A real-time method to measure full field retardation near quarter wavelength is proposed. The circularly polarized beam passes through a sample with a large aperture. The measuring beam then goes through a quarter-wave plate and is then split by a Wollaston prism. An image with two sub-images is then detected by a high-speed image sensor. The full field retardation near quarter wavelength can be obtained in real time by processing the image. The measured retardation is independent of the fast axis angle of the sample and the fluctuation of the initial intensity. In experiments, a wedge waveplate is measured with different fast axis angle and initial intensity, and the full field retardations are acquired. The maximum and standard deviation of the full field retardation is $1.5^{\circ}$ and $0.4^{\circ}$. The validity of the method is verified.

Prefabricated partially-encased composite (PEC) structural component is widely used in construction industry due to its superior structural performance and easy assembly characteristic. However, the solid web in traditional PEC components tends to split concrete into two halves, thus potentially reduces structural integrity and requires double concrete pouring. To overcome the above disadvantages, a new PEC beam with open-web π-shaped steel is proposed in this paper. Four open-web PEC beams with varying sectional height, flange thickness and web void rate were constructed and tested under flexural loads. During experimental tests, all beams exhibited typical flexural failure modes with strong moment capacities and excellent ductility. Owing to the unique construction form of web opening, steel-concrete bonding properties were enhanced and very small relative steel-concrete slips were observed. Experimental results also showed that the flexural capacity of such PEC beams increased with the increase of the sectional height and flange thickness, while was not affected by the web void rate. At last, a flexural capacity formula of the open-web PEC beam was proposed based on the whole section plastic rule. The formula results agreed well with experimental results.

It is difficult for existing beams to ensure the sufficient embedding depth due to constructional cause. Owing to these problems, currently FRP-Rod embedding repair method run parallel with a section increasing method in many case. In this study, anchor pin was adopted to solving the problems of the sliding of FRP-Rod and the unified behaviors of the repaired beam without increasing the section. In the experiments, split failure of covering concrete and slippage of the FRP-Rod were not occurred. it was confirmed that FRP-Rod shown the integrate behaviors with RC beam till the repaired beams destroyed.
To perform performance-based seismic design of buildings, it is necessary clear goal for usage and stability after an earthquake. To clear this goal, it requires a review of the constituent material of the building and, in particular, a member used as an indicator of the residual strain is useful. There are more usage of prestressed concrete because of prestressing steel witch has characteristics of the origin-oriented. In this study, the goal is estimating of residual strain on the prestressed concrete beam member. The expression for angle of deformed prestressed concrete beam member was obtained from using of curvature on the critical section and the equivalent plastic hinge length based on 'equivalent plastic hinge length method'. Considering the balance of strength and deformation conditions, suitable analysis values were derived from 'split Element Method'. Through various parametric studies, various factors affecting the residual strain were decided. Based on the results of this study, it is expected many researches will be proceed in the future.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of artistic gymnastics on the kinetics. This study analyzed the 76 published papers in the Journal of Korean Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance and Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics between 1995 and 2006. Papers were split into two groups for analysis, 1995-1999 and 2000-2006, and classified according to research methods, areas, and main topics. Conclusions are as follow. First, method of research were kinematical research(80.3%), kinetic(17.1%), and EMG research(2.6%). Second, areas of research were hi-bar(31.6%), vault(23.7%), parallel bars(21.1%), floor exercise(13.2%), rings(3.9%), balance beam(3.9%), uneven bars(2.6%). Last, main topic of research were focused on vault Tsukahara skill(13.9%), hi-bar flight skill(11.4%), parallel bars support skill(10.1%), hi-bar dismount skill(8.9%), floor exercise salto skill(8.9%).

This paper describes the effect of various molding pressure for Mode I. Mode II interlaminar fracture toughness of carbon fiber reinforced plastic composites by using double cantilever beam(DCB), end notched flexure(ENF) and end loaded split(ELS) Specimen. The value of $G_{IC}$, $G_{IIC}$ as a function of various molding pressure is almost same at 307, 431, 585 kPa, however it shows highest value under 307kPa molding pressure, The SEM photographs show good fiber distribution and interfacial bonding of composites when the molding pressure is the 307kPa.

Spacecrafts such as most of commercial satellites that are operating in the geostationary orbit can be subjected to intense irradiation by charged particles. The surface made of dielectric materials can therefore become probable sites for damaging electrostatic discharges. Thanks to a specially equipped chamber, the spatial environment can be reproduced experimentally in the laboratory. In this paper, the behavior of high energy electrons injected in polymers such as PolyMethylMetaAcrylate (PMMA) and Kapton is studied. Results obtained by surface potential technique, pulse-electro acoustic device and a cell based on the split Faraday cup system are analyzed and discussed.
In the present investigation the experimental and theoretical flexural and compressive behavior of short tubular steel columns filled with plain concrete and fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) was examined. For a given length of the members, the effects of different geometry and dimensions of the transverse cross-section (square and circular) were investigated. Constituent materials were characterized through direct tensile tests on steel coupons and through compressive and split tension tests on concrete cylinders. Load-axial shortening and load-deflection curves were recorded for unfilled and composite members. Finally, simplified expressions for the calculus of the load-deflection curves based on the cross-section analysis were given and the ultimate load of short columns was predicted.

Bond between reinforcing bar and surrounding concrete is supposed to transfer load safely in the process of design of reinforced concrete structures. Bond strength of ribbed reinforcing bars tends to split concrete cover, by wedging action, or shear the concrete in front of the ribs. In this study, using a reducing bearing angle theory, bond strengths of beam end specimen are predicted. Values of bond strength obtained using the analytical model are in good agreement with the bond test results. The analytical model provides insight into bond mechanism and the effects of bearing angle on the bond strength of deformed bars to concrete.
