In this study, the way how we can find the defects of motor windings in advance will be discussed. The magnetic flux spectrum in the high frequency region of the large motor was analyzed based on the actual fault practices related with motor windings. In case of defective motor relative amplitude ratio of the stator slot frequency to its sideband was very high compared to that of healthy motor. And the defective signal related with motor windings was indicated in advance in the magnetic flux spectrum prior to over 1 month before failure. Considering this aspect it can be estimated that magnetic flux spectrum in the high frequency region has the excellent predictive diagnostic capability.

The second part of paper related rotor failure is to evaluate that the axial magnetic flux measurement could be used as a tool of the condition monitoring system for the induction motor and to develope the diagnostic algorithm for the various fault in the electric motors. The magnetic leakage flux signal is captured by the flux coil located at the end of motor without the disturbance of the operation. And the signal is analyzed both time and frequency domain to detect the failure of the motor. Specific signature can be described in tin and frequency domain for each fault of the motor. The experimental test found that the rotor failures - broken rotor bar, broken end ing and rotor eccentricity, could be detected from the spectrum with high resolution. The method of detecting the rotor fault was found by analysing the specific frequency and the sideband of the rotor bar pass frequency from axial leakage flux spectrum. In addition the optimal flux coil and measuring equipment for the axial leakage flux measurement was verified and the diagnostic method for the detection of the rotor related failure was developed.
The measurements of the fast neutron flux and its spectrum have been carried out by the threshold detectors in the central thimble of TRIGA Mark-II reactor operating at 250 KW. The following reactions have been employed for these measurements, viz : Ni$^{58}$ (n, p) Co$^{58}$ ; $Mg^{24}$ (n, p) Na$^{24}$ ; $Al^{27}$ (n, $\alpha$) Na$^{24}$ . From the activation data the fast neutron spectrum were calculated by CDC-3600 computer making use of two semi-empirical methods. It has been verified that the validity of assumption of a fission spectrum in the central thimble exists only above 1 to 2 Mev energy level. With this spectrum, a fast neutron flux in the range of 1 $\times$ 10$^{12}$ n/$\textrm{cm}^2$-sec above the energy of 2.6 Mev was observed in the central thimble of TRIGA MARK-II reactor.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the axial magnetic flux measurement could be used as a tool of the condition monitoring system for the induction motor and to develope the diagnostic algerian for the electric motors. The magnetic leakage flux signal is captured by the flux coil located at the end of motor without the disturbance of the operation. And the signal is analyzed both time and frequency bases to detect the failure of the motor. Specific signature can be described in time and frequency domain for each faults of the motor. The spectrum of the signal was found more useful for the monitoring purpose. The supply voltage imbalance and tin to turn failure of the stator winding could be detected by analysing the specific sidebands of the axial flux and sideband of the rotor bar pass frequency with the high resolution spectrum. The goal of this study verity that the axial flux measurement for the induction motor is a powerful tool for the diagnostic method and develope the algorithm to detect the fault.

A cutoff probe is the novel diagnostic method to get the absolute plasma density with simple system and less assumption. However, high density of ion flux from plasma on probe tip can make the error of plasma density measurement because the dielectric material of probe tip can be damaged by ion flux. We proposed a shielded cutoff probe using the ceramic tube for protection from ion flux. The ceramic tube on probe tip can intercept the ion flux from plasma. The transmitted spectrum using the shielded cutoff probe is good agreement with E/M wave simulation result (CST Microwave Studio) and previous circuit simulation of cutoff probe [1]. From the analysis of the measured transmitted spectrum base on the circuit modeling, the parallel resonance frequency is same as the unshielded cutoff probe case. The obtained results of electron density is presented and discussed in wide range of experimental conditions, together with comparison result with previous cutoff method.
Geosynchronous electron flux dropouts are most likely due to fast drift loss of the particles to the magnetopause (or equivalently, the "magnetopause shadowing effect"). A possible effect related to the drift loss is the radial diffusion of PSD due to gradient of PSD set by the drift loss effect at an outer L region. This possibly implies that the drift loss can affect the flux levels even inside the trapping boundary. We recently investigated the details of such diffusion process by solving the diffusion equation with a set of initial and boundary conditions set by the drift loss. Motivated by the simulation work, we have examined observationally the energy spectrum and pitch angle distribution near trapping boundary during the geosynchronous flux dropouts. For this work, we have first identified a list of geosynchronous flux dropout events for 2007-2010 from GOES satellite electron measurements and solar wind pressures observed by ACE satellite. We have then used the electron data from the Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS) spacecraft measurements to investigate the particle fluxes. The five THEMIS spacecraft sufficiently cover the inner magnetospheric regions near the equatorial plane and thus provide us with data of much higher spatial resolution. In this paper, we report the results of our investigations on the energy spectrum and pitch angle distribution near trapping boundary during the geosynchronous flux dropout events and discuss implications on the effects of the drift loss on the flux levels at inner L regions.
This study purpose is propose the basic data for selecting the optimal target material by analyzing the photon characteristics of various materials which was located in the head of medical linear accelerator. In this study, energy spectrum of 6, 15 MV photon beams were compared and analyzed for 13 target materials using MCNPX of Monte Carlo method. The mean energy for the 6 MV energy spectrum was 1.69 ~ 1.84 MeV and that for the 15 MV was 3.38 ~ 3.56 MeV, according to the target material. The flux for the 6 MV energy spectrum was $1.64{\times}10^{-5}{\sim}1.80{\times}10^{-5}{\sharp}/cm^2/e$ and that for the 15 MV was $1.76{\times}10^{-4}{\sim}1.85{\times}10^{-4}{\sharp}/cm^2/e$. The analysis shows that the average energy and flux increase with higher atomic number of the target material. Based on this study, it is possible to present the basic data about the physical characteristics of the photon, and it will be possible to select the target later considering economic, efficiency and physical aspect.

Electromagnetic waves which are emitted from the Sun due to solar flare explosion can cause failures in HF radio communications in the day-side area of the Earth, that is so-call as Radio Blackouts. The international scale representing the severity of the Radio Blackouts is determined by the solar X-ray flux which is measured by United States Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite. However, the scale is not always applicable to HF communication users in the different area on the Earth, because the HF communication effects depend not only on the X-ray strength but also on the subsolar point location. To solve this problem, we developed a HF radio spectrum monitoring system utilizing a spectrum analyzer. This system conducts a real-time measure of the HF spectrum, and automatically calculates signal to noise ratios and the occurrences of the HF blackouts as comparing with the interference level which is described from the ITU recommendation.
A stud has been carried out for figuring out real photon spectrum from an observed gamma-ray spectrum by means of response matrix method, which is known one of the relatively convenient method for the estimation of exposure rate of a complex gamma ray field in comparison with graphical analysis and least square fitting of the measured spectrum. A 3'${\times}$3' cylindrical Nal(T1) scintillation detector in association with multichannel pulse height analyzer and six reference gamma ray sources covering the photon energy range of 0.05 to 2.0 MeV were used. In dividing the energy region for the construction of response matrix, two different approaches were attempted. One is dividing the entire energy region of interest into 20 bins, one of which corresponds to a width of 0.1 MeV to form $20{\times}20$ matrix, and another is dividing the 2 MeV region into 14 bins to form $14{\times}14$ matrix consists of $0.1(MeV)^{1/2}$ intervals assuming the resolution of the detector is dependent on square root of the incident photon energy. Inversion of thus constructed matrices was performed by a computor(P-E8/32) using the program attached to the end of this paper. The resultant exposure rates obtained by this method were in good agreement, within 10% with those calculated by ordinary formula widely used for a gamma-ray field of known energy and flux. It is concluded that the photen flux obtained by the response matrix constructed under the assumption of $E^{1/2}$ dependence is more realistic than that obtained by the matrix consist of identical energy bins in dosimetrical point of view.
The black hole occupation fraction in dwarf galaxies can provide an important clue for understanding the black hole seed formation. As a pilot feasibility study, we performed a KVN radio monitoring campaign over 8 months for 4 dwarf galaxies. Two galaxies (IC10 and NGC1569) are detected at 22 GHz, respectively with 39 mJy, 83 mJy. The measured flux (rms) variability is 13% and 8%, respectively for IC10 and NGC1569, while the mean flux uncertainty is 25% and 12%. Thus, the detection of the radio flux variability is at best marginal. Detecting flux variability of faint sources (i.e., 22 GHz flux < 200 mJy) seems challenging with the KVN single dishes. Combining with the 1.4 GHz flux measurements from the NVSS, we find that these two galaxies have a steep spectrum, supporting that the radio sources are AGNs. Instead of a monitoring, single-epoch multi-band observations can be effective for identifying radio AGNs by providing the constraint of the radio continuum slope.
