Customer Satisfaction and the Fit between Supply Chain Context and Postponement-Speculation Strategies -The Case of Electronic Products- (공급체인의 투기 및 순연 전략 적합성이 고객 만족도에 미치는 영향 -전자제품을 중심으로-)

  • Supply chain (SC) strategies will influence corporate performance and customer satisfaction. However, few empirical research has investigated the impact of the gap between prescriptive and current strategy on customer satisfaction. Based on the profile analysis with data from 31 products, the results of this study show the significant relationship between customer satisfaction and the fit between SC context and speculation-postponement strategies. The results imply that different SC strategies should be applied in accordance with product attributes and supply environments.

Service Quality measures in Cyber Shopping Mall (가상 상점(Cyber Shopping Mall)의 서비스품질 측정)

  • With the explosion of internet users, there are many enterprises and organizations that regard the internet as the great marketing superhighway. Although fascination and speculation surrounds the impact of the cyber shopping mall on consumer shopping behavior, there is little empirical evidence underlying all this speculation. This article reports on the critical issues that consumers found salient as they browsed through cyber shopping malls. We gathered consumers’reactions via open-ended survey. We relate the reactions to the factors of tangibility, assurance, responsibility, empathy, and reliability which we had identified from the existing literature on service quality. Two additional questionnaires were administered to translate these factors to the cyber shopping mall context and to explore their relative salience. We also evaluated SERVQUAL and SERVPERF as service quality measures for cyber shopping malls. The results show that SERVPERF seems more promising than SERVQUAL. The results also suggest that cyber shopping mall merchants need to think more about how they perform on the issues known to affect customers’decision making for purchasing. We offer advice for enhancing the design of cyber shopping mall.

Comprehensive Measures in Real Estate Policy for Housing Market Stabilization (주택시장 안정화를 위한 부동산정책 방향)

  • The recent speculation fever in Kangnam and its southern vicnity of Seoul resulted in surging apartment prices. The government is determined to employ more effective anti-speculation policy measures to control the property speculative demand. The Government plans to implement support measures to discourage people from owning multiple homes by reinforcing tax measures. To meet the increasing demand for more large-sized apartments in Seoul, the Government may allow to build more large sized units. By the end of August, 'a comprehensive package tool of real estate policy measures' ,as a real estate controlling guidelines, is scheduled to be presented by the Government. We hope that the package tool will stabilize housing market more effectively and enhance the national economy.

  • This landscape design is a work for which we selected the square of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts as a object area, drew inhuman factors, and tried to restore them to human environment. This plan assumes that excessive urban environment results from disorder and man can keep it in order and restore it to human environment through the progressive process of speculation. In this plan, we included the least parking space and nearby roads in the object area to maximize the location feature and the symbol of cultural space, and planned that the object area may play its role of open space in the downtown. To grant the symbol of culture space, we established the progressive process of speculation and the relationship of mu, heaven and earth, and culture, geometrically diagrammatized it, combined the circular and rectangular lines derived from it, and suggested a plan. Urban environment will continue to change in the future. However, as long as it is not ensured that the change will progress upward, city would be far from human environment anyhow. Effects to display inhuman space overlooked in the downtown and restore it to human environment for citizen and location for man, should continue.

Feminizing of Real Estate Speculation -A Study on the Bokbuin in the Korean Narratives in 1970s~1980s (주거의 투기화, 투기의 여성화 -1970~1980년대 한국 서사에 나타난 복부인의 형상화 양상 연구)

  • In the 1970s, the full-scale development of the area now known as Gangnam began, ushering in the era of real estate investment on apartments which transformed housing styles in Korea. Apartments were pitched as the most ideal type of housing, creating a competitive market of high demand and skyrocketing prices. The apartments were also viewed as a means of quick asset investment among middle-class Koreans. Within this apartment frenzy stood the female real estate speculator, the bokbuin. This study seeks to locate the bokbuin in the real estate development market after the late 1970s. The apartment speculation boom cannot be attributed to the bokbuin alone, yet she became the target of public anger and criticism, singled-out as being responsible for fueling illegal and unethical investments. The apartment boom of the 1970s was in fact generated in large part by the government, developers, construction companies and realtors. While their pursuit of profit was deemed as legitimate, the bokbuin's conduct was mostly tainted by presumed illegitimate and greedy motivations. This study problematizes this gendering of real estate investment and treat the bokbuin as a byproduct of the family-centered culture in East Asia. Analyzing Im Kwon Taek's film "Mrs. Speculator", Park Ki Won's conte, "Bokbuin", Park Wan Seo's short story, "Children of Paradise", "The People of Seoul", this study shows that bokbuin's pursuit was not hers alone; it was the collective pursuit with her husband for the enhancement of family finances. This stud y argue that the bokbuin embodied the thickly misogynistic climate of the 1970s that projected the chaotic rise of greed onto the woman.
