XML has been proposed as a document standard for the representation and exchange of data on the WWW, and also becoming a standard for the search and reuse of scattered documents. When implementing a XML contents management system, special consideration should be imposed on how to model data and how to store the modelled data for effective and efficient management of the semi-structured data. In this paper, we proposed a new data model for the storage and search of XML document data. This proposed data model could represent both of data and structure views of XML documents, and be applied to the new data system for XML documents as well as the existing data systems.

Business rules and procedures should be standardized for efficient B2B integration, But a lot of companies are its own XML documents instead of standard document, Therefore many organizations try to make standards for e-commerce based on framework. Also, in case use supply chain administration system, because document transmit between corporation use on-line, need messaging system that can transfer XML message In this paper, XML messaging system is designed and implemented. Client requests service in XML and server returns response in XML in this system, So we con more easily and efficiently to exchange document between company this XML messaging system.

The difficulties in dealing with the Bioinformatics data come more from its idiosyncrasies than from its quantity Currently researchers need to an easy method for data exchange, manage, update. In order to integrate and manage all kinds of biological data, it is reasonable to adopt XML as standard tool since XML is independent of operating system, programming language and hardware platform. Although XML in Bioinformatics has been used widely as a standard notation abroad, however it is the beginning step in the domestic research. This article reviews a basic concept of XML and how to apply XML modeling in Bioinformatics. In addition we present XML applications for genomic sequences, structures and genetic network modeling.

ebXML (Electronic Business using extensible Markup language), sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS, is a modular suite of specifications that enables enterprises of any size and in any geographical location to conduct business over the Internet. Using ebXML, companies now have a standard method to exchange business messages, conduct trading relationships, communicate data In common terms and define and resistor business processes. It is the mission of ebXML that provides an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties for creating a single e1ectronic electronic market. This paper briefly overviews the concept of core component, context, assembly rule and context rule. Then, It designs by standard specifications of ebXML core component commonly used in an industry and among industries, and assembles business messages by using XML schema. Therefore, it suggests the mechanism which effectively exchanges business messages among the trading partners. This paper designs core component by using only three business messages of retail industry : orders, dispatch report, sales report.

XML has been established as a de facto standard for representing and exchanging documents, and has been widely used as a logical data model. Using XML as a logical database model, it requires a conceptual model for the semantics that XML has. However, the existing conceptual models, such as Entity Relationship models and UML, have been extended their concepts to express the specific characteristics of XML, but so far, there are no standard models. This paper compares the characteristics of the typical model of conceptual model of XML by Extended Entity Relationship model from the perspective of database field. For this, we propose the requirements that must be met for XML, and on the basis of these requirements, the approaches of each model are compared.

In e-Marketplace, many companies are participating frequently either as supplier or as customer. Thus, electronic processing of transactions and flexible integration with participating companies' processes are required. These situation requires process integration using workflow and the exchange of transaction document using XML(eXtensible Markup Language). This paper presents methodologies to model business processes in e-Marketplace where many companies are participating and to exchange electronic messages using ebXML that have become a standard in electronic commerce. These methodologies can integrate and manage processes in electronic commerce environment, and can process ebXML standard documents efficiently, making electronic commerce more harmoniously in global market. The system constructed in this research supports business processes between companies by exchanging XML messages conforming Wf-XML and ebXML standards using SOAP protocol.

As the XML is approved standard language by the UN, the progress which complemented the XML security has being processed rapidly. In this paper, we design and implement the "XML-Signcryption" as a security mechanism to protect the XML document that can operate between other platforms. The signature and encryption which is the standard specification in W3C needs to be able to proceed them separately. Generally the signature and encryption require four times modular exponential operation, however the signcryption only needed three times modular exponential operation. This will benefit overall system effectiveness in terms of cost. And this scheme offers to convenient the user, because the signature and encryption implement as a single XML format. This tool can save the parsing time as a number of tags is few within a document. And also, in this paper, based on a research of Web Services security, we can apply XML-Signcryption to the SOAP message to provide the security services. Based on the XML-Signcryption scheme which provides confidentiality, integrity, authentication and non-repudiation to the XML document and Web Service security simultaneously.

RConsumer Portal is defined as "a combination of hardware and software that enables two-way communication between energy service providers(ESP, like KEPCO) and equipment within the consumer's premises". The portal provides both a physical link(between wires, radio waves, and other media) and a logical link(translating among language-like codes and etiquette-like protocols) between in-building and wide-area access networks. Thus, the consumer portal is an important, open public shared infrastructure in the future vision of energy services. This paper presents an XML based standard specification of service-oriented, open protocol for consumer portal system architecture. In the framework level, the XML protocol provides a useful bridge between services and platforms. The proposed standard protocol has been implemented into our developing consumer portal pilot system. The results imply the potential of global standards for consumer portal system by its minimum overhead in network and processor. The reposed XML is designated psXML in this paper.
