  • Robust fuzzy logic control, PID control, and sliding mode controllers are designed to control the speed of a third order linear time-invariant model of a motor. The step response performance of each controller, applied to the motor plant, is Presented. We conclude fuzzy logic control can be a useful tool for the control engineering.

  • This paper discusses the possibility of applying fuzzy logic controller in a microprocessor - based servomotor controller, such as servomotor position controller, which requires faster and more accurate response compared with other industrial processes. According to the fuzzy control rule made by tie analysis of error and error change, one Look-up table that contains various quantized step is made and appropriate initial error change is selected to the good responses.

  • The objective of this study is to develop a microcomputer-based adaptive controller for an electro hydraulic velocity control system subjected to the variation of system parameters. The step response performance of the system with the adaptive controller is investigated for the variation of the external load torque, the moment of inertia and the reference inputs, and compared with that obtained by PID controller whose gains are constant. The experimental results show that this proposed model reference adaptive controller is robust to the variation of system parameters and yield much better control performance compared with the conventionel PID controller.

  • In this paper, we implement PAMD(Positive Answering Machine Detection) for discrimination human and ARS. We are used Grunt detection, Glitch Noise detection and Tone detection for PAMD. It distinguishes voice signals from ring-back tone and glitch noise respectively. And as a second step, it judges whether human responses or ARS responses after integrating pattern changes like initial response period, the number of voice data, each time of voice data period and glitch noise. The accuracy is about 9375 in ASR and about 98% in Mobile phone.

  • The position error in multi-axis machine tools are due to many elements, such as the static friction, servo lag, a nonlinear disturbance, the gain mismatch between multi-axis controllers. In the work, modeling for the plant was carried out through the velocity response by the step input signal. Digital PI controllers, LQ optimal controllers and feedforward controllers are designed for a high tracking performance based on the model. The results of experimentation showed that the controllers worked properly.

  • There are two important variables in machining process control, which are feed and cutting speed. It is possible to improve the machining accuracy and the productivity by maintaining the optimal feed and cutting speed. IN this work, a controller is designed to achieve on-line cutting force control based on the modeling of cutting process dynamics established through step response test. Two schemes are proposed and implemented. The first is feed control under the constant spindle speed and the second is spindle speed control under the constant feed. Finally, both are proved to work properly through simulation and experimentation.

  • Trajectory tracking control problems are described for a two-link robot manipulator with artificial rubber muscle actuators. Under the assumption that the so-called independent joint control is applied to the control system, the dynamic model for each link is identified as a linear second-order system with time-lag by the step response. Two control laws such as the feedforward and the computed torque control methods, are experimentally applied for controlling the circular trajectory of an actual robot manipulator.

  • In this paper, four quadrant CBPS(Compact Bipolar Power Supply) which development and study using universal PWM controller. The CBPS has 24V DC-link voltage, +/-5A output current, 50kHz switching frequency and 30Hz full load bandwidth using FET device. Proposed system has two independent PWM controllers for each full-bridge switch leg drive and PI control loops for current regulations. It is shown experimental results that good step response of the current output.

  • An auto-tuning PID controller which is adequate for temperature control is developed based on relay-control and pole-placement Using the critical frequency which is obtained from relay-control parameters of assumed model are identified. Pole/zero-placement PID controller is designed for the identified model. The desired pole/zeros are determined so that the closed-loop has overshoot free step response. The developed auto-tuning PID controller was successfully applied to the temperature control of RTP.

  • In this paper, poppet valve with cone type poppet and sharp edged seat was studied. In order to develope poppet valve which have a specification of 315(bar) and 3(lpm), effect of design parameter as valve seat diameter, poppet angle, spring stiffness and spring pre-load was evaluated. The validity of simulation was confirmed and basic data far poppet valve design was derived.
