In this paper, we design a robust controller of biped robot system with uncertainties, using recurrent neural network. In our proposed control system, we use the self-recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN). The SRWNN makes up for the weak points in wavelet neural network(WNN). While the WNN has fast convergence ability, it dose not have a memory. So the WNN cannot confront unexpected change of the system. However, the SRWNN, having advantage of WNN such as fast convergence, can easily encounter the unexpected change of the system. For stable walking control of biped robot, we use sliding mode control (SMC). Here, uncertainties are predicted by SRWNN. The weights of SRWNN are trained by adaptive laws based on Lyapunov stability theorem. Finally, we carry out computer simulations with a biped robot model to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control system,.
This paper proposes suitable gait generation for dynamic walking of biped robot with varying load in real time. Author proposes the relationship between ZMP(Zero Moment Point) and measurement from FSR(Force Sensing Register). Simplifying this relationship, it is possible to reduce the computational time and control the biped robot in real time. If the weight of the biped robot varies in order to move some object, then joint trajectories of the the biped robot must be changed. When some object is loaded on the biped robot in it's home position, FSRs can measure the variation of weight. Evaluating the relations between varying load and stable gait of the biped robot, it can walk adaptively. This relation enables the biped robot to walk properly with varying load. The simulation is also represented in this paper which shows proposed relationships.

We propose an analytic trajectory planning method using a wavelet neural network (WNN) for a natural and stable locomotion of the 9-link biped robot. We design a appropriate locomotion, which have a kick-action, by means of a ballastic walking model condition. In this paper, a WNN is used to interpolate the trajectory planed by the analytic method. Finally, we show the proposed trajectories through the computer simulation.

This paper presents the comparison of FRI(Foot Rotation Indicator) point and ZMP(Zero Moment Point) in biped robot stability. We showed FRI may be employed as a useful tool in stability analysis in biped robot. Also, we proposed the balancing joint trajectory derived from FRI point equation for stable gait. The numerical calculation routines and walking algorithms for simulation are performed by MATLAB. The procedure is composed of the leg trajectory planning, the generation of balancing trajectory, and the verification of dynamic stability.

As a new algorithm for RC tree delay estimation, we propose a $\tau$-model of the driver and a moment propagation method. The $\tau$-model represents the driver as a Thevenin equivalent circuit which has a one-time-constant voltage source and a linear resistor. The new driver model estimates the input voltage waveform applied to the RC more accurately than the k-factor model or the 2-piece waveform model. Compared with Elmore method, which is a lst-order approximation, the moment propagation method, which uses $\pi$-model loads to calculate the moments of the voltage waveform on each node of RC trees, gives more accurate results by performing higher-order approximations with the same simple tree walking algorithm. In addition, for the instability problem which is common to all the approximation methods using the moment matching technique, we propose a heuristic method which guarantees a stable and accureate 2nd order approximation. The proposed driver model and the moment propagation method give an accureacy close to SPICE results and more than 1000 times speedup over circuit level simulations for RC trees and FPGA interconnects in which the interconnect delay is dominant.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce a case study of developing a miniature biped robot. The biped robot has a total of twenty-one degrees of freedom(DOF) ; There are two legs which have six DOF each, two arms which have three DOF each and a waist which has three DOF. RC servo-motors were used as actuators. We have developed motor controller, sensor controller and ISA-interface card. Motor controller, PWM generator, can control eight motors Sensor controller is connected to eight FSR(Force Sensing Resistors). For high level controller communicate with low level controller, ISA-interface card has developed. For the stable walking, CMAC(Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) neural network algorithm is applied to our system CMAC is robust at noise.

This paper presents a robust control method via the intelligent adaptive backstepping design technique for stable walking of nine-link biped robots with unknown model uncertainties and external disturbances. In our control structure, the self recurrent wavelet neural network(SRWNN) which has the information storage ability is used to observe the uncertainties of the biped robots. The adaptation laws for all weights of the SRWNN are induced from the Lyapunov stability theorem, which are used for on-line controlling biped robots. Also, we prove that all signals in the closed-loop adaptive system are uniformly ultimately bounded. Through computer simulations of a nine-link biped robot with model uncertainties and external disturbances, we illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system.

A number of Humanoids are introduced including ASIMO, HRP-2 Promet, Johnniee, Babybot, and KHR-2. Most researches are focused on the development of stable biped walking of Humanoids and it is not easy to endow an Humanoid with intelligence and service technology until now in the sense that the operation time of a Humanoid is limited less than 30 minutes even in the case that the battery is used only for the control of actuators in a Humanoid. In this paper, a brief survey on Humanoids is proposed and the concept of 'Network-based Humanoid', a Humanoid being able to provide intelligence for human-friendly services using ubiquitous networks, is introduced briefly.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate mean plantar foot pressure, maximum plantar pressure and ground reaction force, and center migration path of pressure according to the type of trekking shoes for the development of shoes. Method : Subjects of the study averaged $22.10{\pm}2.05years$ of age. Their average height was $169.27{\pm}7.62cm$ and their average weight was $64.34{\pm}10.22kg$. The method of this study was administered measuring 50 steps, at once, 3 times at a speed of 4 km/h and using the data of 30 steps. Pedar-X system measured the mean foot pressure, maximum foot pressure, mean maximum force, and center migration path of pressure by subjects' position while walking. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 23.0 using a paired t-test. Results : Results of the study showed Nestfit trekking shoes lower foot pressure of both feet in mean foot pressure and maximum foot pressure. Nestfit trekking shoes showed high ground reaction force (p<.001) in the midfoot, and low mean ground reaction force in the rearfoot. The center migration path of pressure showed the Nestfit trekking shoes were more stable than flat insole trekking shoes. Conclusion : It can be concluded that wearing Nestfit trekking shoes spreads pressure efficiently and induces walking stability because Nestfit trekking shoes spread the pressure of the forefoot and rearfoot to the midfoot and the center migration path of pressure shows regularly.
