흡착공정을 이용한 프레온-12와 공기혼합가스의 분리 (Separation of Freon-12 and Air Mixture by Adsorption Process)

  • In order to separate the Freon-12 and air mixture$(CF_2Cl_2/Air=0.1/99.9 vol.%)$ by pressure swing adsorption (PSA), the breakthrough curve was experimentally observed in a fixed bed adsorption column. A single adsorber was packed with various adsorbents such as, the activated carbon(S-AC, W-AC) and the molecular sieve(MS-5A, MS-13X). The order of appearance of breakthrough curve is MS-5A > MS-13X > W-AC > S-AC. The activated carbon was found to be more effective adsorbent for separating Freon-12 from the mixture than the molecular sieve was. From the experimental data obtained by the separation of Freon-12 gas out of the air stream in the steady-state PSA process cycle, whose size is the same one of column used for the breakthrough curve observation, it has been confirmed that Freon-rich gas could be obtained from the purge step of PSA and Freon-free air could be obtained from the adsorption step of PSA cycle.

  • In this study, HFC ORCs (Organic Rankine Cycles) are investigated for a low-temperature geothermal power generation by a simulation method. A steady-state simulation model is developed to analyze and optimize cycle's performance. The model contains a turbine, a pump, an expansion valve and heat exchangers. The turbine and pump are modelled by an isentropic efficiency. Simulations were carried out for the given heat source and sink inlet temperatures, and given flow rate that is based on the typical power plant thermal-capacitance-rate ratio. 3 HFC fluids are considered as a candidate for a working fluid of low-temperature ORCs. In this study, all optimized HFC ORCs are shown to yield almost the same performance in terms of power for a low-temperature heat source of about $100^{\circ}C$.

  • This paper proposes a parameter estimation technique of a power transformer. Based on the combined equation, it estimates separately the primary and secondary leakage inductances using the least square method from the instantaneous voltages and currents in the steady state. The performance of the proposed technique was investigated by varying the cut-off frequency of the filter and the number of samples per cycle. The estimated values are obtained based on the average value for 41 cycle.

  • 본 논문에서는 random FHSS, synchronous FHSS 방식을 채용한 RFID 시스템의 충돌 확률, 트래픽 처리시간 및 주파수 채널 용량 분석을 위한 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 평균 서비스 시간, duty cycle, traffic intensity, 충돌이 발생하여 재전송 시도를 하기 위한 지연시간을 고려하여 정상상태에서의 충돌 확률 및 트래픽 처리 지연시간을 산출하였다. 모의실험을 통하여 최대처리 가능한 트래픽 용량 및 주파수 채널수를 평가하고, 제안된 분석 알고리즘 정확성을 입증하였다.

  • This investigation is carried out to clarify the cycles of nitrogen in the grassland ecosystems of Zoysia japonica and a Miscanthus sinensis on Mt. Kwanak. The hasic differential equation for the rate of change of nitrogen storage is illustrated hy huild-up and turnover of organic nitrogen, particularly in the ecosystems. The turnover velocity fractions of nitrogen for the Z. japonica and M .sinensis grasslands were k= 0. 181 and k=0. 166, respectively. The times required to reach 50, 95 and 99 percent of the steady state levels and turnover values of nitrogen on the grassland floors were 3.85, 16.67 and 27.78 years in the Z japonica grassland and 4.08, 17.65 and 29.41 years in the M sinensis grassland. The amount of annual cycles of nitrogen are 560.2 g /$m^2$ in the Z.japonica grassland and 654.1 g /$m^2$ in the M. sinensis grassland. Key words : Zsysia japonica Alisca nthus sinensis, Mt.   • The gas-turbine generator of Seo-Incheon combined-cycle plant was tested for derivation of a model for dynamic analysis. Load rejection and AVR step test was performed to get the dynamic response of generator. The parameters of generator/control system model were determined by these measured data. No-load saturation test was performed for the saturation characteristics of the generator under steady state. V-curve test was also performed so as to find exact generator parameters. Q-axis parameters of generator was derived by measuring power angle. AVR and governor constants have been tuned by their oscillatory period and setting time characteristics. The derived parameters of generator control system is verified by one-machine infinite bus system simulation. (author). 7 refs., 20 figs., 5 tabs.

  • A design process and an axisymmetric boundary integral equation method for precise structural analysis of the aircraft gas turbine rotor disk were developed. This axisymmetric boundary integral equation method for stress and steady-state thermal analysis was improved in solution accuracy by appling an implicit technique for Cauchy principal value evaluation, a subelement technique for weak singular integral evaluation and a double exponentical integral technoque for internal point solution near boundary surfaces. Stresses, temperatures, low cycle fatigue lifes and critical speeds for the turbine rotor disk of the thrust 1421 N class turbojet engine were analysed in a pratical calculation model problem.

High Step-Down Multiple-Output LED Driver with the Current Auto-Balance Characteristic

  • A high step-down multiple-output LED driver is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the derivation of the driver with dual-output is presented and its operation principle and steady state performance are analyzed in detail. Secondly, a high step-down N-channel LED driver is proposed and its current auto-balance characteristic and step-down ratio are analyzed. Finally, an experimental prototype is built and the experimental results are given. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed driver has the following virtues: First, if load balancing is achieved, the voltage gain is 1/N that of a Buck driver, where N is the number of channels. Second, each output automatically has an equal output current, without requiring more current close-loop control circuits than a Buck driver. Last, the voltage stresses of the switches and diodes are lower than those of a Buck driver, meaning that lower voltage switches and diodes can be used, and a higher efficiency can be expected.

  • In this paper, simulation results of a robust digital tracking controller on a robotic manipulator are presented. The objective is to follow a ramp reference input with zero steady state error in the presence of a disturbance and system parameter variations. Some of the difficulties are caused by the Coulomb frictions, the disturbance due to the gravitational pull, the spring effect of a link between the drive motor and the manipulator arm. Another difficulty is that, because of the non-differentiable Coulomb friction, the digital control system cannot be represented as a discrete system. It is thus necessary to design the controller based on a discrete-continuous hybrid model. The controller is based on feeding back the state variables and augmenting the system by addition discrete integrators. The feedback gain parameters are obtained by applying the quadratic optimal control theory and then choosing the new weighting matrices to eliminate the limit cycle by using the describing function method for hybrid system.

  • This research investigates economic characteristics of 2 of 2 runs rules under the Shewhart $\bar{X}$ control chart scheme. A Markov chain approach is employed in order to calculate the in-control average run length (ARL) and the average length of analysis cycle. States of the process are defined according to the process conditions at sampling time and transition probabilities are derived from the state definitions. A steady state cost function is constructed based on the Lorezen and Vance(1986) model. Numerical examples show that 2 of 2 runs rules are economically superior to the Shewhart $\bar{X}$ chart in many cases.
