  • 단조성 유지 개념을 기반으로, 임의의 격자계에서 적용할 수 있는 새로운 제한자를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 개발된 제한자는 임의의 계산 격자계에서 정확성과 단조성을 유지할 수 있는 특성을 가졌으며, 이러한 특성으로 인하여 spectral volume 기법으로의 적용이 가능하다. 또한 이 제한자는 smooth extremum에서 물성치의 변화를 허용하여 내삽된 물성치의 정확도를 향상시켜주는 역할을 한다. 일차원, 이차원 수치 해석의 결과를 통하여 본 논문에서 개발된 제한자의 특성을 검증하였다.

  • Conventional high order interpolation schemes are limitative in several aspects mainly because they need data of neighboring cells at the reconstruction step. However, discontinuous Galerkin method and spectral volume method, two high order flux schemes which will be analyzed and compared in this paper, have an important benefit that they are not necessary to determine the flow gradients from data of neighboring cells or elements. These two schemes construct polynomial of variables within a cell so that even near wall or discontinuity, the high order does not deteriorate.

  • Microphytobenthos that supply nutrients to the intertidal ecosystem play an important part as a primary producer. If we estimate distribution and density of microphytobenthos, we can possibly calculate a volume of primary product in the tidal flat and its effect to the intertidal ecosystem. To estimate the portion of microphytobenthos, we used a linear spectral unmixing (LSU) method. LSU is a tool for inference the proportions of the pure components (or end-members) in a mixed pixel. The selection of end-members is critical to LSU. The end-members can be selected either from spectral libraries built from field surveys or from a remotely sensed image. We compared the two approaches of end-member selection, and the preliminary results showed end-members from from spectral library are as effective as those from image itself.

  • Backscattered underwater signals from multiple scatterers contain information regarding resolvable spatial distribution of scatterers. This experimental study describes the spectral characteristics of backscattered signal from multiple scatterers, which are regularly or randomly spaced, in terms of their amplitude and phase and a proper signal analysis that will eventually provide scatterer spacing estimation. Air-filled tubes suspended in water, steel balls and plastic tubes buried in the sediment are the multiple scatterers. The cepstrum and the spectral autocorrelation (SAC) methods were used to estimate the scatterer spacing from the backscattered signals. It was found that the SAC method could be improved by employing singular value decomposition (SVD) to extract the effective rank for the spectral components. Unlike the conventional method of estimating the density of scatterers within the insonified volume of water, this type of estimation method would provide better understanding of the spatial distribution of scatterers in the ocean.

  • The infrared radiation of exhaust plume was investigated numerically by a finite volume method (FVM) with anisotropic scattering particles. The exhaust plume is considered to absorb, emit and scatter radiant energy isotropically as well as anisotropically. The spatial and spectral distribution characteristics were obtained for the detection wavelength with $2.7{\mu}m$. The radiative intensities were presented for the different detective direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 스펙트럼 분석과 계절성 선형 모델을 이용하여 intra,-day 콜센터 통화량 예측에 필요한 계절성 변수를 찾아내는 방법을 제시한다. 제시한 방법을 북미 지역의 어느 은행의 5분 단위 콜센터 통화량에 실증 적용하여 기존의 통계적 방법으로는 입증할 수 없었던 월 단위 계절성 변수가 유의함을 보인다. 새로이 찾아진 연수가 intra-day 콜센터 통화량 예측능력을 향상시키는지 확인하기 위해서 새로운 변수를 포함하는 계절성 선형 모델과 이 변수를 포함하지 않은 계절성 선형 모델의 익일 통화량 예측능력을 비교 평가한다. 평가결과 새로운 변수를 포함한 모델이 우수하다는 결과를 얻었다.

  • A fault detecting method of ternary logic is proposed by using the spectral coefficients of the Chrestenson function. Fault detecting conditions are derived for a stuck-at fault in case of single input, multiple inputs and internal lines in the ternary logic. The detecting conditions for min/max bridging faults are also considered. When using this fault analysis method, it is possible to detect faults without the test vector and minimize high volume memory for storing the vector and response data. Thus, the computational complexity for the test vector can be decreased.

  • 국내외 해상 위험·유해물질(Hazardous and Noxious Substances, HNS) 물동량이 증가함에 따라 HNS 유출 사고의 위험성이 점차 높아지고 있다. 해상에 유출된 HNS는 해양생태계 파괴를 비롯한 해양환경 오염 및 인명피해를 유발하며, 화재 및 폭발 등을 동반한 2차 사고 발생 가능성도 존재한다. 따라서 해상 HNS의 신속한 탐지와 각 물질 특성에 적합한 방제전략을 수립해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 초분광 원격탐사에 기반한 지상 HNS 유출 실험 과정 및 탐지 알고리즘 적용 결과를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 프랑스 브레스트 지역의 야외 풀장에서 스티렌을 유출한 후 초분광 센서를 활용한 동시 관측을 수행하였다. 순수 스티렌 및 해수 스펙트럼은 주성분 분석(principal component analysis, PCA) 및 N-Findr 기법을 적용하여 추출하였으며, 또한 spectral distance similarity (SDS), spectral correlation similarity (SCS), spectral similarity value (SSV), spectral angle mapper (SAM)을 포함한 분광정합 기법을 적용하여 초분광 영상 내 화소들을 스티렌 및 해수로 분류하였다. 그 결과 SDS 및 SSV 기법이 우수한 스티렌 탐지 결과를 보여주었으며, 스티렌 총 면적은 약 1.03 m2로 추정되었다. 본 연구는 해상 HNS 모니터링에 주요 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • A three-dimensional multidirectional nonlinear numerical wave tank (NWT) based on the Navier-Stokes equations and the Finite Volume Method (FVM) is developed by using the two-phase hydrodynamic flow solver naoe-FOAM-SJTU based on the open source toolbox OpenFOAM. The free surface is capturing with the Volume Of Fluids (VOF). The directional wave including Stokes wave, solitary wave and nonlinear wave are simulated and verified. The multi-directional waves are also simulated with particular wave spectral such as JONSWAP and wave directional spreading function. The obtained numerical results show the capability of the solver to generate different type of multidirectional nonlinear waves accurately. Meanwhile, it implies that the presented NWT can easily extend to model the wave-structures interactions, which will be great help to the offshore structures design.
