기체산소의 질유량 제어를 통한 하이브리드 로켓의 추력제어 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • Micro Drills have found ever wider application. However micro drilling is a machining to integrate the difficult machinablities such as tool stiffness, position control and revolution accuracy, and is known to cost and time consuming. So, this study aimed to practice ultraminiature drilling(0.05 .phi. ) wiht simple component, if possible. System is developed as the three modules : feed drives, spindle and monitoring part. The dynamics of measured current signals from the spindle of Micro Hole Drilling machine are investigated to establish the criteria of stepfeed mechanism. Cutting experiments identify the relationship of spindle rpm, feed rate and tool life. The smaller drill diameter is, the more suitable cutting condition have to be selected because of chip packing.

40펨토초 미만 펄스폭의 고출력 파장가변 티타늄사파이어 레이저 (High power tunable Ti:sapphire laser with sub-40fs pulsewidth)

  • 근적외선 파장영역에서 시분해 분광용 레이저 광원개발을 위해 발진파장이 반사경의 파장 선폭에 의해 제한된 수십 펨토초 펄스폭의 고출력 티타늄 사파이어 레이저를 개발하였다. 한쪽 프리즘 끝에 미세 stepping-motor로 제어되는 kniff-edge slits를 사용하여 발진파장을 선택하였으며, 파장가변영역은 770nm~870nm이었고, 이 파장영역에서 얻은 펄스폭은 40 fs 미만이었다. 가장 짧은 펄스폭은 약 17 fs 이었으며 이때의 파장중심은 820nm이고 선폭은 72nm이었다. 약 5W 출력의 아르곤 레이저 여기광을 사용하여 위의 파장영역에서 얻은 평균출력은 440 mW~580 mW 이었다. 연속발진 경우와 Kerr-lens mode locking 경우의 이득매질에서의 빔의 크기를 계산하여 이득변조값 ${\lambda}=2.5{\times}10_{-8}$ W을 수치적으로 얻었고, 이로부터 Ginzberg Landau 방정식을 사용하여 40 fs 미만의 펄스폭이 발생됨을 보였다.

보행기호잇기검사: 새로운 신체 및 인지 기능에 대한 이중 과제 평가도구로서의 효용성에 대한 예비연구 (Stepping Trail Making Test: Preliminary Study for the Effectiveness of the Novel Dual Task Assessment Tool for Physical and Cognitive Functions in Elderly )

  • PURPOSE: Falls are caused by a decline in physical and cognitive function. A quantitative evaluation tool that can comprehensively evaluate motor and cognitive functions for elderly people with an impaired physical function. This study assessed the clinical application potential by confirming the correlation between the physical function tests, cognitive and the stepping trail-making test (S-TMT). METHODS: Fourteen community-dwelling older patients (65-75 years) were recruited. The study conducted cognitive function tests with the trail-making test (TMT-A, B), and physical function tests (6-minute walking test (6MWT), short physical performance battery (SPPB), and timed up and go (TUG)). The results of were analyzed using SPSS version 21.0. Descriptive statistics were used for the general characteristics of the study subjects, and the correlations between S-TMT, other functional tests were examined through Pearson's correlation analysis. The statistical significance was set to .05. RESULTS: S-TMT had a significant positive correlation with the TUG (r = .588*) and trail-making test-B (TMT-B) (r = .689*, p < .05). Furthermore, S-TMT showed a negative correlation between SPPB (r = -.397) and 6MWT (r = -.422), but it was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: S-TMT is a cognitive-gait dual-task performance evaluation tool that can be performed safely. A significant correlation was confirmed between the TUG test and the TMT-B. S-TMT is a dual-task screening tool that can evaluate both physical and cognitive functions simultaneously.

Research of Non-integeral Spatial Interpolation for Precise Identifying Soybean Location under Plastic Mulching

  • Most crop damages have been occurred by vermin(e.g., wild birds and herbivores) during the period between seeding and the cotyledon level. In this study, to minimize the damage by vermin and acquire the benefits such as protection against weeds and maintenance of water content in soil, immediately vinyl mulching after seeding was devised. Vinyl mulching has been generally covered with black color vinyl, that crop seeding locations cannot be detected by visible light range. Before punching vinyl, non-contact and non-destructive methods that can continuously determine the locations are necessary. In this study, a crop position detection method was studied that uses infrared thermal image sensor to determine the cotyledon position under vinyl mulch. The moving system for acquiring image arrays has been developed for continuously detecting crop locations under plastic mulching on the field. A sliding mechanical device was developed to move the sensor, which were arranged in the form of a linear array, perpendicular to the array using a micro-controller integrated with a stepping motor. The experiments were conducted while moving 4.00 cm/s speed of the IR sensor by the rotational speed of the stepping motor based on a digital pulse width modulation signal from the micro-controller. The acquired images were calibrated with the spatial image correlation. The collected data were processed using moving averaging on interpolation to determine the frame where the variance was the smallest in resolution units of 1.02 cm. For this study, the spline method was relatively faster than the other polynomial interpolation methods, because it has a lower maximum order of formulation when using a system such as the tridiagonal linear equation system which provided the capability of real-time processing. The temperature distribution corresponding to the distance between the crops was 10 cm, and the more clearly the leaf pattern of the crop was visually confirmed. The frequency difference was decreased, as the number of overlapped pixels was increased. Also the wave pattern of points where the crops were recognized were reduced.
