다중샘플링 다중작업을 수행하는 실시간제어시스템의 시계수제한성 유도 (Derivation of the Timing Constraints for Multi-Sampled Multitasks in a Real-Time Control System)

  • A real-time control system, composed of the controlled processor and the controller computer(s), may have a variety of task types, some of which have tight timing-constraints in generating the correct control input. The maximum period of those task failures tolerable by the system is called the hard deadline, which depends on not only fault characteristics but also task characteristics. In the paper, we extend a method deriving the hard deadline in LTI system executing single task. An algorithm to combine the deadlines of all the elementary tasks in the same operation-mode is proposed to derive the hard deadline of the entire system. For the end, we modify the state equation for the task to capture the effects of task failures (delays in producing correct values) and inter-correlation. We also classify the type of executing the tasks according to operation modes associated with relative importance of correlated levels among tasks, into series, parallel, and cascade modes. Some examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • In design of a digital current controller for a 3-phase (3 ) voltage-source (VS) PWM converter, its conventional model, i.e., stationary or synchronous reference frame model, is used in obtaining its discretized version. It introduces, however, inherent errors since the following practical problems are not taken into consideration: the characteristics of the space vector-based pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) and the time delays in the process of sampling and computation. In this paper, the new hybrid reference frame model of the 3 VS PWM converter is proposed considering these problems. In addition, the direct digital current controller based on this model is designed without any prediction or extrapolation algorithm to compensate the time delay. So the control algorithm is made very simple. It represents no steady-state error in input current control and has the optimized transient responses. The validity of the proposed algorithm is proved by the computer simulation and experimental results.

출력 시간 지연 시스템의 루우프 복구특성 (LTR properties for output-delayed systems)

  • This paper presents robustness properties of the Kalman Filter ad the associated LQG/LTR method for linear time-invariant systems having delays in both the state and output. A circle condition relating to the return difference matrix associated with the Kalman filter is derived. Using this circle condition, it is shown that the Kalman filter guarantees(1/2, .inf.) gain margin and .+-.60.deg. phase margin, which are the same as those for nondelay systems. However, it is shown that, even for minimum phase plants, the LQG/LTR method can not recover the target loop transfer function. Instead, an upper bound on the recovery error is obtained using an upper bound of the solution of the Kalman filter Riccati equations. Finally, some dual properties between output-delated system and input-delayed systems are exploited.

  • 단일 스테이지 스위칭 구조를 갖는 홀로그래픽 크로스바에 의한 동적인 자유공간 광연결을 실험하였다. 동적인 동작을 위해 전기적인 주소지정방식의 액정 공간광변조기와 회절격자가 매트릭스-매트릭스 크로스바에서의 고정적인 홀로그램을 대신하여 사용되었다. 회절격자는 규칙적인 셀들로 이루어졌으며 각 셀마다 서로 다른 위상지연 정도를 갖는다. 이러한 화소형 위상격자 배열을 공간광변조기에 띄어 입력빔의 방향으로 편향시키거나 여러 빔으로 분리한 후 원하는 위치로 빔의 방향을 조종한다. 이러한 실험결과 컴퓨터와 공간광변조기, 위상형 회절격자를 이용하여 자유공간 광연결이 동적으로 수행됨을 보였다.

Modified Deep Reinforcement Learning Agent for Dynamic Resource Placement in IoT Network Slicing

  • Network slicing is a promising paradigm and significant evolution for adjusting the heterogeneous services based on different requirements by placing dynamic virtual network functions (VNF) forwarding graph (VNFFG) and orchestrating service function chaining (SFC) based on criticalities of Quality of Service (QoS) classes. In system architecture, software-defined networks (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), and edge computing are used to provide resourceful data view, configurable virtual resources, and control interfaces for developing the modified deep reinforcement learning agent (MDRL-A). In this paper, task requests, tolerable delays, and required resources are differentiated for input state observations to identify the non-critical/critical classes, since each user equipment can execute different QoS application services. We design intelligent slicing for handing the cross-domain resource with MDRL-A in solving network problems and eliminating resource usage. The agent interacts with controllers and orchestrators to manage the flow rule installation and physical resource allocation in NFV infrastructure (NFVI) with the proposed formulation of completion time and criticality criteria. Simulation is conducted in SDN/NFV environment and capturing the QoS performances between conventional and MDRL-A approaches.
