경사지 트랙터용 차체 수평제어 시스템 개발 - 유압시스템의 수평제어 성능 - (Development of Leveling Control System for a Slope Land Tractor - Performance of leveling control by hydraulic system -)

  • In this study, the leveling control system for a tractor has been developed. The experimental model showed that the implementation of the proposed hydraulic control system fur the prototype design of a slope land tractor was feasible. The front axle was designed as a center pin type and the rear axle was designed as a trailing arm type. The leveling control of the body on the slope land was accomplished by controlling the height of the right and left trailing arms using the electronic controlled hydraulic cylinder. The maximum leveling control angles were ${\pm}$15$^{\circ}$ for roll angle and 7$^{\circ}$far pitch angle. The front and rear wheel drives were transmitted by gears from the main shaft to the final drive. The adaptability of the hydraulic control system was tested and investigated by analyzing the system response in time and frequency domain. The hydraulic control system on a step input showed a linearly increasing trend without any overshoot state. The hydraulic control system on a frequency input showed a little phase differences and gain drops within the range of 0.3Hz.

Augmented Reality based Low Power Consuming Smartphone Control Scheme

  • The popularity of augmented reality (AR) applications and games are in high demand. Currently, the best common platform to implement AR services is on a smartphone, as online games, navigators, personal assistants, travel guides are among the most popular applications of smartphones. However, the power consumption of an AR application is extremely high, and therefore, highly adaptable and dynamic low power control schemes must be used. Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) schemes are widely used in smartphones to minimize the energy consumption by controlling the device's operational frequency and voltage. DVFS schemes can sometimes lead to longer response times, which can result in a significant problem for AR applications. In this paper, an AR response time monitor is used to observe the time interval between the AR image input and device's reaction time, in order to enable improved operational frequency and AR application process priority control. Based on the proposed response time monitor and the characteristics of the Linux kernel's completely fair scheduler (CFS) (which is the default scheduler of Android based smartphones), a response time step control (RSC) scheme is proposed which adaptively adjusts the CPU frequency and interactive application's priority. The experimental results show that RSC can reduce the energy consumption up to 10.41% compared to the ondemand governor while reliably satisfying the response time performance limit of interactive applications on a smartphone.

유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 설계 파라미터 도출 (Inducement of Design Parameters for Reliability Improvement of Servo Actuator for Hydraulic Valve Operation)

  • 유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터는 항공기, 자동차의 유압시스템 그리고 산업용 유압시스템의 정밀한 작동에 중요한 장치이다. 서보 액추에이터의 신뢰성 있는 동작은 전체 유압시스템의 정밀한 제어에 큰 영향을 미친다. 서보 액추에이터의 주파수 응답특성, 스텝 응답특성과 같은 응답특성은 액추에이터의 성능을 판단하는 중요한 기준이 된다. 본 논문에서는 신뢰성해석을 통해 신뢰성 있는 동작과 응답특성을 만족시키기 위한 구성 부품에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 신뢰성 있는 동작과 빠른 응답성을 구현하기 위해 현장의 경험적 지식과 문헌 및 전문가의 전자기 이론을 통해 유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터의 설계 파라미터를 도출하였다. 보빈, 요크, 플런저의 설계값, 그리고 코일의 감긴 수와 같은 서보 액추에이터의 설계값들을 결정하는 설계 파라미터를 제안하고, 설계방정식을 통해 산출한 설계값을 유한요소해석을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 서보 액추에이터가 장착된 유압밸브의 성능시험을 통해 제안한 설계 방안의 타당성을 검증하였다.

Manabe 표준형의 계단 응답 특성 및 제어기설계에의 응용 (The Characteristices of Step Responses of the Manabe Standard Forms and Its Application to the Controller Desegn)

  • We investigate the characteristic of 소데 responses of the Manabe standard form which is used recently for design of the controller. We obtain some theorems and these theorems have the properties of the relationship between the roots of the polynomial and the stability indices which are used for the Manabe standard form. The Manabe standard form has the following properties: The sum of the squal to zero, the sum of the reciprocal of the squared roots is greater than zero and the parameter $\tau$ is the negative value of the sum of the reciprocal of the roots. We compare the step responses of the Manabe standard form with those of the ITAE form, the dead beat response and Bessel forms. We choose the 6th order closed loop polynomial and keep the same settling time for the four forms. Under these conditions we find that the Manabe standard form have faster 90% rising time than the Bessel and dead beat response. We see that the ITAE, bessel and dead beat responses have some overshoot, whereas the Manabe standard form has none. We also compare the Manabe form with the other three forms for the controller design using the pole assignment technique. If the open loop transfer function is a type-1 system (transfer functions having one integrator), then, for the closed loop system associated with the open loop transfer function, the steady state error of the unit ramp input is obtained in terms of the parameter $\tau$ of the Manabe standard form.

모델 동정에 의한 Smith predictor 구조를 갖는 최적의 PID 제어기 설계 (Optimal design of PID controllers including Smith predictor structure by the model identification)

  • 본 논문은 시간 응답을 과도응답과 정상상태 응답으로 분류하여 1차의 지연시간을 포함한 공정을 동정하는 새로운 모델링 방법을 제시했다. 먼저 공정의 입.출력 데이터를 분석하여 공정의 상태를 정상상태 응답과 과도상태 응답으로 분류한다. 그 다음 최소 자승법을 사용하여 정상상태 응답은 하나의 1차의 지연시간을 갖는 공정으로 추정하고, 과도상태 응답은 여러 개의 모델로 나누어 모델링 한다. 최적의 PID 동조법으로는 지연시간을 보상하는 Smith- Predictor 구조에 성능지수 ITAE값이 최소가 되도록 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 다양한 공정에 대하여 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 적용하여, 모델축소 방법의 정확성 및 제어기 성능의 개선을 보였다.

  • 본 논문은 DC/DC 컨버터에서 스위치의 듀티 신호를 피드백 하는 방법을 이용한 새로운 센서리스 제어 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 제어 기법은 다음과 같은 특성들을 가지고있다 먼저, 전류를 피드백 하는 대신 스위치의 듀티 신호만을 피드백 하면서도 전류제어 기법과 동일한 동작특성을 보여줄 뿐만 아니라 스텝 천이에 의해 입력 전원측에 변동이 발생하거나 직류 입력전원이 고조파성분을 포함하고 있는 경우 기존의 센서리스 전류 제어 기법 보다 훨씬 우수한 과도기 응답성능을 갖는다 또한 제안한 제어기법은 전류센서를 사용하지 않으므로 우수한 노이즈 특성 및 간단한 제어회로를 갖게 되며 모든 DC/DC 컨버터에 적용 가능하다. 본 제어기법의 개념 및 동작원리가 상세하게 설명되고 있으며 제안된 제어기법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 수행하였다.

  • Differently from an existing analog control, because the digital control includes microprocessor basically, the digital control is enable to monitor internal parameters of DC-DC converter and to control output voltage remotely by communicating with a Windows based PC and also to monitor whether exact voltage is output or not. These things are impossible in an analog control. In this paper, a simple flyback converter is taken as a control target and is controlled by a microcontroller(TMS320F2812). This converter can make variable outputs 1.8V to 5V from 30V input voltage remotely in PC. Finally the response characteristics of a step reference voltage and in a steady state are experimented to verify the feasibility and the usefulness of this digital controlled converter.

  • In this paper, we describe a Control Element Drive Mechanism(CEDM) operation test using a Power Controller. By testing, we can catch the mechanical and electrical characteristics of CEDM and obtain the information about the improvement of CEDM and the design of CEDM power cabinet. The power controller for CEDM introduced in this paper can input firing angles directly into gate drive circuits of thyristors so that this method can be used to derive the maximum and minimum values of firing angles within available limits for a 3-phase half-wave rectifier. Angle inputs help us understand each coil's response characteristics. Since this power controller generates a serial sequence for CEDM insertion and withdrawal operations, we may judge whether CEDM works correctly as expected or not in each phase of a step movement.

HIERARCHICAL SWITCHING CONTROL OF LONGITUDINAL ACCELERATION WITH LARGE UNCERTAINTIES

  • In this study, a hierarchical switching control scheme based on robust control theory is proposed for tracking control of vehicle longitudinal acceleration in the presence of large uncertainties. A model set consisting of four multiplicative-uncertainty models is set up, and its corresponding controller set is designed by the LMI approach, which can ensures the robust performance of the closed loop system under arbitray switching. Based on the model set and the controller set, a switching index function by estimating the system gain of the uncertainties between the plant and the nominal model is designed to determine when and which controller should be switched into the closed loop. After theoretical analyses, experiments have also been carried out to validate the proposed control algorithm. The results show that the control system has good performance of robust stability and tracking ability in the presence of large uncertainties. The response time is smaller than 1.5s and the max tracking error is about $0.05\;m/S^2$ with the step input.

A Study on Bidirectional Boost-Buck Chopper Type AC Voltage Regulator

  • The bidirectional boost-buck chopper type AC voltage regulator is presented in this paper. The main characteristic of the AC chopper is the fact that it generates an output AC voltage larger or lower than the input AC one, depending of the instantaneous duty-cycle. Boost-buck chopper type AC voltage regulator, derived from the DC chopper modulated method, is a kind of direct AC-AC voltage converter and has many advantages: such as fast response speed, low harmonics and high power factor. It adopts high switching frequency AC chopper technique and can do wide range step less AC voltage regulation.
