스월 동축형 분사기의 리세스 길이에 따른 혼합특성에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Mixing Characteristics for Recess Length of Swirl Coaxial Injector)

  • 고성능 다단연소방식 액체 로켓엔진에 사용되는 기체 중심 스월 동축형 분사기의 리세스 길이 변화에 따른 혼합특성을 수치해석을 통해 연구를 수행하였다. 실제 추진제의 상(phase)은 기체(산화제)-액체(연료)형이지만, 모사조건을 통해 기체-기체로 고려하였다. 추진제의 확산각도를 측정하기 위해 분사기 출구에서의 속도 분포 및 추진제의 분무형상을 분석하였다. 리세스 길이가 증가함에 따라 축방향 속도는 증가하는 반면, 탄젠셜 방향 속도는 감소하였다. 이 결과 확산각도가 감소하는 정성적인 특징을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 친환경 추진제인 과산화수소($H_2O_2$)와 케로신을 추진제로 하는 액체 로켓 엔진에서의 막냉 각 장치 개발을 목적으로 이를 위하여 막냉각링을 설계/제작하고, 수류 시험을 통해 분무 특성과 공급 유량을 확인하였다. 또한 설계/제작된 막냉각링의 성능 예측을 위하여 열해석을 수행하였다. 수류 실험 결과 설계 유량(42.25g/s)이 공급됨을 확인하였고, 상대적으로 유속이 빠르고 홀 개수가 많은 막냉각링이 더 좋은 분무패턴을 보임을 확인하였다. 또한 열해석 결과 설계된 막냉각링이 충분한 냉각 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다.

초음파 개질 경유의 점도 및 표면장력 측정을 이용한 발열량 직접 계산 (A Direct Calculation of Higher Heating Values of Ultrasonic Reformed Diesel Fuels by Using Their Viscosity and Surface Tension Measurements)

  • The objective of this study is to develop the new equations for the calculation of higher heating values(HHVs) of reformed diesel fuels by ultrasonic treatment. Therefore, higher heating values of reformed diesel fuels by ultrasonic treatment are determined experimentally and calculated from their viscosity and surface tension measurements. The HHVs of the fuels are supposed to be a function of viscosity(Pa s) and surface tension(N/cm). The equations developed for the samples represent the correlation obtained by means of regression analysis. The HHVs calculated by developing new equations using viscosities showes the differences from the measured values ranging from -0.66 to 1.19 % and the correlation coefficient was -0.9411. The HHVs calculated by developing new equations using surface tensions showed the differences from the measured values ranging from -0.70 to 1.51 % and the correlation coefficient was 0.9999. The viscosity and the surface tension are characteristic properties of ultrasonic reformed diesel fuels for developing new formulae.

기능성 필름의 열처리 온도에 따른 특성 분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Functional Films according to the Annealing Temperature)

  • Because of the low pollution resistance of the porcelain electrical insulator itself, in this work the anti-pollution performance of insulator was improved by using the functional coating. The ceramic substrates that components were same as the porcelain electrical insulator were used in this experiment. The functional films were coated on the ceramic substrate by using a spray coating method, and then the coated substrate were annealed under different coating condition such as natural curing and annealing temperature of $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$. Then, the contact angles of the coated surfaces were measured and the minimum angle ($8.3^{\circ}$) was obtained at $400^{\circ}C$. The anti-contamination properties were measured, revealing that as the contact angle decreased, the anti-contamination properties improved. The hardness and adhesion were small at the natural curing condition however the excellent mechanical properties were obtained under higher temperature annealing.

  • Many researchers are recently studying about Electroactive polymer(EAP). But it has a physical limitation, because of property of material. Carbon nanotube(CNT) is known as the promising material which has excellent electro-mechanical characteristics and is mostly defect-free. It is expected that a successful synthesis of CNT and Nafion known as a primary material for IPMC would make a great improvement on its electro-mechanic feature. This study focuses on the method of synthesis of CNT with Nafion which improves electro-mechanical characteristic. To come up with mechanical dispersion with Nafion and Isopropyl Alcohol(IPA), we dispersed Single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs). For a uniformly layer of CNT, we used a spray gun on a hot plate by a simplified method. We fabricated a disperse SWCNT/Nafion composite uniformly. Through the use of the E-beam evaporator to form an uniform electrode layer, we consummated the IPMC actuator. This result shows improving 1.5 times mechanical properties about driving force in IPMC.

  • $H_2$O/Kerosene을 사용하여 Unlike 충돌형 인젝터(FOOF형)에서 산화제와 연료의 운동량비 변화에 따른 혼합효율을 측정하였다. 모의 추진제의 운동량비 1.5(총혼합비 1.89)에서 혼합성능은 최대 값을 나타내었으며 모의 추진제의 실험결과는 실제 추진제인 LOX/Kerosene에 적용하여 혼합특성속도 효율을 예측하였다 연구 결과 혼합특성속도 효율은 운동량비 2.0에서 최대 값을 나타내었다. 이러한 예측은 실제 연소실험을 통하여 얻어진 연소효율과 약간의 차이는 있으나 초기설계자료로서 충분한 가치가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

압축착화 디젤엔진의 모사 EGR 시스템에 의한 소음 특성 변화 분석 (Study on Noise Generation Characteristics of Simulated EGR System for Compression Ignition Diesel Engine)

  • Experimental study was conducted to investigate the effect of EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) on engine noise using single cylinder combustion ignition engine. Under constant engine rotary speed of 1200 RPM, 8 mg fuel quantity was injected with 15, 18 and 21% of oxygen ratio and 1400 bar of injection pressure. Using the in-cylinder pressure data acquired by a piezoelectric transducer, the engine performance parameters were calculated. Radiated engine noise measured for 10 seconds was analyzed using spectral characteristics and sound quality metrics such as loudness, sharpness, roughness. From the obtained engine performance parameters and sound quality metrics, effect of oxygen ratio of the premixed air, start of injection timing on frequency characteristic and sound quality metrics were analyzed. Correlation analysis was conducted between MPRR(maximum pressure rise rate), RI(ringing intensity) and sound quality metrics. RI was identified as the most important factor having influence on the sound quality metrics.

Comparison of Rheological Properties of Powder Chlorella sp. Cultivated in Fermentor and Pond

  • The current study was conducted to identify the differences in the rheological properties of Chlorella sp. powder cultured in a fermentor and in a pond-like environment. Cells. cultured in the same media were harvested and spray dried. The biomass yield from the fermentor culture was 4.7% (dry basis), while that from the pond was 4.3% (dry basis). Measurements of the loose bulk density, tapping test, Hausner's ratio, and compressibility test all revealed differences between the rheological properties of the Chlorella sp. from the two cultivation systems. Although both the fermentor and pond cultured Chlorella sp. showed the same angle of repose, the mean size of the cells was 2.26 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and 2.89 $\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. The weight of the Chlorella sp. tablets cultured in the fermentor and pond was 0.663 g/tablet and 0.593 g/tablet, respectively, while the friability of the tablets was 21% and 41%, respectively. Observation by Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) showed that the cell wall of the Chlorella sp. cultured in the fermentor was thinner and more spherical than that cultured in the pond, thereby providing the main characteristic rheological properties of the powder.

축하중을 받는 내화피복 CFT기둥의 온도분포 특성 (Characteristics of Temperature Distribution of Axially Loaded CFT Column with Fire Protection)

  • 화재발생시 콘크리트충전 강관(CFT)기둥은 강재의 표면이 고열에 직접 노출되기 때문에 강관의 내화피복에 따라 내화성능에서 많은 차이가 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 내화피복 CFT기둥의 온도분포특성을 파악하기 위하여 내화피복의 종류와 두께 및 내화시간을 변수로 하여 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 가열온도를 기준으로 내화성능은 내화뿜칠, 내화페인트, 무내화의 순으로 나타났다. 가열시간-위치별 온도분포는 콘크리트부분은 완만한 증가를 보이고 있으나, 강관외부표면에 도달하면 급격한 온도의 증가를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

연료첨가제 주입에 따른 승용차의 규제물질 배출특성 분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Regulated Pollutants Emitted from Passenger Cars according to Fuel Additives)

  • This paper was designed to investigate emission characteristics of regulated pollutants (CO, HC, NOx and PM) from 134 diesel and gasoline passenger cars based on emission standards according to fuel additives. The experiments using chassis dynamometer were conducted under NEDC and CVS-75 modes. Comparison for fuel additive management and test between Korea, USA, EU and Japan, Korea was more strict than others. The fuel additives of this study was satisfied within fuel manufacturing standards. For with/without fuel additives according to diesel emission standards, NOx of EURO 4 and EURO 5 showed a relatively similar tendency. In the case of PM reduction rate, EURO 5 was over 20% increased than EURO 4. In the case of standard deviation/average ratio for gasoline vehicles, variation interval was big for LEV 23.3~58% and ULEV 31.6~56.4%. Following the imposition of stricter regulations (EURO 5 and ULEV), difference rate for standard deviation was big. Especially, in the case of diesel vehicles, difference rate for NOx 68% and PM 48% was most big. The results of present study will be of assistance in completing the legislative process and will provide basic data to set up emission standards for fuel additives in Korea.
