BEMT를 이용한 1 kW급 수평축 풍력발전용 로터 블레이드 형상 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimum Rotor Blade Design of the 1 kW HAWT by BEMT)

  • The optimum design and the performance analysis software called POSEIDON for the HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) was developed by use of BEMT. The Prandtl's tip loss theory was adopted to consider the blade tip loss. The aerodynamic characteristics of NACA 63-415 airfoils were predicted via X-FOIL and the post stall characteristics were estimated by the Viterna's equations. All the predicted aerodynamic characteristics are fairly well agreed with the Velux wind tunnel test results. The rated power of the testing rotor is 1 kW at design conditions. The power, estimated by use of predicted lift and drag coefficient via X-FOIL becomes a little higher than experimental one.

  • The Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) analysis of the 3-D steady flow around the NREL Phase VI horizontal axis wind turbine(HAWT) rotor was performed. The CFD analysis results were compared with experimental data at several different wind speeds. The present CFD model shows good agreements with the experiments both at low wind speed which formed well-attache flow mostly on the upper surface of the blade, and at high wind speed which blade surface flow completely separated. However, some discrepancy occurs at the relatively high wind speeds where mixed attached and separated flow formed on the suction surface of the blade. It seems that the discrepancy is related to the onset of stall phenomena and consequently separation prediction capability of the current turbulence model. It is also found that strong span-wise flow occurs in stalled area due to the centrifugal force generated by rotation of the turbine rotor and it prevents abrupt reduction of normal force for higher wind speed than the designed value.

  • Missile am fighter aircraft have been challenged by low restoring nose-down pitching moment at high angle of attach. The consequence of weak nose-down pitching moment can be resulting in a deep stall condition. Especially, the pressure oscillation has a huge effect on noise generation, structure damage, aerodynamic performance and safety, because the flow has strong unsteadiness at high angle of attack. In this paper, the unsteady aerodynamics coefficients were analyzed at high angle of attack up to 60 degrees around two dimensional NACA0012 airfoil. The two dimensional unsteady compressible Navier-Stokes equation with a LES turbulent model was calculated by OHOC (Optimized High-Order Compact) scheme. The flow conditions are Mach number of 0.3 and Reynolds number of $10^5$. The lift, drag, pressure distribution, etc. are analyzed according to the angle of attack. The results at a low angle of attack are compared with other results before a stall condition. From a certain high angle of attack, the strong vortex formed by the leading edge are flowing downstream as like Karman vortex around a circular cylinder. Unsteady velocity field, periodic vortex shedding, the unsteady pressure distribution on the airfoil surface, and the acoustic fields are analyzed. The effects of these unsteady characteristics in the aerodynamic coefficients are analyzed.

충북 북부지역의 가축분뇨처리실태와 개선대책 (A Study on the Animal Waste Management in Northern Chungbuk Province and its Strategy)

  • A study was conducted to develop a management policy of animal waste in Northern Chungbuk province through investigating the status of animal waste management. In management of swine manure, rotary composting including a simple piling method has a portion of $64\%$ using as a liquefied fertilizer $18\%$, purification $9\%$ and ocean dumping $9\%$ respectively. Most of them use the animal waste as a fertilizer to the agricultural land. The exercise ground of dairy farms was bedded with $70\%$ of sawdust and $30\%$ of conventional soil ground besides the stall. They had a storage tank for the waste water from milking parlor. Korean beef cattle farms mostly run sawdust stall, which changed new one in a term of 6$\~$12 months. In case of layer, manure management was conducted in the order of simple piling method, rotary composting and ventilation into the piling mostly. Comparing the amount of excreted animal manure with that of possible spreading, the latter can be spread more than 2.9 times than the former in Northern Chungbuk province. The Northern Chungbuk province is an appropriate place to carry out an environmentally friendly animal production. An utilization model as a liquefied fertilizer should be developed for paddy field, upland field, orchard, and forage field to in-crease the value of animal waste effectively.

동물(젖소)건강 Monitoring system 모델 개발 V. 임상학적 위해요소 분석 (Development of Animal Health Monitoring System Model V. Analysis of Risk Factors in Clinical Part)

  • An animal health monitoring system in Gyeongnam area (near-Chinju) was studied to evaluate the environmental risk factors, physical examinations and 4 disease entities(abomasal displacement, traumatic reticulopericarditis & -peritonitis, milk fever and lameness) in 40(34 in second year)dairy herds (total 1253 dairy cattle). In feeding environments, we examined housing system, forage percentage in ration, stall types, playground, cleanness of stall. In housing system, most of herds (60%) have tie-stall types and 36 herds are open-type housing. The forage ratio of ration was less than 50% in most of herds (67%). 39 herds had their own playgrounds and the frequency of playground cleanness was irregular, Physical examinations included the T(temperature), P (pulse), R (respiration), abnormalities of superficial lymph nodes, claw examination and total CBC with blood from tail veins. T, P, R are within normal limits (T : 38.1$\pm$0.6$^{\circ}C$, P : 84.6$\pm$12.9/min., R : 24.0$\pm$7.6/min. ,respectively), the swelling of lymph nodes were shown in 13 cattle and overall claw trimming was required in 3 herds. In blood examination, 23 cattle showed leuko-cytosis and 7 cattle showed low RBC and hemoglobin level, the other cattle were within normal limits (WBC : 8.90$\pm$2.06 10$^3$/ul., RBC : 6.36$\pm$1.02 10$^{6}$ ul, Hb : 9.83$\pm$ 1.20 g/dl PCV : 27.43$\pm$5.67 %, respectively). In 4 disease entities, we found some metallic foreign bodies in men of 13 cattle, which had predisposing factors of traumatic reticulopericarditis and reticuloperitonitis, 13 abomasal displacement, 51 milk fever and lameness in 39 cattle.

이차원 타원형 날개꼴의 실속제어에서 간헐제트 브로잉의 효과 (Effects of Pulsating Jet Blowing on Stall Control of Two Dimensional Elliptic Airfoil)

  • 이차원 타원형 날개꼴에서 펄스제트 브로잉에 의한 박리 제어 효과에 대하여 연구하였다. 박리 유동의 능동제어기술 개발을 위하여 압축공기를 사용하는 연속제트/간헐제트 엑츄에이터를 설계제작하여 타원형 날개 풍동 실험 모델에 장착하였다. 아음속 유동에서 날개 주위 유동장의 PIV 측정과 유동의 가시화을 통하여 간헐제트 브로잉의 타원형 날개의 실속제어 효과와 실용성에 대해 실험연구를 수행하였다. PIV 실험 결과 제트 브로잉에 의해 난류 후류 영역과 박리 버블의 크기를 현저하게 감소시킴으로써 박리제어가 가능함을 보였다. 간헐제트는 연속제트보다 박리제어에 보다 효과적이었다. 간헐제트의 주파수를 증가시키면 보다 높은 받음각에 이르기까지 난류 박리 후류를 효과적으로 억제할 수 있었다.

  • 실증적인 압축시스템 구현을 위해 관로 유동 모델을 기존의 압축 시스템 모델에 적용하였다. 두 모델의 결합을 위해 압축시스템을 구성하는 압축기, 플래넘, 쓰로틀 벨브 와 각 구성 품을 연결하는 배관의 접점에 적절한 경계 조건을 사용하였다. 본 연구를 통해 관로 유동 모델이 압축 시스템의 안정성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • A critical issue in the field of the rotor aerodynamics is the treatment of the wake. The wake is of primary importance in determining overall aerodynamic behavior, especially, a wind turbine blade includes the unsteady airloads problem. In this study, the wake generated by blades are depicted by a free wake model to analyse unsteady loading on blade and a new free wake model named Finite Vortex Element(FVE hereafter) is devised in order to include a wake-tower interaction. In this new free wake model, blade-wake-tower interaction is described by cutting a vortex filament when the filament collides with a tower. This FVE model is compared with a conventional free wake model and verified by a comparison with NRELand SNU wind tunnel model. A comparison with NREL and SNU data shows validity and effectiveness of devised FVE free wake model and an efficient.

차량용 보조발판의 센서리스 직류전동기 위치 제어 (Sensorless Position Control of DC Motor for the Auxiliary Scaffolding)

  • This paper presents the sensorless position control of an auxiliary scaffolding step system for vehicles using DC motors. The designed auxiliary scaffolding step has a mechanical protector at the stop position. At this position, the scaffolding is forcibly stopped by the mechanical protector, and the motor current is dramatically increased to the stall current of the DC motor, thereby increasing the electrical damage. In this study, the estimated back EMF- and current model-based observers are proposed to estimate the motor speed and stop position. A simple V/F acceleration voltage pattern is used to operate the auxiliary scaffolding system. The estimated moving position is adopted to determine the stop position of the DC motor with the load current state. The operating current of the DC motor can be reduced by the estimated moving position and V/F acceleration pattern. At the stop position, the proposed sensorless position controller can smoothly stop the DC motor with the estimated moving position and reduced load current without any mechanical and electrical stress from the stall current from the mechanical protector. The proposed control scheme is verified by the comparison of simulations and experiments.
