흡기3밸브 실린더 헤드의 흡입 정상유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Steady Intake Flow Characteristics of the Intake 3-Valve Cylinder Head)

  • Flow patterns and steady flow characteristics of an intake 3valve cylinder head are not obviously declared. Thus, in the study, the characteristics and limitation of intake flow coefficient which applied to multi intake valve engine are introduced. The flow coefficient and tumble characteristics are investigated by means of the steady flow test and flow visualization method. As the results, it is found that the intake flow rate is dominated by effective valve open area. In addition, this paper shows that the mass flow rate of intake 3valve engine is greater than that of intake 2valve engine and tumble flow of intake 3valve engine is superior to that of intake 2valve engine.

Determining the flow curves for an inverse ferrofluid

  • An inverse ferrofluid composed of micron sized polymethylmethacrylate particles dispersed in ferrofluid was used to investigate the effects of test duration times on determining the flow curves of these materials under constant magnetic field. The results showed that flow curves determined using low duration times were most likely not measuring the steady state rheological response. However, at longer duration times, which are expected to correspond more to steady state behaviour, we noticed the occurrence of plateau and decreasing flow curves in the shear rate range of $0.004\;s^{-1}$ to ${\sim}20\;s^{-1}$, which suggest the presence of nonhomogeneities and shear localization in the material. This behaviour was also reflected in the steady state results from shear start up tests performed over the same range of shear rates. The results indicate that care is required when interpreting flow curves obtained for inverse ferrofluids.

Steady-State and Transient Performance Simulation of a Turboshaft Engine with a Free Power Turbine

  • A program of steady-state and transient performance analysis for a 200kW-class small turboshaft engine with free power turbine was developed. An existing turbojet engine was used for the gas generator of the developed turboshaft engine, which was modified to satisfy performance requirements of this turboshaft engine. To verify the accuracy of steady-state performance program for this engine: the program was applied to the gas turbine test unit of the same type, and the analysis results were compared with experimental results. The developed transient performance analysis program using the CMF (Constant Mass Flow) method was utilized to analyze the cases of step increase and ramp increase of the fuel.

  • 네 가지 핀틀 형상에 대한 정상상태 노즐 유동실험과 유동해석연구를 진행하였다. 실험과 해석결과 핀틀 형상에 따른 추력기 성능변화가 가장 컸으며, 이는 서로 다른 핀틀 형상이 추력기 안에서 움직임에 따라 연소실 압력과 노즐목 면적을 변화시키기 때문이다.

  • In the present study, The characteristics of developing steady laminar flows of a straight duct connected to a $180^{\circ}$ curved duct were examined In the entrance region through experimental measurement. Flow characteristics such as shear stress distributions, pressure distributions and friction coefficient experimentally in a square cross-sectional straight duct by using the PIV system. For the PIV measurement by particles produced from mosquito coils particles. The experimental data were obtained at 9 points dividing the test sections by 400mm. Experimental results can be summarized as follows. Critical Reynolds number, $Re_{cr}$ which indicates transition from laminar steady flow to transition steady flow was 2,150. Shear stress per unit length on the wall was stronger than that in the fully developed flow region. This was attributed to the fact that shear stress and pressure loss in the curvature of a duct were increased. Pressure distributions were gradually decreased irrespective of Reynolds number In the whole test section. This trends were in a good agreement with the reference results. Pipe friction coefficient in the steady state flow region was calculate from method of least squares. The co-relationship between fiction coefficient and Reynolds number was established as follow; ${\lambda}=56/Re$.

결정질 암반에서 Moye 방법을 이용한 정압시험의 해석에 대한 고찰 (Study on Moye's Method for Analysis of Constant-Head Tests Conducted in Crystalline Rock)

  • 본 논문에서는 정류 상태의 정압시험에 대한 해석 방법 중 Moye 해석해를 고찰해 보았으며, 현장수리시험에서 정압시험에 대한 정류 상태의 해석과 부정류 상태의 해석에 대해 비교해 보았다. Moye 해석해로 산출한 수리전도도는 시험 구간의 크기가 작을수록 민감도가 커지기 때문에 시험 구간의 길이를 가능한 시험 조건에서 크게 설정하여 현장수리시험을 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 특히 10-8 m/sec 이하의 수리전도도를 갖는 저투수성 매질에서는 부정류 상태의 해석 결과에 비해 Moye 해석해로 도출한 수리전도도의 값이 작게 도출되는데, 이는 Moye 식에서 가정한 방사성 흐름과 구상 흐름의 경계면을 조정할 경우 보완할 수 있었다. KURT내 연구용 시험공에서 수행한 정압시험 결과, 저투수성 매질에서 부정류 상태의 시험을 통해 도출한 투수성이 정류 상태의 결과에 비해 큰 값이 도출되었다. 이는 정압시험에 의해 형성되는 방사상 흐름에서 구상 흐름으로 바뀌는 지하수 흐름의 경계면이 Moye 식에서 가정한 '시험구간 길이의 절반'보다 작게 형성되었기 때문으로 판단되며, 결국 결정질 암반에서 수행한 정압시험을 해석할 때 단순히 정류 상태의 해석으로 매질의 수리지질특성을 판단하기보다는 정류 상태의 해석에서 수반되는 가정 조건을 고려하여 부정류 상태의 시험 결과와 함께 비교하여 해석한다면 매질의 수리지질특성을 보다 잘 이해할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

가스터빈 엔진 천이 성능 시험에 의한 정상상태 성능 예측

  • 항공기용 가스터빈엔진에 대한 경제적인 시험 기법 개발을 위해 천이상태 성능 시험 결과로부터 정상상태 성능을 예측할 수 있는 방안을 모색했다. 천이상태 성능과 정상상태 성능이 서로 달라지는 현상의 원인을 동역학적 천이 효과, 열적 천이 효과, 공기역학적 천이 효과로 구분하고, 각각을 모델링해서 엔진의 천이상태 성능을 통해 정상상태 성능을 계산하는 보정 인자를 정량화했다. 먼저 천이상태 성능시험 시 나타나는 엔진 입ㆍ출구의 온도 변화가 엔진 성능에 미치는 영향을 보정했고, 그 후 도입된 보정 인자를 사용해 정상상태 성능을 예측했다. 이렇게 예측된 결과와 실제 정상상태 성능시험 결과를 비교한 결과, 연료 소모량의 차이 3.68% 이내로 정상상태 성능을 예측할 수 있었다.

플레넘 챔버 내의 유동 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Flow characteristics in the Plenum Chamber)

  • The MPI engine becomes increasingly popular because it meets two requirements of stringent pollutant emission and the lower fuel consumption. Even though supplies the same amount of fuel to each cylinder , it is hard to precisely control the air-duel ration due to the different amount of air flowing into each cylinder. The uniformity of air-fuel ration in each cylinder is considerably affected by the plenum chamber configuration . This study is focused on experimentally analyzing the flow characteristics within the plenum chamber In the present experiment , steady and valve dynamic state flow tests are performed and the flow field inside the plenum chamber is visualized and measured by utilizing a laser sheet visualization technique and a PTV method. These measured results indicate that the flow structure in the plenum chamber is highly influenced by the plenum chamber configurations, suction flow rates, crank speeds and so on.

Numerical Simulation of Water Table Drawdown due to Groundwater Pumping in a Contaminated Aquifer System at a Shooting Test Site, Pocheon, Korea

  • The study area has been contaminated with explosive materials and heavy metals for several decades. For the design of the pump and treat remediation method, groundwater flow before and during groundwater pumping in a contaminated aquifer system was simulated, calibrated, and predicted using a generalized multidimensional hydrological numerical model. A three-dimensional geologic formation model representing the geology, hydrogeology, and topography of the aquifer system was established. A steady-state numerical simulation with model calibration was performed to obtain initial steady-state spatial distributions of groundwater flow and groundwater table in the aquifer system before groundwater pumping, and its results were illustrated and analyzed. A series of transient-state numerical simulations were then performed during groundwater pumping with the four different pumping rates at a potential location of the pumping well. Its results are illustrated and analyzed to provide primary reference data for the pump and treat remediation method. The results of both steady-state and transient-state numerical simulations show that the spatial distribution and properties of the geologic media and the topography have significant effects on the groundwater flow and thus depression zone.

유출량 변동에 따른 모형배수지내 잔류염소농도의 변화 (The Variation of the Residual Chlorine Concentration in a Distribution Reservoir)

  • 본 연구에서는 모형배수지를 이용하여 유출량의 변동여부와 도류벽의 설치여부에 따른 유출수의 잔류염소농도의 변화를 추적하였다. 모형배수지의 실험결과를 고찰해 보면, 유출량을 변동시킨 경우에 있어서 도류벽이 없을 때와 도류벽이 2개 있을 때, 유출수의 평균 잔류염소농도의 차이가 유출량을 일정하게 유지한 경우에 비하여 줄어 들었다. 이는 유출량 변동의 영향에 의한 것으로 유출량의 변동이 심한 배수지에 있어서는 유출량의 변동이 심하지 않은 정수지에서 보다는 도류벽 설치의 효과가 작은 것으로 판단된다.
