The advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), along with the expansion of government and private investment in startup discovery and funding, has led to the emergence of startups seeking to generate outstanding results based on innovative ideas. As successful startups serve as role models, the number of aspiring entrepreneurs preparing to launch their own startups continues to increase. However, unlike entrepreneurs who challenge themselves with serial entrepreneurship after experiencing success, early-stage startups face various challenges such as team building, technology development, and fundraising. Accelerators play a dual role of mentor and investor by providing education, mentoring, consulting, network connection, and initial investment activities to help startups overcome various challenges they face and facilitate their growth. This study investigated whether there is a correlation between the characteristics of startups and their entrepreneurial performance, and analyzed whether accelerators mediate the relationship between startup characteristics and entrepreneurial performance. A total of 11 hypotheses were proposed, and a survey was conducted on 302 startup founders and employees located across the country, including the metropolitan area, for empirical research. SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0 were used for statistical analysis. Through this study, it was found that factors such as innovation, organizational culture, financial characteristics, and learning orientation among the characteristics of startups, rather than having a direct impact on entrepreneurial performance, are linked to entrepreneurial performance through the role of accelerators. By analyzing the impact factors of startup characteristics on entrepreneurial performance, this study presents research on the role of accelerators and provides institutional improvements. It is expected to contribute to the expansion of investment and differentiated acceleration programs, enabling startups to seize the market and grow stably in the market.

This research is focused on how the venture-startup policies of South Korea has changed for the last ten years and then scope on its outcomes, limits and suggestions. Several policies for venture-startup has begun when "Small Business Startup Support Law" was developed in 1986. Government's support policies for venture and startup and development of venture had made a turning point in 1997 "Act on Special Measures for the Promotion of Venture Business" and venture companies has achieved remarkable growth with Information Technologies(IT). However, with the global IT bubble and the enrichment of venture companies, a number of venture companies experienced considerable difficulties due to multiple thresholds. There were a lot of efforts to revitalize venture-startup ecosystem such as fostering innovative SMEs and one-person creative enterprise support policy. From 2002 to 2004, Korean Government focused on preventing moral hazards of Korean Venture Business. From 2005 to 2006, It focused on fostering the role of venture capitals, and From 2007 to 2012, Single start-up business has been fostered by government policies. Generally speaking, it can be said that venture-startup policy was emphasized on building the hardware infrastructure of venture-startup and supporting with the funds.

This research investigates comparisons and characteristics of government's startup polices between startup for micro-enterprise and technology based startup. In particular, revitalization plans of "New Business Start-up Academy (NBSA)" which is supported by a governmental organization, are proposed. Currently, korean government's startup polices are focusing on more technology based startup than startup for micro-enterprise. In order to overcome this issue, this research examines the current issues of the startup policies for micro-enterprise and the detailed plans for revitalizing micro-enterprises' startups. As detailed research studies, the current program and supporting mechanism of NBSA are analyzed. Then, these are compared with several startup policies of Korea government and the detailed action plans are proposed. The proposed results contributes to the criteria and the references for vitalizing micro-enterprises' startups.

The purpose of this study is to find out how the support system of the government and the local governments for enhancing the success rate of the startup firms affected the performance of the enterprises according to the behavior characteristics of the founders. It is divided entrepreneurial support system into entrepreneurial policy support such as entrepreneurial education, mentoring and consulting, and funding of startup support such as policy fund and R & D fund, distinguished the behavior of founder into behaviors for discovery of entrepreneurial opportunities and behaviors for exploiting entrepreneurial opportunities. In order to analyze whether it affects the corporate management performance, a research model was created based on the previous research and hypotheses were set up, and the hypotheses were verified based on this questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows: First, it is found that the support for entrepreneurial policy has a positive effect on the behavior characteristics of entrepreneur. Second, it is found that the startup support such as policy fund affects the behavioral characteristics for finding the opportunity of the founder, but it does not affect the behavioral characteristics for the opportunity exploit. Third, it was found that the behavior characteristics of entrepreneur founding opportunity and exploition of entrepreneurial opportunity influenced the performance of the company. According to the this study, the following conclusion were obtained, First, it is necessary to apply different policies according to the stage of growth of startup companies. Second, startup companies grow through the stages of development of new technologies and ideas, commercialization, and marketing, at each stage, entrepreneur must overcome the so-called Death Valley, which requires funding.

The dynamic analysis is performed for cold, warm, and hot startups and shutdown. The operating characteristics of an horizontal drum type HRSG are analyzed as well. This analysis was performed by ProTRAX which is a commercial software developed by TRAX Corp.

This study drew a conclusion about the current situation and the trend of start-up in Korea by understanding the convenience of start-up and startup outcome(business satisfaction and income after startup) by year, and by analyzing the trend of the convenience of start-up by each detail items and by industry. In addition to, the key factors of successful business start-up are demonstrated by synthetically examining how the factors influence the outcome of startup, including human capital, business characteristics, economic feature, and situational/institutional characteristics, as well as demographic characteristics. According to the result, business satisfaction after startup by year and business income have gradually increased from 2005, but the convenience of start-up has constantly decreased. Based on the industry, the convenience of start-up shows a statistical significance. Lastly, the factors that influence the outcome of business start-up are complexly turned up as human capital, business characteristics, economic feature, and situational/institutional characteristics, as well as demographic characteristics.

The sub-zero cold is a major environmental consideration for the operational readiness of FCEVs because fuel cells produce water and utilize wet air with varying water content to generate electricity. Typical fuel cells thus have a fatal flaw in freezing conditions at startup. This drawback becomes more serious with the outsourced fuel cell that is entirely water-based for its internal humidification. In this background, the HMC's self-designed fuel cell was developed as an alternative and was employed in the Tucson-based FCEV in 2006 demonstrating its good cold-startup characteristics. The cold-startup capacity of the vehicle was validated through tests in the cold chamber and on the road, resulting in 50% stack power achieved in 250 seconds at $-15^{\circ}C$.

The investment in healthcare industry has recently increased not only for global ventures but also for the domestic ventures. However, there has been hardship of founding and investment caused by healthcare startups characteristics that are costly and time consuming. In this study, the applicability of 'Lean Startup' theory to healthcare ventures was explored through the case of a domestic startup which accomplished funding from VC and KOSDAQ after establishing based on its technology in healthcare industry. There have been numerous case studies that applied 'Lean Startup' to IT industry. However, this case study that applied 'Lean Startup' to healthcare industry have some implications as follow: First, it is critical to conduct a hypothesis testing at initial research stage through R&D of 'MVP' (Minimum Viable Product) as the prototype testing is strictly prohibited in healthcare industry. Second, healthcare R&D teams ought to be well organized as startup teams and all researchers should be equipped with entrepreneurship as the licensing process in healthcare industry is time-consuming and costly due to issues like clinical studies. Lastly, management skills as smart and light as 'Lean Startup' are required in order to encourage young engineers' technology startups.

During the rapid startup transient of a centrifugal pump, in order to investigate its transient characteristics, the torque equations are deduced. Based on these equations, numerical simulation is carried out with the Large Eddy Simulation(LES) method and UDFs(User Defined Functions) are applied during the simulation. Comparison between simulation and experiment results of pump heads and rotational speed shows that they are in good agreement, indicating that the dynamic characteristics of this pump can be predicted accurate comparatively through simulation with LES method during its startup process.

This study fulfilled analysis of startup characteristics of Turbo pump unit-Gas generator open loop test from the viewpoint of simulation. The test results were investigated and the calculated results were compared to test results. The curve for RPM developing predicted by simulation agreed well with test result. The slope of transient combustion pressure of gas generator correspond with test result.
