  • The purpose of this study is to identify influence that eye movement have an effect on postural control and balance performance by plegia side of the impaired patients of central nervous system. Subjects are patients with the impairment of central nervous system and experimental and control groups are forty people and thirty people seperatively, Total subjects were selected to seventy persons, but twelve persons of experimental group quit during the experimental periods and eight persons of control group did not measure after exercise. Therefore, twenty eight persons of experimental group and twenty two persons of control group were selected in this study and experimental group peformed eye movement for eight weeks according to the exercise program of this study. The measurement of dependent variable is right static balance, left static balance, bilateral static balance, and bilateral dynamic balance before exercise and after eighth week of exercise, examiner again measured and analyzed the results. The results were as follows: 1. • The steady-state, incompressible and three-dimensional numerical analysis was carried out to evaluate turbulent models on the aerodynamic performance of a small-size axial fan(SSAF). The prediction performance on the static pressure of all turbulent models is going downhill at the high static pressure and low flowrate region, but has improved at the axial flow region. In consequence, all turbulent models predict the static pressure coefficient with an error performance less than about 4% after the region of the flowrate coefficient of about 0.14. Especially, the turbulent model of SST $k-{\omega}$ shows the best prediction performance equivalent to an error performance less than about 2% on the static pressure.

  • The extensive use of composite insulators for transmission lines can ultimately be justified only on long-term qualification tests. The actual load working on the insulator in the field is not static load but cyclic load. So in this paper, we discussed an examination of aging degradation by mechanical performance of composite insulators under static tension load and cyclic tension load. and also described useful approaches for analyzing their long term performance so as to develop reliable composite insulators. The static and cyclic tension load-time test data were examined by Weibull distribution for their capability of presuming long term performance. It was found that cyclic tension loads were more severe than static tension loads. The results also indicate that it may be relevant for an user to select composite insulators on basis of their performance under cyclic tension loads than static tension loads.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of closed kinematic chain exercise and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation exercise on the static dynamic balance performance of hemiplegic patients in order to suggest them therapeutic intervention methods. Methods : The subjects of this study were 18 hemiplegic patients grouped into 2 subgroups according to the exercise program. one group of closed kinematic chain exercise carried out sit to stand, Hooklying with pelvic lift(bridging) and stair-up & down by a hemiplegic leg. The other group of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation exercise carried out leg flexion-extension pattern in supine position, leg flexion pattern in standing and stabilizing reversal exercise in stating position. Each exercise was carried out over 3 sets of 10reps. Results : The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. For both groups, there were statistically significant changes in the static balance (FICSIT-4) performance after exercise program (p<.05). 2. For both groups, there were statistically significant changes in the dynamic balance (FSST, TUG, FRT) performance after exercise program (p<.05). 3. In the comparison between both groups, there was no statistically significant difference in the static dynamic balance performance (FICSIT-4, FSST, TUGT, ER) after exercise program. Conclusion : As the results of the study shows closed kinematic chain exercise and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation exercise affect the improvement of hemiplegic patients'' static dynamic balance performance, it is supposed that these exercises could be therapeutic exercise program in clinical situations.

  • Static Characteristics of the system, such as weight, center of gravity etc., are inspected and regulated through the whole design process of a light weight torpedo system, and the nominal condition of the characteristics is prescribed for standardization of manufacturing and fabrication. It is possible that a real system or assembled system has different static characteristics from that of the nominal condition. It is required to evaluate the tolerance of the static characteristics within which the performance of the system should not be contaminated by the static characteristics. In this paper, an evaluation method of the tolerance is described for light weight torpedo systems. The method is to check on the performance and related critical parameters of light weight torpedoes. The checking items are composed of general conditions of underwater mobile systems such as stability and dynamic sensitivity and specified performance requirements for light weight torpedoes.

  • This paper presents the effects of the bump foil stiffness on the static and dynamic performance of the foil journal bearings. Reynolds equation is used for the static and dynamic performance analyses. To consider the deflection of top foil the top foil is modeled as a elastic beam and the bump foil is modeled as a spring. So in the static performance analysis the load capacity is compared to the various bump foil stiffness and in the dynamic performance analysis the trajectory of journal center is compared to the various bump foil stiffness.

  • A Small-size axial fan(SSAF) has widely been utilized to circulate a cooling air in a refrigerator, etc. Generally, the aerodynamic performance of SSAF is strongly dependent upon the depth between SSAF and bellmouth, and it includes axial, partially stalled, mostly stalled and radial flow regions according to the flow coefficient. In this study, four kinds of bellmouth depths were considered to analyze the aerodynamic performance of SSAF. As a bellmouth depth increases, a maximum flowrate decreases, but a maximum static pressure increases. Also, stall region includes an inflection point in all aerodynamic performance curves. Finally, a static pressure efficiency shows the maximum value of 37%.

  • Performance evaluation of a compressor is conducted to develop 500W class ultra-micro gas turbine (UMGT) for power generation. The performance evaluation is essential to check the performance of the components of UMGT, a radial turbine, a centrifugal compressor, an angular combustor and a shaft, which have been already designed in previous researches. The purpose of this study is to introduce the development process of the performance testing equipments of the UMGT and to present the results of compressor performance test. For the performance evaluation of the compressor, two test equipments are developed and the initial test equipment uses commercial static air bearings with long shaft. In the improved test equipment, static air bearing is improved to increase rotating speed and compressed nitrogen gas is used for utility gas of the static air bearing to supply compressed air in a stable and steady way. To increase rotating speed to 320,000 rpm, 80% speed of design speed, compressed air is provided to the turbine. The performance map of the compressor with the 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% speed of design point is presented. The results of the performance test of compressor show a good agreement with the results of 3D CFD.

  • This paper describes a performance degradation of static type input buffer due to the device degradation in menory devices using $0.8\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS process. experimental results shows that the degradation of MOS device affects the Trip Point shift in static type input buffer. We have performed the spice simulation and calculated the Trip Point with model parameter and measurement data so that how much the Trip Point(VLT) variate.
