Evaluation of Characteristics of Simulated Radioactive Vitrified Form Using Cooling Methods (냉각 방법에 따른 모의 방사성폐기물 유리고화체의 특성평가)

  • In order to examine and compare the characteristics of two vitrified forms (AG8W1 and DG2) simulated for the operation of a commercial vitrification facility being constructed in Ulchin nuclear power plant, the vitrified forms were cooled by the natural cooling and annealing methods respectively. And the Product Consistency Test (PCT), compressive strength, thermal conductivity, specific heat, phase stability, softening point and Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) of the vitrified farms were experimented. Consequently, it was shown that there were no significant differences on the physiochemical properties of the vitrified forms performed the natural cooling and annealing.

A Study on the Statistical Distribution of Ultrasonic Velocities for the Condition Evaluation of Concrete Wide Beam (콘크리트 넓은 보의 상태평가를 위한 초음파 속도의 통계학적 분포에 대한 연구)

  • The ultrasonic pulse velocities of pressure, shear, and Rayleigh waves ( P-, S-, and R- waves) have been used for the condition evaluation of various concrete structures, but the statistical distribution according to the wave type has not been studied clearly in view of data reliability and validity. Therefore, this study analyzed the statistical distribution of P-, S-, R-wave velocities in concrete wide beams of $800{\times}3100mm$ (width ${\times}$ length) with a thickness of 300 mm. In addition, we investigated an experimental consistency by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit test. The experimental data showed that the R-, S- and P- wave velocities in order have better statistical stability and reliability for in situ evaluation because R- and S-waves are less sensitive to confinement and boundary conditions. Also, good correlations between wave velocities and strength and modulus of elasticity were found, which indicate them as appropriate techniques for estimating the mechanical properties.

  • This study wished to inspect about certificate of origin issuance authorities subject in certificate of origin issuance mode by spread of FTA, and investigate about improvement plan of current certificate of origin issuance authorities choice for smoothness trade business our country in FTA age to be expanded gradually. Fundamental purpose and meaning of FTA strengthen industry competitive power of two countries because expand trade and investment between the agreement conclusion country, and is expected to esteem agreement target department's estimation at FTA certificate of origin issuance subject choice because is meaning that strengthen trade competitive power, and raise trade company's convenience. Therefore, our country FTA representative authorities is recognized authoritativeness and stability from trade company and trade connection authorities, and is suitable in legal application or institution that can propel with consistency about policy propelled hereafter has to be chosen, FTA agreement country is representative authorities that recognize, and to issue from customs services which is a government agency which can progress business is place of origin issuance business and the place of origin examination, is expected to become more and more effective.

Animal Fur Recognition Algorithm Based on Feature Fusion Network

  • China is a big country in animal fur industry. The total production and consumption of fur are increasing year by year. However, the recognition of fur in the fur production process still mainly relies on the visual identification of skilled workers, and the stability and consistency of products cannot be guaranteed. In response to this problem, this paper proposes a feature fusion-based animal fur recognition network on the basis of typical convolutional neural network structure, relying on rapidly developing deep learning techniques. This network superimposes texture feature - the most prominent feature of fur image - into the channel dimension of input image. The output feature map of the first layer convolution is inverted to obtain the inverted feature map and concat it into the original output feature map, then Leaky ReLU is used for activation, which makes full use of the texture information of fur image and the inverted feature information. Experimental results show that the algorithm improves the recognition accuracy by 9.08% on Fur_Recognition dataset and 6.41% on CIFAR-10 dataset. The algorithm in this paper can change the current situation that fur recognition relies on manual visual method to classify, and can lay foundation for improving the efficiency of fur production technology.

A Study on the Characteristics of Yellow Layer Cake with Added Buckwheat Flour (메밀 가루를 첨가한 Yellow Layer Cake의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the properties of yellow layer cake with added buckwheat flour. The physical properties of the cake flour with added buckwheat flour were tested by RVA, farinogram, and alveogram, and then, after making the yellow layer cake, the samples were analyzed by rheometer. We found that the pasting temperature decreased with the addition of buckwheat flour in the cake flour, but peak viscosity, holding strength, and final viscosity increased. For the farinogram, the flour containing buckwheat showed increases for consistency and water absorption, but stability was decreased. The $P_{max}$ of the alveogram was not consistent according to the addition of buckwheat flour to the cake flour. The L- and G-values showed decreases, but they were not significant. After making the yellow layer cakes with added buckwheat flour, crumb softness was analyzed with storage for 7 days. The hardness and Max. G of the yellow layer cakes with buckwheat flour increased, and the highest values were after 1 day of storage. However, springness decreased with the addition of buckwheat flour as compared to the control, and showed the highest value at 7 days.

Study on the Stability Evaluation of Concrete Erosion Control Dam by using Non-destructive Test for Compressive Strength (콘크리트 비파괴시험법을 이용한 사방댐 안정도 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate a stability trend within 6 above average and 4 blow average erosion control dams, which were selected by The Korean Association of Soil and Water Conservation and were built in 1990s in Gyeonggi and Gangwon Province. The study was aimed to measure rebound hardness of upstream face, flood way and downstream face from those dams selected by using 'Concrete Test Hammer'. The main purposes of the study are selection of compression strength prediction equation and scope of wavelength, which successfully demonstrate non-destructive test results for erosion control dams. There is an opportunity to increase disaster prevention ability when stability vulnerability of concrete erosion control dam is detected in a timely manner. Results of the compression strength investigation express that there is a consistency with visual inspection of stability that has been processed by The Korean Association of Soil and Water Conservation. We concluded that a prediction equation, which was developed by Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ), shows highest suitability in Korean erosion control dams when stability investigation is performed. The detailed criteria for the test result are 'stable', 'detail inspection required' and 'poor' for over 300 $kgf/cm^2$, 250~300 $kgf/cm^2$ and below 250 $kgf/cm^2$ respectively. Standards for stability of Korean erosion control dam and a compression strength prediction equation (that corresponds to the standards of the stability) should be established on the basis of chronological data of erosion control dam compression strength. Systematical approach for stability inspection that carries out remodeling or repair when problem on erosion control structures are detected through visual inspection and simple stability test, is necessary for the future disaster prevention.

Development of a Hydraulic Servo Cylinder with an Integrated Feedback Mechamism (일체형 파드백 기구를 갖는 유압 서보실린더 개발 연구)

  • This paper presents a new type of hydraulic servo chllinder which is characterized by its simple construction and an ubtegrated feedback mechanism. Piston position of the cylinder is controlled by eletrical input and mechamical feedback deduced from its own structure. Hydraulic pressure in each cylinder room is controlled by a poppet valve. The poppet is activated by a solenoid and is linked to the piston. Solenoid input current pulls up the poppet, which results in pressure drop and thus piston motion. The piston motion generates pull down force on the poppet by the linkage and the motion stops at equilibrium. In that way the piston position is controlled by an expernal input current. Characteristics of the servo cylinder is verified by stability analysis, tranient vehavior and steady state positing for step input. Design parameter analyses have been executed by derivation of analytical approximate solutions and by computer simulations. A prototype hydraulic servo cylinder is developed and tested. The experimental results show successful function of the servo cylinder and consistency with the theoritical results.

Development on Integrated Information System for Preventing National Earthquake based on Real-Time Connection of Underground Informations (지하정보 실시간 연계 기반의 국가지진방재 통합정보시스템 개발)

  • Recently, National Emergency Management Agency constructs integrated information system for preventing national earthquake based on underground information. In the past, there are numerous difficulties in construction and management of underground information, because underground information is constructed by each management agency. But a link and application of underground information are available because of government 3.0. This study shows the integrated information system for preventing national earthquake based on real-time link of underground information. The integrated information system for preventing national earthquake developed in this study consists of boring information input modules, underground information search/analysis modules based on V-world tile map, user authority management modules, user management modules and real-time liaison interface modules. Also, this study proposes enhancement plan to construct integrated information system for preventing national earthquake stably and strongly. Stability test conduct on stability of data storage, system stability and consistency of processing speed test results show stability of the integrated information system for preventing national earthquake is high.

Mortar Characteristics for Reinforcement of Ancient Tomb Murals Using Oyster Shells

  • The application of reinforcing agents with hydraulic property and strength development characteristics was studied under conditions similar to those of mural-painting mortar made with oyster shell powder. Reinforcement mortar made with oyster shell powder showed hydraulic properties and strength to supplement the weaknesses of natural hydraulic lime(NHL); this confirmed its possibility as a wall-reinforcing material with enough strength for preserving mural paintings. Reinforcement mortar 1 showed hydraulic property and general characteristics of lime mortar, such as consistency and viscosity, as well as lower strength and higher whiteness compared to an NHL product. For Reinforcement mortar 2, the original wall sample characteristics were reflected by mixing more shell produced through calcination; and it showed similar strength to that of Reinforcement mortar 1 as well as high whiteness. In measuring the contraction ratio of reinforcement mortar samples, Reinforcement mortar 1 and 2 showed more stability in property change compared to the NHL Group.

GPU-based Stereo Matching Algorithm with the Strategy of Population-based Incremental Learning

  • To solve the general problems surrounding the application of genetic algorithms in stereo matching, two measures are proposed. Firstly, the strategy of simplified population-based incremental learning (PBIL) is adopted to reduce the problems with memory consumption and search inefficiency, and a scheme for controlling the distance of neighbors for disparity smoothness is inserted to obtain a wide-area consistency of disparities. In addition, an alternative version of the proposed algorithm, without the use of a probability vector, is also presented for simpler set-ups. Secondly, programmable graphics-hardware (GPU) consists of multiple multi-processors and has a powerful parallelism which can perform operations in parallel at low cost. Therefore, in order to decrease the running time further, a model of the proposed algorithm, which can be run on programmable graphics-hardware (GPU), is presented for the first time. The algorithms are implemented on the CPU as well as on the GPU and are evaluated by experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm offers better performance than traditional BMA methods with a deliberate relaxation and its modified version in terms of both running speed and stability. The comparison of computation times for the algorithm both on the GPU and the CPU shows that the former has more speed-up than the latter, the bigger the image size is.
