  • Most TCOs such as ITO, AZO(Al-doped ZnO), FTO(F-doped $SnO_2$) etc., which have been widely used in LCD, touch panel, solar cell, and organic LEDs etc. as transparent electrode material reveal n-type conductivity. But in order to realize transparent circuit, transparent p-n junction, and introduction of transparent p-type materials are prerequisite. Additional prerequisite condition is optical transparency in visible spectral region. Oxide based materials usually have a wide optical bandgap more than ~3.0 eV. In this study, single-phase transparent semiconductor of $SrCu_2O_2$, which shows p-type conductivity, have been synthesized by 2-step solid state reaction at $950^{\circ}C$ under $N_2$ atmosphere, and single-phase $SrCu_2O_2$ thin films of p-type TCOs have been deposited by RF magnetron sputtering on alkali-free glass substrate from single-phase target at $500^{\circ}C$, 1% $H_2$/(Ar + $H_2$) atmosphere. 3% $H_2$/(Ar + $H_2$) resulted in formation of second phases. Hall measurements confirmed the p-type nature of the fabricated $SrCu_2O_2$ thin films. The electrical conductivity, mobility of carrier and carrier density $5.27{\times}10^{-2}S/cm$, $2.2cm^2$/Vs, $1.53{\times}10^{17}/cm^3$ a room temperature, respectively. Transmittance and optical band-gap of the $SrCu_2O_2$ thin films revealed 62% at 550 nm and 3.28 eV. The electrical and optical properties of the obtained $SrCu_2O_2$ thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering were compared with those deposited by PLD and e-beam.

  • Flow induced vibration in a heat exchanger may cause damage to piping. The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of vortex shedding behavior through the circular tube banks at several tube locations, No.1, No. 10, and No. 19, with respect to time when the flow velocity of the inlet is constantly and periodically fluctuating.(60) The time characteristics of lift and the PSD characteristics were also investigated. In the case of periodic inlet flow velocity, strong vortex occurred at some time and after that time, a weak vortex was generated through the tube banks simultaneously. In the case of constant inlet flow velocity, the lift fluctuating frequency was 37.25Hz and that at the No. 19 tube was 18.63Hz and near 50Hz. In the case of periodic inlet flow velocity, the lift fluctuating frequency was 37.25Hz and 18.63Hz. The lift fluctuating frequency at No. 19 tube was observed broadly from 20Hz and 50Hz.

  • Statistical characteristic analysis was carried out using the non-tidal components computed by the harmonic analysis of the tidal elevation data in East coast. The tide gauging stations included in this study are the Sokcho, Mukho, Hupo, Pohang, Ulsan and Ulreungdo stations. In this study, the variance and skewness coefficient (SC) information changes, i.e., the max. value, min. value, mean and standard deviation of the variance and SC, are compared and analysed in detail by the various analysis periods increased from one year to the maximum available period. Based on the result of the statistical information (SI) range analysis, the minimum analysis period required in order to satisfy the confidence interval of the ${\pm}5%$ range of the variance and the ${\pm}0.1$ range of the SC is suggested as the 12 years, except the Ulreungdo stations. The auto-correlation and spectral density change patterns show the very similar shapes in every stations even though the absolute values are a little bit different each other.

  • To inspect how the different sensitivities in BAS(or BIS) modulate on the HRV pattern stimulated by positive or negative affective sound, we measured the electrocardiogram(ECG) of 25 students(male : 14), consisted of 4 groups depending on the BAS(or BIS) sensitivity, during listening meditation music or being exposed to noise. The power spectral density(PSD) of HRV was derived from the ECG, and the power of HRV was calculated for 3 major frequency ranges(low frequency[LF], medium frequency[MF], and high frequency[HF]). We found that the index of MF/(LF+HF), during listening music, was higher significantly in the individuals with a low BIS but high BAS than in the individuals with a low sensitivity in both BIS and BAS. Especially in the former group, there was a tendency that the index was higher during listening music than during being exposed to noise. For individuals with a high BIS, regardless of the BAS sensitivity, the difference of this index values was not significant. From these results we suggest that individuals with a low BIS but high BAS are more sensitive to positive affective stimuli than other groups, and the index of MF/(LF+HF) is applicable to evaluate positive and negative affects.

  • A dynamic analysis procedure is developed to provide a better estimation of the dynamic responses of bridge during the passage of high speed railway vehicles. Particularly, a three dimensional numerical model including the structural interaction between high speed vehicles, bridges and railway endures to analyse accurately and evaluate with in-depth parametric studies for dynamic responses of various bridge span lengths running KTX railway locomotive up to increasing maximum speed(450km/h). Three dimensional frame element is used to model the simply supported pre-stressed concrete (PSC) box bridges for four span lengths(40~25m). Track irregularity employed as a stationary random process from the given spectral density functions and irregularities of both sides of the track are assumed to have high correlation. The high-speed railway vehicle (KTX) is used as 38-degree of freedom system. Three displacements (Vertical, lateral, and longitudinal) as well as three rotational components (Pitching, rolling, and yawing) are considered in the 38-degree of freedom model. The dynamic amplification factors are evaluated by the developed procedure under various traveling conditions, such as track irregularity camber, train speed and ballast. The dynamic analysis such as Newmark-${\beta}$ and Runge-Kutta methods which are able to analyse considering the dynamic impact factors are compared and contrasted.

  • In this paper the analytical method, namely advanced minimum coupling loss(A-MCL), was proposed in order to analyze the coexistence of OFDM-based systems beyond 3G(B3G) with point-to point(PP) fixed service(FS) microwave systems. Our proposed method is based on a power spectral density(PSD) analysis. So it can be easily applicable to analyze the coexistence of OFDM-based systems B3G using flexible spectrum usage(FSU) with other systems, where the conventional MCL method cannot allocate transmit power partially to some subcarriers which overlap the band of a victim system. By applying the conventional MCL method and the A-MCL method, interfering power levels at the receiver of a interfered system are respectively calculated. A-MCL can calculate interference power more accurately than MCL by the maximum value of 4.5 dB. Therefore it can be concluded that our prosed method, namely A-MCL, is applicable to a sharing analysis of OFDM-based systems B3G.

  • In order to examine how climatological condition can influence on urban scale particulate air pollutants, single and cross spectrum analysis have been performed to daily mean concentrations of particulate matters ($PM_{10}$) in Busan together with the climatological variables over the Asian dust source regions. Single power spectrum analysis of $PM_{10}$ concentrations in Busan shows that, aside from the typical and well-known periodicities, 3-4 year of peak periodicity of power spectrum density was identified. In cross spectrum analysis, this 3-4 year periodicity is found to have a strong positive correlation with the wind speed and pressure, and negative with the temperature and relative humidity, which is rather consistent with both characteristics of air mass during the Asian dust event whose periodicities have been recorded inter-annually over the Korean urban cities. Over the Asian dust source regions, $PM_{10}$ vs. precipitation shows no significant periodicity from the time series of precipitation data, but the periodicity of EDI (Effective Drought Index) shows some interannual variabilities ranging from 2 to 4 years over the various source regions, suggesting that, rather than precipitation itself, the EDI could be more closely associated with the occurrence frequency of Asian dust and interannual variability of urban particle concentrations in Korean cities.

  • Temporal and spatial variations of temperature and salinity around Ganjeol Point during January, April, August and November 2011 were studied using the data from CTD observations and temperature monitoring buoys deployed at 20 stations in the southeast coast of Korea. Temperature and salinity were nearly homogeneous through the whole depth by mixing of the seawater in spring and winter related to the sea surface cooling. Stratification induced by the river runoff and the bottom cold water was clear in summer. In autumn, sea water had vertical mixing initiated from surface layer and weak stratification at the middle and bottom layers. Low temperature and high salinity emerged throughout the year near Ganjeol Point, which inferred from turbulent mixing and upwelling by its topographical effect. Major periods of 1/4~1.4 day temperature fluctuations were recorded for the most part of the stations. According to the cross spectral density analysis, high coherence and small time lag for temperature fluctuation between layers were shown at Ganjeol Point. However, those features at the northen area of Hoeya river were opposed to Ganjeol Point. From analyses, thermohaline structure and its fluctuation around Ganjeol Point were characterized into those three parts, the south of Ganjeol Point, Ganjeol Point and the north of Ganjeol Point.
