Glycine-Nitrate Process를 이용한 고온 수증기 전해용 (La, Sr)$MnO_3$ 전극의 합성 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of (La, Sr)$MnO_3$ Electrode for High Temperature Steam Electrolysis by Glycine-Nitrate Process)

  • LSM powder material for an oxygen-electrode(anode) of High Temperature Steam Electrolysis (RISE) was synthesized by a Modified-Glycine nitrate process(GNP). Amount of nitric acid and its concentration was varied to find out an appropriate composition for the oxygen-electrode(anode). In order to optimize the amount of Glycine used as an oxidant of self-combustion process, the ratio of Glycine to Anion was varied. $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}MnO_3$, $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}MnO_3$, and $La_{0.2}Sr_{0.8}MnO_3$ were synthesized in this study. Those LSM were dried for overnight to remove moisture from the material at $110^{\circ}C$ and were calcined 2 hours at $650^{\circ}C$ and were sintered in a furnace for 5 hours at $1400^{\circ}C$. Their structures, surface morphologies, surface areas, and weight changes were investigated with XRD, SEM, BET, and TG/DTA. The best perovskite phase for the oxygen-electrode of HTSE was obtained with $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}MnO_3$ formula in which 100 ml of 3M nitric acid was used in the preparation of its formula. The optimized ratio of Glycine to Anion was 2.

스팀 유동층 건조기를 이용한 고수분 저등급 석탄의 건조 특성 (Drying Characteristics of High Moisture Low Rank Coal using a Steam Fluidized-bed Dryer)

  • 본 연구에서는 고수분 저등급 석탄을 저수분 석탄으로 만들기 위하여 실험실 규모의 회분식 스팀 유동층 건조기를 사용하여 수분이 약 26%함유된 인도네시아산 저등급 석탄을 5% 이하로 건조하였다. 일반적으로 이산화탄소 포집 및 저장기술(carbon capture and storage, CCS)은 $CO_2$를 재생하는 공정에서 $100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$의 스팀과 $CO_2$혼합가스를 배출한다. 이때 배출되는 가스의 열을 사용하여 저등급 석탄을 건조하는 것이 본 연구의 최종 목적이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 건조의 열원으로 스팀을 사용하고, 유동화 가스는 $CO_2$를 사용하여 저등급 석탄을 건조하였다. 연구에 사용한 스팀의 유량은 0.3~1.1 kg/hr, 온도는 $100~130^{\circ}C$, 석탄의 층높이는 9~25 cm로 변화시켰다. 건조 후 석탄의 특성 변화는 공업분석, 발열량분석 그리고 입자크기 분석을 통하여 확인하였다. 변수 실험을 수행한 결과 원탄의 건조속도는 스팀의 유량과 온도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였고, 층높이가 감소할수록 건조속도가 증가하였다.

증기터빈 익렬유동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Stream Turbine Cascade Flow)

  • The rapid expansion or condensible gas such as moist air of steam gives rise to nonequilibrium condensation. As a result of irreversibility of condensation process in the supersonic cascade flow of low pressure steam turbine, the entropy of the flow is increased, and the efficiency of the turbine is decreased. In the present study, to investigate the flow of moist air in 2-dimensional cascade made as the configuration of the tip section of the last actual steam turbine moving blade, the static pressure at both sides of pressure and suction of blade are measured by static pressure taps and the distribution of Mach number on both surfaces of the blade are obtained by using the measured static pressure. Also, the flow field is visualized by a schlieren system. From the experimental results, the effects of the stagnation temperature and specific humidity on the flow properties in a 2-dimensional stationary cascade of a practical steam turbine blade are clearly identified.

A Comparison between the Thermomechanical and Structural Changes in Textured PET Yarns after Superheated Steam and Dry Heat Treatment

  • PET yarns textured at different texturing conditions were treated with superheated steam or dry heat at different temperatures for different times. The effects of the treatment conditions on the thermomechanical and structural changes of the yarn were examined by shrinkage, X-ray diffraction and birefringence measurements. With increase in superheated steam temperature, the crystalline orientation factor and birefringence decreased, whereas crystal size increased. Dry heat treatment had a smaller effect on shrinkage and structural properties in comparison with superheated steam treatment. The additional shrinkage after texturing process was investigated. The effect of heat-setting in both media was more significant at $200^{\circ}C$. The time dependence of the properties was not linear.

스팀 트랩 바이메탈 밸브의 열 구조해석 (Thermal Structural Analysis of Steam Trap Bimetal Valve)

  • In this study, structural thermal analyses for steam trap valve considering contact boundary condition have been conducted for high temperature and pressure conditions using nonlinear finite element method. Full steam trap model also including regulator and housing structures is considered in order to accurately simulate the complex valve mechanism and investigate thermal stress levels, and structural behaviors of core structural parts. It is typically shown that the present computational approach can give very useful results for design engineers so that the operating performance and structural safety of the steam trap valve can be verified in the design process.

  • The heat transfer process from steam to web through the cylinder drum consists of the thermal resistance by condensate thickness. thickness of shell, and the contact resistance between cylinder and web. The most thermal resistance in conventional cylinder drum dryer is generated by condensate, which is increased by the increase on revolution per minute(RPM). Therefore, the increase of RPM for the production enhancement results in the more thermal resistance, and eventually RPM is restricted. In this study, the theoretical analysis on the characteristics of heat transfer in cylinder drum for paper dryer was performed in the stationary state of steam in drum. The overall heat transfer coefficient, steam quantity and heat transfer quantity were predicted by diameter and length of drum, condensate thickness, revolution per minute and steam temperature for experimental apparatus design.

스팀사출성형에 의한 공정의 최적화 (Process optimization for the steam injection molding)

  • The water has been the suitable for the cooling medium until now. But the water as cooling medium seem to have the limit for high speed injection. The steam plastic molding injection use the steam as the medium when raise the mold temperature. The weld line has been the major quality problems in a plastic injection parts to be difficult to be solved. These problems in injection-molded plastic parts are difficult to find the reason because these issues are usually in tradeoff realtions with each other. The purpose of this paper is to obtain the optimum injection moulding condition for improving the quality of plastic injection parts and to inquire the productivity improvement with the measured cycle time by steam plastic moluding injection. Based on these numerical results, the guidelines of mould design and injection processing condition were established. As a result, the improvement of quality and the reduction of cycle time was achieved.

Optimization of Heat Exchanger Network in the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage Process Integration

  • The Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) process is an enhanced method to extract oil from bitumen which involves surface and central process facilities. This paper describes the Central Process Facilities (CPF) of SAGD and proposes several retrofit plans to the Heat Exchanger Network (HEN). In this approach, the process integration scheme is applied to estimate the energy saving in HENs, and various cases are modeled in favor of a commercial simulator. Throughout this work, a minimum approach temperature of 10℃ is assumed. The results reveal that, due to the HEN optimization using process integration, the heating and cooling duties can be reduced to 29.68MW and 1.886MW, respectively. Compared with the Husky case, all cases considered in this study indicate a potential reduction of at least 6% in total cost, including investment and operation costs.

타이타늄 터닝 스크랩 내 절삭유 제거를 위한 초음파 침지-스팀 및 고온 건조 공정 (Ultrasonic Immersion-steam Cleaning and High Temperature Drying Process for Removing Cutting Oil on Titanium Turning Scraps)

  • 타이타늄 터닝 스크랩을 재활용하기 위해서는 표면에 남아있는 절삭유나 기타 오염물을 제거해야할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 초음파 침지-스팀의 복합 세척 공정을 활용하여 타이타늄 스크랩을 세척하고, 건조 조건을 달리하여 절삭유를 제거하는 실험을 진행하였다. 또한 절삭유 제거 메커니즘 확인을 위한 접촉각 측정을 통해 타이타늄 터닝 스크랩의 침지 용액 최적 농도를 확인하였다. 피로인산나트륨 용액에 침지 세척 시 50℃에서 절삭유 내 탄소 제거율이 가장 높았으며, 스팀 세척-초음파 침지-스팀 세척 순으로 진행하는 것이 초음파 침지 후 스팀 세척을 실시하는 것보다 탄소 함량이 낮은 것을 확인했다. 타이타늄 스크랩의 TGA 분석을 통해 산화 및 절삭유의 분해 거동을 조사하고 고온 건조에 적용하였다. 건조 후 탄소와 산소 함량을 고려 시 200℃에서 2시간 건조를 하는 것이 최적의 조건임을 확인하였다.

주행하는 고온 강재의 상하부 동시 냉각 과정 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Simultaneous Cooling Process of Upper and Lower Side of Running Hot Steel Strip)

  • 열간 압연을 거친 $800^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온 철강 판재는 일반적으로 다중 봉상 수분류(multiple circular water jets)에 의해서 급속 냉각된다. 이 과정은 소재의 온도가 냉각수의 끓는점보다 훨씬 높기 때문에 소재 표면과 냉각수 사이에 막비등 열전달 현상이 발생하며 소재 표면에 매우 얇은 증기층이 형성되며, 이 증기층은 소재와 냉각수의 열교환을 방해하는 중요한 열저항으로 작용한다. 본 문제에는 비등 열전달 이외에도 소재 표면에 쌓이는 체류수의 자유표면 유동, 소재의 고속 주행 등 복잡한 물리현상들이 복합적으로 작용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 모든 물리현상들을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 해석 절차를 적용하여 일정한 속도로 주행하는 고온 철강 판재의 상하부 동시 냉각 과정을 3 차원 수치해석 하였으며, 소재 상부 및 하부 면의 냉각 특성을 비교하였다.
