  • Inkjet printing is commonly used in the controlled deposition of solutions of functional materials in specific locations on a substrate, and it can provide easy and fast deposition of polymer films over a large area. which could become a way to manufacturer low cost solar cells. In the present study, inkjet printing technology is adopted to deposit functional layers of PEDOT/PSS solutions and P3HT/PCBM blends for organic solar cell. The results show that merging of separately deposited ink droplets into a continuous, pinhole-free organic thin film could be achieved by a balance between ink property and substrate treatment. As a result, a power conversion efficiency of 2.0% has been accomplished a solar cells applying inkjet technology.

  • In order to improve the damage tolerance of the conventional laminated composites, threedimensional fiber structures incorporated with stitching yams have been utilized in this study. From the newly developed process termed as TAPIS(TApe Placement Incorporated with Stitching), carbon/epoxy composites have been fabricated. Two-dimensional composites with the same stacking sequence as 3D counterparts have also been fabricated for the property comparison. To examine the damage resistance performance the low speed drop weight impact test has been adopted. For the assessment of damage after the impact loading, specimens were subjected to C-scan nondestructive inspection compression after impact(CAI) were also conducted to evaluate residual compressive strength. Although the damage area of 3D composites was greatly reduced$(30-40\%)$ compared with that of 2D composites, the CAI strength did not show drastic improvement.

  • CFRP composite has a lot of merits such as mechanical characteristic, light weight and thermal resistance. For these merits CFRP is applied to so many industrial area. In order for the composite materials to be used in the aircraft structures or machine elements, accurate surfaces for bearing mounting or joints must be provided, which require precise machining. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48p1ies specimen with the ${\phi}8$, ${\phi}10$, ${\phi}12mm$ cemented carbide drill. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, stack thickness and drill diameter.

  • $\beta$-SiC whiskers could be formed from a system of mullite-carbon-hydrogen by VLS mechanism at elevated temperatures. It was considered that methane gases were generated from the reaction of hydrogen gases with carbon black, and were reacted with mullite to produce two kinds of gases; silicon suboxide (SiO) and carbon monoxide (CO) of precursors of SiC. With increasing the synthesizing temperature up to 146$0^{\circ}C$, the formation of $\beta$-SiC whisker increased from 0.58 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ to 3.98 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ on the basis of unit area of carbon block, and the diameters of whiskers had their uniformity due to the reduction in stacking faults.

  • Data Security is the most challenging area in Internet communication, where most of the secret sharing schemes are proposed for binary images. But still it lacks in providing security for data communication, especially in image transmission. Traditional visual cryptography scheme generate meaningless diwies and the reconstruction phase leads to quality degradation over the secret image. In this work, an intelligent two dimensional secret share construction scheme is proposed. A secret image is expanded into n diwies with the choice of scheme selection. By Stacking all the qualified diwies to revert the secret image without content loss and less than s* - 1 shares could not reveal any information about the secret image. The experimental results emphasize that the proposed secret share scheme is highly secured for image transmission.

  • Sub-salt imaging is an unsolved hot issue in subsurface imaging area. We tested several important properties in imaging sub-salt structures to provide a clue to this problem. Reverse time migration using velocity models obtained by waveform inversion produced better results than that of stacking velocity analysis. Sub-salt imaging results were highly dependent on the size and shape of a salt structure. The results were not clear when the velocity of a salt structure is significantly higher than that of adjacent layers.

  • Colloid silica using as abrasive for polishing sapphire has been extensively studied, which mechanism has also been deeply discussed. However, by the requirement of application enlargement and cost reduction, some new problems appear such as silica service life time, particle diameter mixing, etc. In this paper, several influences of colloid silica usage on sapphire CMP are examined. Results show particle diameter and concentration, pH value, service life time, particle diameter mixing heavily influence removal rate. Further analysis discloses there are two main effect aspects which are quantity of hydroxyl group, contact area for abrasive density stacking between abrasive and sapphire. Based on the discussions, a dynamic process of sapphire polishing is proposed.

  • This paper proposes a data mining approach to predicting stock price direction. Stock market fluctuates due to many factors. Therefore, predicting stock price direction has become an important issue in the field of stock market analysis. However, in literature, there are few studies applying data mining approaches to predicting the stock price direction. To contribute to literature, this paper proposes comparing single classifiers and ensemble classifiers. Single classifiers include logistic regression, decision tree, neural network, and support vector machine. Ensemble classifiers we consider are adaboost, random forest, bagging, stacking, and vote. For the sake of experiments, we garnered dataset from Korea Stock Exchange (KRX) ranging from 2008 to 2015. Data mining experiments using WEKA revealed that random forest, one of ensemble classifiers, shows best results in terms of metrics such as AUC (area under the ROC curve) and accuracy.

  • In this paper, we proposed the two-parameter model for predicting the residual strength in CFRP laminated composites subjected to high velocity impact and developed and formulated it based upon Cparino's by using the ratio of impact and the normalized residual strength. Critical indentation was obtained by the statical indentation tests. Impact tests were carried out through air-gun type impact equipment with the velocities varied 30-100m/sec. Projectiles were steel balls with 5 and 7mm in diameter. Test material was carbon/epoxy. The specimens were composed of [ .+-. 45 .deg. /0 .deg. /90 .deg. ]$\_$2/ and [ .+-. 45 .deg. ]$\_$4/stacking sequences and had 0.75$\^$T/*0.26$\^$W/*100$\^$L/(mm) dimension. Results from the proposed model were in good agreement with the test data. And failure mechanism due to high velocity impact is given here to examine the initation and deveolpment of damage by fractography and ultrasonic image system. The effects of the 0 .deg. -direction ply position and the amount to damage area on the residual strength are considered here.
