분자 드래그 회전자 형상에 따른 복합분자펌프의 배기성능에 관한 실험적 연구

  • Recently, high vacuum pumps are widely used in the semi-conduction and liquid-crystal display ( LCD ) process. The composite-type high vacuum pumps are widely used in the various processes. In this study, the pumping performance of composite-type molecular pumps has been investigated experimentally. The experimented pumps are a compound molecular pump ( CMP ) and hybrid molecular pump ( HMP ). The CMP consists with helical-type drag pump, at lower part, and with turbomolecular pump ( TMP ), at upper part. The HMP consists with disk-type drag pump, at lower part, and with TMP, at upper part. The experiments are performed in the outlet pressure of $0.2\;{\sim}\;533\;Pa$. Analysis of Two-Dimensional Flow Fields in the Multi-Stage Turbomolecular Pump Using the DSMC Method

  • The direct simulation Monte Carlo Method is applied to investigate the two-dimensional flow fields of a turbomolecular pump(TMP) in both molecular and transition flow regions. The pumping characteristics of the TMP are investigated for a wide range of the Knudsen number. The maximum of compression ratio and of pumping speed strongly depend on the Knudsen number in transition region, while they weakly depend on the Knudsen number in free molecular flow region. The present numerical results show good agreement with the previously known experimental data. Finally. the results of the single blade row in both molecular and transition regions are used to predict the overall performance of a TMP, which has three kinds of blade with 24-rows.

충격관을 이용한 $C_2H_2$의 폭굉특성연구 (A Study on the Detonation Characteristics of $C_2H_2$in Shock Tube)

  • Detonation phenomena of $C_2H_2$were invesgated using the various shock tube. To study the detonation characteristics according to the composition of $C_2H_2-0_2$$_2$ and $C_2H_2$-air mixtures, the composition were varied from 5 to 90% and 5 to 50% of acetylene each other. A spiral ring was installed in the shock tube to study the effect of obstacles in DDT phenomena. Detonation velocities were measured using the photodiode, and the DDT phenomena was visualized using the high speed schlieren photograph. From the experimental result, it was found that the detonation velocity was most high near the 1. 8times the stoichiometric ratio of acetylene. And from the visualization of DDT phenomena, it was found that the detonation wave was strengthened throuth the pile up of small compression wave of burned gas. And the obstacles in shock tube accelerate the detonation reaction by turblent effect of flammable gas mixture.

  • The performance of screw compressor depends on lots of design parameters of rotor profile, such as length of seal line, wrap angle, blow hole, suction and discharge port size, number of rotor lobe, etc. The optimum rotor profile makes it possible to increase the compression efficiency with low energy consumption, and to minimize the loss of power. In this research, a new rotor profile design and performance analysis are done by computer simulation. It is expected that the volumetric efficiency is improved because the internal leakage is reduced due to the minimization of blow hole and clearance, and the stiffness of rotors is increased due to the reduction of length to diameter ratio. Also, the specific power consumption will be secured for use ranging from low to high operation speed.

  • This paper presents different issues of the real-time compression algorithms without compromising the video quality in the distributed environment. The theme of this research is to manage the critical processing stages (speed, information lost, redundancy, distortion) having better encoded ratio, without the fluctuation of quantization scale by using IP configuration. In this paper, different techniques such as distortion measure with searching method cover the block phenomenon with motion estimation process while passing technique and floating measurement is configured by discrete cosine transform (DCT) to reduce computational complexity which is implemented in this video codec. While delay of bits in encoded buffer side especially in real-time state is being controlled to produce the video with high quality and maintenance a low buffering delay. Our results show the performance accuracy gain with better achievement in all the above processes in an encouraging mode.

Simulation of Modeling Characteristics of Pumping Design Factor on Vacuum System

  • Recently, with the development of advanced thin film devices comes the need for constant high quality vacuum as the deposition pressure is more demanding. It is for this reason our research seeks to understand how the variable design factors are employed in such vacuum systems. In this study, the effects of design factor applications on the vacuum characteristics were simulated to obtain the optimum design modeling of variable models on an ultra high vacuum system. The commercial vacuum system simulator, $VacSim^{(multi)}$, was used in our investigation. The reliability of the employed simulator was verified by the simulation of the commercially available models of ultra high vacuum system. Simulated vacuum characteristics of the proposed modeling aligned with the observed experimental behavior of real systems. Simulated behaviors showed the optimum design models for the ideal conditions to achieve optimal pressure, pumping speed, and compression ratio in these systems.

기계적 합금법으로 제조된 Al-Ni 합금계의 고온특성 (High Temperature properties of Mechanically Alloyed Al-Ni System)

  • Mechanical alloying process of Al-8wt.% Ni powder was investigated for the various milling time in order to get the steady state powder. High temperature deformation behaviors of the sintered specimens were investigated by activation energy calculated after high temperature compression tests at the strain rates of 2.5$\times$10-3 s-1, 2.5$\times$10-2 s-1 and 2.5$\times$10-1 s-1 at the temperature range between $350^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$. The steady state was obtained after 1000 minutes of milling with the PCA of 1.5 wt.% stearic acid under the condition of grinding media to powder weight ratio of 50 : 1 and impeller rotating speed of 300 rpm. True activation energy of Al-8wt.% Fe alloy was estimated to be 181 kJ/mole at the temperature range of 350~ $400^{\circ}C$ and 265 kJ/mole at the range of 400~$450^{\circ}C$.

H.264/AVC 디코더용 인트라 예측기의 효율적인 하드웨어 구현 (An Efficient Hardware Architecture of Intra Prediction in H.264/AVC Decoder)

  • H.264/AVC is the upcoming video coding standard of ITU-T H.264 and ISO MPEG-4 AVC. The new standard can achieve a significant improvement up to 50% in compression ratio compared to MPEG-4 advanced simple profile. In this paper, we propose the novel intra prediction scheme to speed up intra prediction process in H.264/AVC decoder and show the hardware architecture for it. The proposed scheme uses the concurrent processing of the 4$\times$4 intra prediction, which is based on that some 4$\times$4 block pairs in a 16$\times$16 luma block can be processed concurrently. The proposed scheme can reduce intra prediction time by 33 %.

해성 점성토의 소성지수에 따른 보정압축지수 평가에 관한 기초연구 (A Fundamental Study on Evaluation of Corrected Compression Index by Plasticity Index in Marine Clayey Soils)

  • 연약지반 설계에 중요한 지반정수는 압축지수($C_c$)이며, 현장의 압밀침하량 및 압밀침하속도를 산출하는데 필요하다. 이러한 압축지수 산정은 실내압밀시험을 통해 얻어지는데, 실내압밀시험에서는 반드시 시료교란이 발생하며, 이러한 교란현상을 보정하기 위하여 Schmertmann(1955)이 제시한 보정 압축지수 산정방법이 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 최근 시료 샘플링기술의 발전과 국내 지반조건 등이 Schmertmann이 제시한 것과 상이하므로 이에 대한 검증이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 저소성 실트(ML), 저소성(CL) 및 고소성 점토시료(CH)에 대하여 교란도를 변화시켜 압밀시험을 실시하여 각각의 압밀곡선의 교차 간극비를 평가하였다. 시험결과 저소성 실트(ML)의 경우 $0.521e_0$, 저소성 점토(CL)의 경우 $0.404e_0$, 고소성 점토(CH)의 경우 $0.458e_0$로 산정되어, Schmertmann이 제시한 $0.42e_0$의 보정값과 다른 결과를 확인하였으며, 흙의 종류에 따른 소성지수(PI)를 활용한 보정식을 제안하였다. 그러나 본 연구결과는 한정된 지역에서의 시험결과이므로 흙의 소성도에 따른 압축지수 보정방법을 제시하기 위해서 다양한 국내 점토에 대한 후속연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

가솔린엔진 대상 성능시험시의 노킹보정률을 사용한 엔진 수정토크의 편차개선 (Method of Decreasing the Deviation of Corrected Engine Torque using Knock Correction Rate in Gasoline Engine Performance Test on Dynamometer)

  • Recent trends of development in small size gasoline engines are both to have higher compression ratio for the purpose of improved fuel consumption and to advance spark timing up to DBL in a low to mid engine speed region for a good acceleration performance of vehicles. However, there occurs the deviation of corrected engine torque results during engine performance test on dynamometer because test conditions influence the onset of knock. Therefore, this research shows the test deviation of corrected engine torque decreases when knock correction rate is used.
