Gamma 다층 신경망을 이용한 비선형 적응예측 (Nonlinear Prediction using Gamma Multilayered Neural Network)

  • 동적 신경망은 시스템 식별과 신호예측과 같이 temporal 신호처리가 요구되는 여러 분야에서 적용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 신경망의 동특성을 향상시키기 위해 순방향 다층 신경망의 히든 층에 감마(Gamma) 메모리 커넬을 사용하는 감마 신경망(GAM)을 제안하고, 적응필터로 제안된 신경망을 사용하여 비선형 적응예측을 다루고 있다. 제안된 신경망은 비선형 신호예측을 통해 평가되었으며, 예측성능의 상대적인 비교를 위해 순방향 신경망(FNN)과 리커런트 신경망(RNN)과 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과에 의하면 GAM 신경망은 수렴속도와 예측의 정확도에서 이러한 신경망보다 더 우수한 동작을 수행함으로써, 제안된 신경망이 기존의 다층 신경망보다 비정적 신호에 대한 비선형 예측에 더 효과적인 예측모델임을 확인하였다.

  • This report describes the analysis method of the full-scale propulsive performance by using the data of model test and the full-scale speed trial. The model test data were analyzed by the computer program "PPTT" based on "1978 ITTC Performance Prediction Method for Single Screw Ships." Also the full-scale speed trial data were analyzed by the computer program "SSTT" based on the newly proposed “SRS-KIMM Standard Method of Speed Trial Analysis." An analysis of model and full-scale test data was carried out for a 60.000 DWT Bulk Carrier and the correlation between model and full-scale ship was stuied.

  • Recently, many studies on air quality prediction models have been performed to develope new ones. The purpose of the study is to obtain a method to predict $SO_2$ concentration simply in urban area using hour-to-hour meteorological data such as the wind speed, the incoming solar radiation, and the cloud coverages. The relationships between with speed and $SO_2$ concentrations are plotted in flgures. Predicted concentration curves are obtained for equation C=b/(1+au).

  • This paper presents a speed controller for the Sinusoidal type BLDC motor using the sliding mode. Since the sliding mode control has some practical limitations such as the chattering phenomenon and reaching phase problems, the technique of overcoming these limitations is proposed in a practical realization. This proposed speed control technique is composed of an smooth integral variable structure control(IVSC), and chattering prediction method.

  • 최근 중국에서 중대형 도시철도의 급속한 발전으로 고속철도의 총 운행거리와 총 EMU(Electric Multiple Units) 수가 증가하고 있다. 고속 EMU의 시스템 복잡성은 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 이는 장비의 안전성과 유지보수의 효율성에 대한 더 높은 요구사항을 제시한다. 현재 중국의 고속 EMU의 유지보수 모드는 여전히 계획적인 유지보수 및 고장보수에 기반한 사후 유지보수 방식을 채택하고 있어 유지보수가 미흡하거나 과도하게 이루어지며, 장비 고장 처리의 효율성을 떨어뜨리고 유지보수 비용을 증가시킨다. PHM(진단 및 예측관리)의 지능형 운영 및 유지관리 기술을 기반으로 합니다. 본 논문은 고속 EMU의 서로 다른 시나리오의 다중 소스 이기종 데이터를 통합하여 "차량 시스템-통신 시스템-지상 시스템"의 통합 PHM 플랫폼을 구축하고, 장비 고장 메커니즘을 인공지능 알고리즘과 결합하여 고속 EMU의 트랙션 모터에 대한 고장 예측 모델을 구축한다. 고속 EMU의 안전하고 효율적인 작동을 보장하기 위해 고장 예측 및 정확한 유지보수를 사전에 수행해야 한다.

  • This paper describes aerodynamic preliminary design performance prediction and flow analysis for centrifugal compressor of the marine middle engine turbocharger. The performance characteristics of turbocharger compressor are investigated at various operating conditions using mass flow rate and revolution speed, and computational flow analysis for impeller and diffuser at design point are performed. Preliminary design results correspond to actual compressor geometric values comparatively by applying modified slip factor. Performance prediction and flow analysis results show good agreement with experiments. Therefore, this will provide the performance prediction in preliminary design, and help to increase the design capability for optimized impeller.

  • The prediction for tool life is one of the most important factors for increasing reliability, stability, and productivity of manufacturing system. This paper deals with a tool life prediction method in view of reliability assessment for cutting tools. In this study, flank wear was focused among multi-factors deciding the tool wear state. First, tool life was predicted by correlation between flank wear and cutting time, based on the extended Taylor tool life equation of turning, including parameters of cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth. Second, each of cutting conditions of end-milling was equivalently converted to apply ball end-mill data to the extended Taylor equation. The web-based prediction program for tool life was developed as one of reliability assessment programs for machine tools.

Enhanced Inter Mode Decision Based on Contextual Prediction for P-Slices in H.264/AVC Video Coding

  • We propose a fast macroblock mode prediction and decision algorithm based on contextual information for Pslices in the H.264/AVC video standard, in which the mode prediction part is composed of intra and inter modes. There are nine $4{\times}4$ and four $16{\times}16$ modes in the intra mode prediction, and seven block types exist for the best coding gain based on rate-distortion optimization. This scheme gives rise to exhaustive computations (search) in the coding procedure. To overcome this problem, a fast inter mode prediction scheme is applied that uses contextual mode information for P-slices. We verify the performance of the proposed scheme through a comparative analysis of experimental results. The suggested mode search procedure increased more than 57% in speed compared to a full mode search and more than 20% compared to the other methods.

사이드채널형 연료펌프의 성능예측 (Performance Prediction of Side Channel Type Fuel Pump)

  • The periphery pump (or regenerative pump) has been generally applied in the automotive fuel pump due to their low specific speed (high heads and small flow rate) with stable performance curves. In this study, the performance prediction of side channel type periphery pumps has been developed. The prediction of the circulatory flow rate is based on the consideration of the centrifugal force field in the side-channel and in the impeller vane grooves. For the determination of performance curve (head-flow rate), momentum exchange theory is used. The effects of various geometric parameters and loss coefficients used in the performance prediction method on the head and efficiency are discussed, and the results were compared with experimental data.

H.264/AVC 디코더용 인트라 예측기의 효율적인 하드웨어 구현 (An Efficient Hardware Architecture of Intra Prediction in H.264/AVC Decoder)

  • H.264/AVC is the upcoming video coding standard of ITU-T H.264 and ISO MPEG-4 AVC. The new standard can achieve a significant improvement up to 50% in compression ratio compared to MPEG-4 advanced simple profile. In this paper, we propose the novel intra prediction scheme to speed up intra prediction process in H.264/AVC decoder and show the hardware architecture for it. The proposed scheme uses the concurrent processing of the 4$\times$4 intra prediction, which is based on that some 4$\times$4 block pairs in a 16$\times$16 luma block can be processed concurrently. The proposed scheme can reduce intra prediction time by 33 %.
