  • The importance of record management is emphasized in various fields. In the field of sports in particular, the importance of record management is key, and many efforts are being made to keep a record of the history of many sports. Therefore, in this study, a plan to develop a sports record information service centered on basketball was proposed. In this study, the sports records information service development plan that is described not only has an eye toward developing technology, but is also described from the perspective of records management, which has recently been in high demand. To this end, a demand analysis was conducted on prospective users through FGI, and procedural elements of record analysis were derived. In addition, the system structure and database schema were designed, and a screen for managing and browsing records was presented. Through this study, it is expected that research on sports record management will be able to be actively conducted in the record management field.

  • The purpose of this research is aimed at billiards experts and non-experts during the billiard stroke: a comparative analysis of concentration and muscle activity, identifying the differences between the two groups by the objective and scientific data is presented to propose the basis for effective and efficient training methods of billiards. The results of the study showed no significant differences in muscle activity and concentration between experts and non-experts. Therefore, the muscle activity and concentration between the experts and non-experts had no positive effect during the billiard stroke. These causes are thought to be as a lack of research subjects, being a one-time experiment, and not being able to control psychological and physiological experiments completely. In this regard, psychological and physiological experiments are considered to be controlled for further study to determine the principles more clearly.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sports massage in the recovery period after maximal exercise on heart rate(HR), oxygen uptake(OU), and blood lactate(BL) of ssireum players. The participants of this study were consisted of 24 ssireum players in university team(UT) and business team(BT). The first experiment had a rest recovery period for 20 minutes after the maximal exercise, and the second experiment gave a sports massage was performed the order of abdominal, waist and lower legs in a prone position for 20 minutes. The interaction effects of massage treatment and recovery period in HR showed a higher recovery ability in both the UT and BT when the massage treatment was given 10 minutes after recovery than when it was not given. The main effects of recovery period showed in all variables of HR, OU, and BL. The main effects of BL on massage treatment was significant low in both the UT and BT when the massage was given. And, the main effects of OU was significantly lower only in the BT. In conclusion, compared sports massage treatment on ssireum players after maximal exercise positively affected the recovery mechanism of HR, OU, and BL than the rest recovery method.

  • Big data analysis in healthcare research seems to be a necessary strategy for the convergence of sports science and technology in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic review to secure the diversity of big data and healthcare convergence by discussing the concept, analysis method, and application examples of big data and by exploring the application. Text mining, data mining, opinion mining, process mining, cluster analysis, and social network analysis is currently used. Identifying high-risk factor for a certain condition, determining specific health determinants for diseases, monitoring bio signals, predicting diseases, providing training and treatments, and analyzing healthcare measurements would be possible via big data analysis. As a further work, the big data characteristics provide very appropriate basis to use promising software platforms for development of applications that can handle big data in healthcare and even more in sports science.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of turmeric intake and weight training on blood alcohol concentration, liver enzyme levels of and their effects on health promotion in adult males. There was no significant difference of taking turmeric powder combined with weight training exercise on blood alcohol levels in adult men who consumed alcohol on a regular basis. There was also no change on the change of body composition. The results were collected from elite athletes that had spent more than 10 years in their respective sports so it is difficult to observe any significant results from 8 weeks, short-term exercises of 1RM 70~80%, 3 times per week. In the next study, it is necessary to divide the subjects into more diverse groups and subject them by varying amounts of turmeric intake, exercise, etc., in order to fully study and understand the effects on blood alcohol level, change, and health promotion. Consequently, this study demonstrated there were no significant differences in the effects of continuous drinking habits of adult men's turmeric powder intake and weight training exercise on changes in GOT, GPT, γ-GTP, and blood alcohol concentrations. Moreover, health improvements themselves didn't affect changes in body composition.

  • In today's media environment, TV programmers and advertisers must strive ever harder to attract the attention of audiences. Yet what may be even more crucial is engaging audiences in conversations on social media and nourishing stronger relationships. To provide insights into how to improve audience experiences through social media television coviewing (STVC) behaviors, this study investigates audience motivations for using social networking sites (SNSs) while watching sports program (i.e., social media television coviewing-STVC) and examines relationships between identified motivations and key audience engagement outcomes. The results reveal four motivations for STVC behaviors: sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, convenience seeking, and socializing. Further, results reveal that sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, and socializing motivations are significant predictors of satisfaction, investment, and commitment to the program. Audience engagement outcomes are not predicted, however, by convenience seeking or by variables pertaining to SNS-use regarding STVC behaviors.
